Hot damn, I had no idea VTOL VR was capable of this much in terms of multiplayer support, map size, and freedom in creating operations. Very nicely put together as well, you could have fooled me into thinking some of this was real life footage. Wish I could play this!
The only limit is your imagination and the time you want to spend putting everything together. This OP was actually run before the most recent updates that have added all sorts of crazy stuff for mission creators.
that flight back has got to be one of the best feelings in the world. man one of my faviorate things in flight sim games is formation flying. its suck an incredible feeling everyone being in sync like that
VTOL VR, it's a great sim/'game. For those that play it, realise this.....for those seeing the VR name may think it's gimmicky and not really look into it. It's well worth it - here's to more updates and capabilities.
I was skeptical of not using a physical hotas to fly, but it's really pretty intuitive once you get used to it. I still use physical rudder pedals though.
@@sz-zr6rn The only point at which the enemy could've seen us was after we popped up, at which point they promptly spotted us with their radars. There really wasn't any downside to doing it.
Love the AC subtitles and planning screen. How did you make that?? This was a great watch. Making this comment before you have 900 subs and before this channel absolutely blows up.
The editing software I used is called Davinci Resolve. Using the fusion tool you can create all sorts of motion graphics and animations. All VTOL maps have a height map that you can find in the editor resources folder of your game. I used that height map to create the terrain and a particle system to create the buildings and enemies.
Props. The Ace Combat/Project Wingman radio-text edits. Chef kiss. Also, that canyon run reminded me: Why do missions only have Day, Night, and MORNING options? Why no DUSK tho?
Nope, it's all done natively through the video editing software that I use called Davinchi Resolve. It takes advantage of the Fusion engine built into the program.
Also amazing formation there! And for a while I thought 1-2 is down 'til he showed up after the run. Did all three flights (mace, lancer and y'all sabers) messed up the Chinese's night badly?
Hey, this is "Finger" talking (I was Saber 1-1). As far as I remember all flights fucked the Chinese up! 1-2 did go down but he respawned and rejoined us for the landing section.
I think it is this but Freedomplaza, the map maker, does such a horrible job naming things that I’m really only guessing: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2786195876 The mission name is OpLeopardCat Mission 3
I can confirm that I do a bad job naming things, although in my defense whenever I try to rename the campaign it's just defaults to like "campaign name" or smth. It's a rare but known bug.
Actually, VTOL VR alongside Top Gun Maverick made me realize that I probably SHOULD join the Air Force. Now here I am, studying for the ASVAB and am about to do it! :D
Playing VTOL VR in solo and i have 3 questions for you all : I never see something like this 4:12, this link between you, what it is ? The voice of the leader seems to be repeated in the game modulated ? What it is ? at 6:51 as example What is the difference between lancer and saber ? The number after seems to be like ... The ID, and the last word seems to be the nametag, but what is lancer or saber ? EDIT : I understood the "link", this is the TGP laser between everyone
Can you tell me how did you record the outside view and stuff? I know there is external camera for recording but I cannot control it while am attacking and stuff. Is there any option to record a replay?
@@tauront Pretty much. With my settings it will lock onto and "look" at whatever you are targeting so if you give yourself a targeting pod you can point the targeting pod at anything you want the s-cam to follow. I use this when I'm flying in formation by locking up the friendlies that I'm flying with.
I used Davinci Resolve as the video editing program. The intro itself is a fusion composition. Using the height maps extracted from the game files, I created the 3D terrain. The cities and enemies use a mix of particle effects and replicate 3d nodes that place cubes wherever a particle spawns. The final step was animating the flights and capturing everything using the 3d camera. The important thing is to do everything in 15-second chunks because fusion starts to lose stability the longer the clip is.
First one exploded beneath me and knocked off almost all of my weapons and damaged my wing. The second one detonated on flares close behind me and didn’t do any damage.
Let's hope the mission briefing won't age... into reality.
Yeah we like Mil"Sim" not so much Mil"Reality"

Real life footage 😂😂maybe for someone who had permanent psychosis would think this was real but that’s a stretch lol

Fencing in means you also turn your strobe and nav lights off, unless you like giving the enemy the advantage of seeing you early.
For this particular op, we had flight leads only keep their strobes on so that we could ID better.

truly a 4' 11" moment

Bro, Martin O’Donnell’s music is perfect for this. I definitely recognized it right away! Amazing flying and great editing too!
Absolutely beautiful edit. Gives me serious AC4 vibes.
I almost used the AC4 briefing music but decided that the AC5 music fit better.
Yeah, that's what I thought of
The intro alone was super well done for AC style, great job!
I Love how well made this was
This vid is a CAW certified classic
Truly one of the operations of all time.
neo de jong.
Amazing Ace Combat like style intro ! Also great video :D
Good fucking shit man! Probably some of the, if not the best VTOL VR content I've seen!
🤔
Epic. Top Gun music was playing in my head as you overflew the boat.
Really cool seeing your formation and my final from a different angle

I was gonna call my friend to play VTOL at 9:30 and this video ended right then!
Man this is so sick! having the subs at the top are a really nice touch, makes it much easier to tell who's who.
Amazing editing. Truly a great video 👍
this is REALLY GOOD EDITING you just got a new subscriber!
By far the sickest fucking video of night NOD's vtol vr! Wish i was there that wouldve been sick as hell!
Damn what a video was actually thinking of getting back in the ops, haven't been in nearly a 1 1/2
Great video! Superb flying.
Ahh gotta love how halo music fits with everything
you should feel great about this video, very high quality. also i love the outro
Amazing video
The ODST music at the start fits in so well
Yooooo AC4 briefing!!

ps: love the ace combat theme
Cool intro dude 👌
Thanks I appreciate it
I loved the ace combat style intro
That AC vibe tho, love it ❤

Way to go using Ace Combat Music!
This gives me the hope to make my own campaign/mission now I am actually excited lok

Saber Flight on Sunday fared much better than on Saturday
Imagine losing nearly all of your flight
Would've been nice & adrenaline-inducing if there's "kickstart my heart" or "free bird" playing in the background...
It would've been awesome
Underrated >:(
Took me a while, but I finally started flying missions with CAW
