You showed your M M combine in your last video. It was about 1946 my grandfather sold out , dad bought what he wanted of granddads equipment to farm with. A 36 A John Deere , I H pull type combine , 40 I H pick up , and a few other pieces. In about 1956 I heard a loud bang! Dad slowed his G John Deere down to turn in the drive way a drunk driver run in to the back of his I H combine. As the G turned over to the right dad jumped to the left. Broke 2 small bones in his right hand , he was lucky! The drunk's insurance paid a dealership to fix dad's G. Eating supper dad made comment , they changed the cast post on the front G it was cracked. Dad told me later the G flipped on it top then back on its wheels , I shut my tractor off.

Maybe someday you'll see daylight at the end of the project list . That was one beauty of a tractor. Sure don't have the iron in the utility size current production tractors vs the 50 plus year old beasts !!!

That battery cutoff is a Good idea, and it looks good. Looks like a factory installed option.
Good looking great sounding 1955. You got me thinking about using my tractors more. I have a Case SC and John Deere B that have been sitting too long and you are quite right about things going wrong because they are sitting.

Love the videos and not knocking on you or poking you but the center plug would help it not squirter out. And please don't think I'm telling you how to do your job just speaking from experience lol I've made lots of oil spots on my oliver rims 😟

Love the turbo sound Ross. All them no cab tractors 4020 with M&W kit 1206 all have there own sound
My neighbor has an IH 856 with M&W turbo, that has its own sound too.
I drove an 560 once that had a turbo put on it and I thought that was a pretty nice tractor.

HI ROSS 😊😊 U couldve used a 5 gallon bucket W a long neck funnel also that will and tractors changed the steering wheels on them does that have a rubber boot 4 the steering wheel when they get old they dry rot then leak thats how water 💦 😮 gets in them and ross IVE ever heard of a oil pan like that 4 a tractor 🚜 😮 be 4 / I no that the old cork gaskets from years ago arent much they draw up and leak bad if theres a another oil pan gasket U can U will bettet off a oil pan gasket W the metal tabs are alot better than the old 1S I would still use gasket sealer ross I like 😊😊 the new battery cables they 1 peace ✌ not like the old 1S they 2 peace and after they are old they break in half 🌗 😮 YEP 2 peaces then U are right 👉 😮 back where U started from then U wont be saying momma either no jokes 😊😊 OMG 6 22 2O24

The Elwoods on my IHs are almost idot proof providing you can read the casting 🥴 Once or twice a year I check and top them off, they are slightly self changing 🤣 I still wonder why Oliver pushed the 310 so far hp wise, but it does sound good. 😉
I saw 3 of those IH with the Elwood axles in a collection one time and they were beautiful. The paint looked like you could jump right in.
just got home a while ago on a multi job b service call trouble shoot trim steering on a jd 700 swather over greesing andgot greesew on belts and sheavwe s cleaned as best we could with what we had on hand need some brake clean helped but not quite right need the brake clean trouble shoot s minnie mo modle lo manure vspreader bad br
