No, you just don't understand budget constraints and the fact that this was made in the 90's. This deserves praise, not scorn from some snot-nosed kid that thinks he"understands" writing. This was written to the constraints of a budget before large-scale CGI made such endeavors relatively cheap. They succeeded greatly.
"Hey! I'm totally gonna trash their house, and then I'm gonna keep my hands INSIDE THE ENCLOSURE! Maybe even keep the tool in my hand, allowing them to climb up TO MY EXPOSED HANDS!"
A great episode; the scientist represents God and the Sand Kings represent his creation; mankind . Mankind fights wars against itself based upon race, whilst God gleefully watches on as his children destroy themselves. This episode is as enlightening, as it is nihilistic (not to mention entertaining).
Most of the comments on youtube are by stupid kids making references to pokemon characters. Most of the likes are by those same kids. I'll take that as a compliment. You all look foolish for trying to pick apart one of the best pieces of science fiction television that can hold its own even to this day.
I refuse to believe this man graduated from any accredited Phd program. No real scientist would act this way concerning potentially sentient life. Book is way better.

The tale of the humble man who nurtured a new lifeform, became arrogant with delusions of grandeur and ultimately sealed his fate as a fallen god.
Burning down the House with all this Discusting Bugs and Cockrages.😱🤭

He doesn't take any precautions ever, not even when he is bashing down their castle.

yeah, no professor would be this idiotic with dangerous exterrestrials without even a lid on
Very smart story, he's kinda like God, this shows what would have happened to God if he created us
Me, too. Thx very much~
all the outer limits episodes seem to be missing bits, I have no idea why, maybe copyright?
Pisses me off though.
Anyone else feel the sting on his hand didn't get as much attention as it should've?
The Sand Kings are all like:
"Hey nigga we gotta eat too! Damn........Weez gon kill this sombitch"
1:50 sick sunglasses dude
creepy stuff.
You believe certain beings are sentient yet you kill them?
