I'll definitely be buying the Puma DN Elite 3. It's a reasonable price but I'll wait till it is discounted. I think the true test on performance is when you actually race in it because a lot of 'super' shoes can feel great but might not deliver the performance you were hoping for in terms of times and achieving a PB and just get relegated to a workout shoe. I can't believe Mizuno are selling the Neo Vista at the same price as the DN Elite 3 in Australia. The HOKA Cielo X1 is $100 more expensive ($420AUD) and has sold out in a lot of sizes! I must be poor or people are spending way too much and it is become a status symbol in the running world to own certain shoes? At least the first part of the comment is true.🙂 Thanks for the comparison review Edd. 👍

Oooo. I think you've just put me awft the sky Paris if I have to baby it. Stopped with Nike. Not sure about saucony's pellets, so putting the puma at the top of my wish list!
Ran PB marathon with Metaspeed, but last six miles were brutal on feet. Just got Puma. Feels more stable and comfortable. Can’t afford any more racing shoes. Happy Puma was cheaper
The durability of the new nitro elite foam seems way better than any other race shoes. I'm actually seeing the heel outsole wearing out before the foam seems to degrade
For the first time in my life, I'm about to invest more than 200 euros in a pair of running shoes. It doesn't have a Deviate 2 or Velocity Nitro 2 outsole for mixed terrain and trail runs, but I feel this is the right choice. To be faster without a significant loss of durability.
Great video Edd. Right now I'm about to start a half marathon cycle. I have the Sky Paris with few km and the Endorphin Elite the same. I will compete with one of those two (I think the Saucony is more aggressive and just as comfortable). Because of what you have said in this video, I will train with something very comfortable and durable like the Endorphin Pro 3 or the Adios Pro 3 and I will leave the other two to choose from in the competition. Thanks for everything, from Spain.🤟🤟🤟🎸🎸🎸🎤
The Saucony pro4 has good breathability and comfortable upper..the forefoot is too thin for serious long distance racing, but I used it for a mixed terrain 5k and quite often for medium pace training..the nike and the acics got nothing for me..the puma isn't available here yet but I intend to give it a try..
Interesting take on the VF3 being painful for those with flat feet - I have flat feet and bunions and the VF3 is the only shoe in my collection that never gives me any issues. The upper is soft and flexible so doesn’t rub against my bunion (hello Adios Pro 3!) and the midsole moulds perfectly with my feet. I find them absolutely spot on. Was considering the Edge Paris but if it’s narrower and has a stiffer upper then I may just buy another pair of VF3. Horses for courses and all that. 👍
It’s really useful you putting up the measurements, especially in the heel width area. The AMSP(I had the edge, put same measurements I’m assuming) is just too narrow in the heel for me, so it’s either wait for the next drop of AP3 or get the PDNE3 for my marathons.
@@EDDBUD I’m gently introducing myself to puma by purchasing the deviate nitro 2 yesterday for £92.65 with a little discount👌. It that works well for me as a daily trainer then I’ll get the elite 3 for racing.
Interesting. I have all four of these as well-actually 3.5 because I have the Edge Paris, not the Sky-and I would agree on some things but not about the softness of the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3. I mean, it’s soft enough and very, very responsive, but I wouldn’t call it compressive. At least not until I really pick up the pace. It comes to life the more I really think about attacking the ground. For me, it’s a 5k-15k racer that could maybe stretch to half marathon. Maybe I’m just too small a guy to really put the optimal amount of force into that midsole. 🤷♂️ And oddly enough, my Edge Paris is holding up better than all the rest except for the Puma. On price, in the US, the Endorphin Pro 4 is actually cheaper than the Puma by $5. I know Saucony’s prices are ridiculously inflated in the UK though.
Great comparison video. Unfortunately this shoe is nowhere to be found in the UK as of now. Only womens version available. What is the official release date?
At the moment my Vaporfly 3 are treating me well. May get another pair as a daily trainer, but I'll see what the Streakfly 2 and/or Zoomfly 6 are like.
Thanks for the comparison. I did my first run in the Vaporfly 3 recently and haven't experienced the baggy toebox/upper issue that you have. In fact, it feels much the same as the V2. However, I do believe that quality control/inconsistency issues exist across all the brands. For instance, between my wife and I - we own five pairs of the Puma Velocity Nitro 2. Of those, two pairs were perfect - just the right balance of responsiveness and cushion, plus supremely comfortable straight out of the box. Whereas the other three pairs were firm and not particularly responsive - even after trying to break in over and above 60km. Odd and also very disappointing!
Puma are not shy of having their shoes on sale. Will try this shoe and replace my endorphin speed 3 when times come. Hopefully puma has more cushioning

But then you have already done all the seemingly in-bracket comparisons!
Mainly shoes recently released in this video
Puma Nitro Elite 3 vs Saucony Elite which do you like more for Half ?
They are chalk and cheese. Squash in the Puma. Firm response in the elite
Here's a comment to fight the algorithm!
Much appreciated
Hello!
Thanks for tuning in
Really looking forward to getting the DNE3 on foot. I used the DNE1 on a trail race thei weekend and it was spot on. The Pumagrip was brilliant on dry trails.
People really overlooked that one
DNE1 my fav for fast intervals and 5Ks.. I wished only for higher stack, and laces near toes and ....DNE3 came up🎉💯 let Puma 🙏 produce a lot of these cats!!!😅
Hi edd. Did you get prime x v1 vibes in the Puma elite 3? I kinda did
Not quite. It’s a bit more like the magic Metaspeed sky paris mixed with a rc elite 1.
Would you choose the metaspeed edge Paris or the endorphin pro 4? I have a wider foot for reference but I heel strike.
Seem to prefer the mechanics of the edge/sky over the end pro
You also know Shure SM58? How about Shure SM7B which is the TH-camrs mic?
I am a little confused as to the use of that one. It’s not really needed for such close proximity. Prefer the use of a large diagram condensor mic for my videos.
@@EDDBUD LDC requires a good insulated room.
SM7B requires higher gain amp (usually 58dB range. And it requires the talker to "eat the mic", lol. Which is mostly used for podcasts and talking head videos.
Are you using a shotgun mic? :)
@@DarkPa1adin either an old Toa shotgun or whatever is to hand. The room is full of wood ( ceiling and cladding ) thick carpet. Good recipe for decent sound 👍🏼

Is the Puma Elite 3 "softer" than version 2? 😊
Yes more foam and a softer version of it
I am looking for a new racing shoe (10km) and I was looking at the Puma Deviate Nitro elite 3. But now I read somewhere that you cannot replace the insole. Is that true? That would be such a pity. Thank you.
Seems to come out with a little warming up of the glue
@@EDDBUD Thank you very much for checking it out.
28th place? I need a participation 🏆
Tuning in is much appreciated 👊
Would you race in DNE 3 or the Sky Paris?
Either. I see the Puma being more durable though
Hello.
Bronze
Sir how is nike peg flyease tightness? Is their tightness is good for long term?
Not sure on the flyease. Haven’t tried it
Going to save up for the puma/ get some earth credits off the wife 😂but I have just got a pair of the mizuno pro for £45 off vinted with 80 miles on them .
AWESOME 🤩
Thanks 🤗
I'm a SM57 man myself 🎤👍
The 57 will do anything! Fav was under snare then a beta 57 on top.
