A definite buy for me in the near future. The DN2 is one of my favorite shoes. Just been out on holidays and the DN2 was the show I took with me for my runs.
One of my favourite shoes ever (I have run in Vaporflys, Alphaflys, Pro3s, Takumi Sen 9s, etc.). I am coming up to 700kms and they are still working brilliantly. Puma grip is awesome.
Version 2 was great. I just can't understand why the style team allowed the branding team to scrawl NITRO in such a massive and intrusive fashion on version 3?
Was able to pick V2 cheap here in AUS but just wasn't the shoe for me. Take a size 15 but they felt really narrow around the toes and shorter in length. Noticeable difference compared to my Saucony Endorphin Pro & speed 3's and Boston 12's. If the V3's are even narrower then I'm out I'm afraid.
I don't really care what running shoes look like but you're right. It's not just a Puma thing. With all brands you can pick the colours that are going to be available cheap in a years time. Makes me wonder why they do it. That said I will quite happily buy the cheap shoes no matter what they look like.
@@Fraser365 wanted to get another pair of Deviate 2s but sold out. Seemed like Puma only had a small release of them. Let’s hope they make more in Deviate 3
Shoe nerd question. Is the nitro elite the same as the deviate nitro and elite 2 and original Fast-r (super critical peba) or is the same as the fast-r 2/deviate elite 3 and is an A-TPU? Ps Love the Nitro printing on the side. Needs something like “super speed/super nitro” on there aswell, everything needs Super in it, instantly makes it better.
How's it compare to V.2 Chris? I found that shoe just bang ordinary and use it for walking and knocking around in. Admittedly, I only paid £65 for them but, even so, I just use my Superblast when I would maybe reach for the Puma.
First mate, my problem on the second version is the heel is rigid and had a hard time maybe due to its outsole. I hope this gets better and beat Saucony ES 4, Adidas Boston 12/13..
Waiting DN3 to replace my DN2. But, Not much upgrade. Slightly warmer. And 10mm drop. Not going take DN3 then. I'll just stay for DN2 and maybe gonna take another DN2. Cause my old Pair already hit almost 400km. :)
10mm drop and narrow fit disqualified this one for my consideration - and i dont think ver 2 has been sold as wide option here in Au if that is the case doubt that will change with ver 3 at least here in Au.... But to be fair all puma shoes are extremely narrow so no surprise here. Either narrow or if not - ForeverRun trainer example- very wierd ancle collar fit rubbing my skin off So in general Puma might case to exist and I won't even notice :)
@@FordyRuns not many brands do wide option here but to be fair not many companies care about continent at the end of the world with population lees than one country in Eu lol Ver 2 is very good but narrow too and very uncomfortable fit as consequence do not use it as much as would like, maybe 0.5 size up would fix the issue - same as will be doing in SL 2 once more colorways roll in ...
I have a pair of DN2 and I do something wrong as my calves hurt as hell after 5k. I even tried it with other inner sole, longer and short distances and on different surfaces as well, with the same experience. No other shoe does that to me. My only idea of the reason is that I am a heel striker. Do you have any ideas or advices?
I put just over 300 miles in the v2 before I thought they lost their magic. I was looking forward to the v3 but having just purchased the Neo Vista (great shoe) and with Asics soon to be releasing the Superblast v2 I just think I'll go with those options of the Deviate Nitro v3
Good that you mention pumas narrow fit. Are you sure one size up also work instead of Wide as you said? Wide is rare and sold as a premium here. ASICS, get a grip!
@@CATinBOOTS81 Thanks, just did😳 (edit the 2nd version). Let's see how fat my feet are. It says on their size chart that the wide model is the same width as a regular velocity so I'm not that hopeful... On some models there is even no difference between wide and regular for certain sizes (mine) according to theirs size chart. And having a "wide" very narrow shoe makes it confusing with wider regular models...
which would you recommend for an over pronator between this, Nitro 2 or the Asics GT 2000 12 please? Wanting to get back into running again but nothing too tough such as marathons, etc! Thanks!
I'm split between getting this or the DNE 2 for my marathon shoe. I ran my first one last year with the DN2 and it honestly felt pretty good but I'm looking for an upgrade
Does anyone have both the DN3 and Superblast V2 and able to share which one they prefer? I am aware the former is plated and the latter isn't so may not be in the same "category" but am torn between these two offerings. FWIW I have both the DN2 and Superblast V1 and LOVE both.

