- Today's video is the review of the PUMA Deviate NITRO Elite 3, or more simply said the Deviate Elite 3, a shoe that is an absolute winner and that I really recommend you to try out. It has a few drawbacks and we will discuss them in this video.

I wish Puma would use wider lasts, but I fit in the V2 so I'm very excited for this. I've been wanting Puma to get the recognition they deserve for a while, maybe this will do it rather than the sleeper hits they've been having
I completely agree with your comment, we need wider lasts.I hope these comments are read by the people at puma
As a Puma fan I'm happy to see this. I already liked the DNE2 although I use it now mainly for interval sessions and I'm looking at this for an option in my future races :)
I don't know how to feel about these developments...
Really liked the DE1 for how low to the ground and stable, yet bouncy, it was. Was a nice difference from the other big stack and somewhat unstable supershoes.
To me, elite series were much much nicer and more stable than vaporfly series. To be honest, I really like elite 2 for its stability which is opposite to what you thought of it😅
The only downside of elite 2 is, it is not supportive enough, that the midsole dies off within 10km.
I'm about 400 miles on deviate elite 1s ... BUT PUMA doesn't know how to construct comfortable tongues. Zero on elite 1s. Horrible lace bite. The other model with even more horrible knit tongue... Frw faster or whatever it's called. 3 runs in on that and I'll never try them again. Horrible tongue and horrible lockdown. I haven't tried the Elite 2s of deviate but it seems these 3s are sold out on Puma website and noone else has them. 😂
Just from popping it on foot at the moment is feels like it’ll be a lot more aggressive and bouncy than the v2. Can’t wait to put it to the test.
This is my exact experience in the shoe. I took it on a 9 mile progression run starting at 8 minutes a mile working down to 6:20 a mile and the shoe really came alive around 7:10 and below
Oh, my question was replied! Thanks! Looking forward for this one 😊
The grip should nake it great for Hyrox. The stack height and lack of stability might be a challenge
love the color not available yet in my country
Love it when your thumbnail were pictures of only the shoes...
Yeah something is wrong with his face
“One of the least stable super shoes” - Sounds perfect. I hate all these shoes trying to manipulate my gait
There you go!
I'm interested to hear how this compares to the Metaspeed Edge Paris (which I got earlier this week). The way you describe the Puma, sounds like it has a lot of similarities with the Metaspeed, but it seems the Edge Paris is a bit more comfortable at slower paces?
BS this guy says it's made for one thing, not true, I run all paces in Elite 1s (6.5 oz) $75 USD, they are fine for slow runs and tempo and track runs. These Elite 3s vs Asics are that they are 6.8 oz ish 6.9 oz for mens 9 and the drop is 8mm. I think the Asics has the drop at 5mm. Are they the same weight? One thing about Puma is that their tongues are horrible. I have two elite models and absolutely hate the tongues. Lace bite up the wazoo but you need a lockdown so its much figuring it out over and over to get it right for a run. I heard the version 2 of the deviate elite had an improved padded tongue vs elite 1s.
@@jakerunsabroad The Edge Paris weighs 6.5 for the standard size. My 40.5 EU (women's 9 and men's 7.5 US) weighs 5.9. The Edge Paris also has an absolute awful tongue, it's a wafer thin, floppy piece of fabric, with zero structure. The kind that wants to roll/bunch up when you put the shoes on. The FF Turbo + more than makes up for it though.
Blows away V1 and V2. Super cushioned and poppy. PR'ed a 5K and half marathon in the two times I've raced in it.
Recently bought previous version. Amazing at easy paces and terrible at faster paces when I want midfoot strike
Comparison to ASICS Metaspeed Edge Paris? Fit, stability, midsole resilience and softness vs Edge Paris?
I knocked 4 minutes off my parkrun pb in these Saturday, I got under 20 minutes for the first time 🎉
Thanks for the very nice review Alex! However I'm puzzled by your comment on stability: other reviewers said the shoe is very stable (to the point they mention stability is one of its strenghts.. see RUN-IX blog here in France: "Ses points forts sont sa légèreté, sa stabilité et le retour d’énergie"). How do you compare its stability vs other shoes like VF3 and Diadora's Gara Carbon (I do own both)? It would be useful for me since for other shoes (Rocket X 2 etc, I've always found similar feedback to yours on stability). Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your question, Charles. The DNE3 is less stable than the VF3 and the Gara. It really feels more wild and more unpredictable. I hope this helps.
@@AlexFilitti Thanks for the swift answer! Btw it would be great if you could - if possible - do a refresher of the metrics-related comparison of Race shoes for 2024 (you know the video where you compared max pronation velocity etc - gct time etc between shoes). Cheers.
I'll definitely be buying this
Compare it with endorphin pro4 and sc elite v4...
Really like Elite 2. But I think it is a shoe for 21k or interval sessions. I would like to know if the Elite 3 is a good 42k option, like Sky Paris or Endorphin Pro 4.
Thx
Hi. Whats the heel width of this (how many mm)? Also, comparison with pro 4?
Thanks
What is "faster"? I run at around 5min/km or 8min/mil.
Think ill stick with the Foreverrun..
when is deviate nitro 3 (non elite) coming out
Thinking of getting either a pair of these or the edge Paris, I want a more snappy pair for sprint distance triathlons.....help.
How it compares to deviate nitro 2 and adios pro 2, thanx :)
Is the feel of the cushion the same as Hyperion Max?
Totally disagree with you about the stability of the shoe. I tend to pronate and I have completed a 1st run and I found the shoe super stable. Everything I can agree.
Nice Review 👌
Is EP3 better for slower runners compared to DNE 3?
Yes EP3 is better for slower runners.
I'm curious how this holds up against the ON Cloudboom strike or the Nike. Any clue when the ON are coming out?
One guestiom.. Elite 3 is carbon plated shoe, but deviate nitro 3.. Also ❓
Nitro elite is lighter
@@FoodFFacts 🆗.. Thanks.. But I am interested for deviate nitro 3.. And is this carbon plated shoe
@@aleksandarkojic yes it is
Carbon plated but heavier
Heard the deviate nitro 3 is a carbon composite so it isn’t as stiff as the full carbon in the elite.
Hmm any resemblance with Endorphin Speed 2?
Your thumbnail is what one expects from channels that make content for 10 year olds.
Thanks for your comment. I value feedback and would be curious to know which other running channels do thumbnails that you enjoy more? Thanks again
@@AlexFilitti take a look at Kofuzi, Believe in the Run, Run Testers, Hes Kicks. You'd do yourself a favor to have a more adult oriented thumbnail to highlight the shoe without the need of the silly faces.
No room for big foot fam once again from Puma.
looks worse than 2 in every way, less rubber and more pebble lines in them, higher drop...pass
no jog footage such a GenZ LIAR