A definite buy for me in the near future. The DN2 is one of my favorite shoes. Just been out on holidays and the DN2 was the show I took with me for my runs.
Keen to get a pair. The V2 are my favourite road shoe ever, so will inevitably try the 3s.
They are excellent

Hey! how would you compare it to vaporflys/adios pro 3? would it work as racing shoe also?
Bought a spare pair of the DN2 that just arrived today! The high coverage knobby outsole of the 2 being a key USP. Drop was only 5.6mm measured.
Both Puma and Reebok are so underrated.
Version 2 was great. I just can't understand why the style team allowed the branding team to scrawl NITRO in such a massive and intrusive fashion on version 3?
The elite has the same
Looks like the germans outsourced a little too much decision making to the Mericans.
Interesting you size up . I have to size down in puma....I find them quite long .
Can't believe people really care about this. It's crazy
I have bought recently a Puma running t-shirt with a massive word PUMA on it. I see a continuity with their branding strategy.
For me I think I will run my version 2 into the ground plus I have found the Boston 12 to be more versatile too
You right, imo Adidas Adizero Boston 12 are a notch over the Puma Deviate Nitro 2.
I found the DN2 superior to the Boston 12, although they are both close in a lot of areas
Yeah good shout
We should all have shoes with nutter in big letters. Maybe, even a t shirt.

This comment and Fordy's reply... 🔥
looks good will u be doing a review of the elite 3 that looks quite good as well

It's monday, Like to Fordy. I prefer the puma velocity nitro 3. Have a good day.
Thank you

they do run narrow
Whilst it’s only an asthetic.. the massive word NITRO 😩.. why.
However puma are generally superb. Unsung heroes of the shoe world for me!
I love Puma running shoes and have 3 pairs of different models that I enjoy. That huge Nitro looks absolutely terrible though 😂

The massive word NITRO is inline from what I expect from PUMA. And that's part of the reason I love that brand.
Not finished watching yet, but version 2 was an absolute banger. Hoping to pick up another pair in a sale now the new ones are releasing.
Yeah absolutely banging

Superblast all day long
If you could only buy the DN 3, Dn2 or Boston 12 which one would you recommend?
Can I use the same size for the Deviate Nitro 3 that works (snug fit !)and I use with my Velocity Nitro 3 ? Or do I need half size up ?
I have just bought the new new balance 860 v 14 will you be doing a video on those ?

They did in V2 so hopefully
Need to review the Elite version now pls
There are two versions DV8 Nitro Elite 3 and DV8 Nitro 3. Which one did you test. There's a difference (including price).
Correct and the video of the elite drops tomorrow which is their marathon and racing shoe
By the looks of your review the Elite is the version to buy. Have to wait, here in Canada, until first week of July.

Wish puma did shoes in a 11.5
they have a 30% off atm .. got my first nitro

Wow, 39 mm in a daily trainer not for me, but I’m sure a lot of people want it. I like to get back to some running shoes.
It’s the new norm
You have to learn how to use the tool (the shoes) and adapt.😉
There is a reason why it’s the new standard and the benefits are undeniable.
I'm with you mate, I've moved away from all the max stack shoes, ive started running in the adios 8 (28mm stack in the heel) and im loving it
It’s the way a lot are going … why not grab the rebel 4 that’s not
superblast2 enters the chat lol
Not long til it does
you say you can do anything in it, however, doing a slow easy run in a shoe that has "NITRO" written on it... is just going to make you look stupid.

The huge Nitro brand wording on the shoe is enough to stop me buying it, unfortunately. They need to make it more subtle, as it looks tacky.
