    As I've heard real life pilots say: Fighters use physics, helicopters you have to beat into submission

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Too accurate. If you beat too hard, it fights back.

    • @allanblack8635
      @allanblack8635 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You beat them into submission with a gental two fingers touch.

    Easy tip for quick hard core manuevers:
    Drop the collective to zero before you yank the stick. This prevents your downside rotor from stalling, causing you to flip uncontrollably

    The center indicator with the blue top and brown bottom is called the Artificial Horizon. it shows you the attitude (NOT ALTITUDE) of the aircraft and where the horizon is in relation to you (really REALLY helpful when flying at night when both the ground AND the sky both have lights and you lose spatial orientation and become confused where the ground is and not sure if you're pointing the nose up or down).

    Not called the meatball, but fpm (flight path marker). meatball is the glide-slope alignment indicator for carriers.

      This is true. I’m an idiot tho and forgot to look up any terminology before recording lmao.

    Some will wonder why their rotors aren’t spinning, don’t forget the rotor brake 😂. Other than that great vid!

    amazing video i found this super helpful. like you mentioned cutting the collective for a sharper turn seemed counter intuitive to me at first but (as dumb as it sounds) I thought of it as clutch kicking to induce a drift in a car and it helped me get used to it a lot quicker. again amazing video im looking forward to watching more of these with a friend to have a fully combat operational AH-94

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m so happy you got it. It is exactly like clutch kicking. I’m hoping to work on some more videos around live fire and cooperative action so stay tuned.

    For new pilots you should really mention the Flight Assist dial (I believe that's what it is anyway) and how they should always crank it up to the max.

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great idea. The SAS dial is one of those things that I haven’t covered yet. As far as I know, it should be max by default. I will go over that and other thing like trim in the advanced tutorial

      @@lights_carbon_action Yooo, i've been wondering what that is. Normally it seems to be at the middle position (at least for me).

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theredgamer9336 I would suggest increasing it to max especially if you are using heavy loadouts. SAS is an absolute lifesaver with that weight

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah being fully immersed in the flight can be a bit disorienting at first. It is so much easier to fly in desktop with all the info right in front of you.

    2:02 pretty sure its the attitude indicator

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I figured out that it’s called an HSI or horizontal situation indicator. It tells you your pitch, roll, and yaw when using IFR.

    And on another note, how are you able to keep the aircraft so steady in flight? When I fly, the helicopter is so sensitive, it moves around like a troubled child on crack and is hard to keep on a level flight.

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lmaoooo I rest my controller on the arm of my chair and gently adjust it. It also helps to crank the SAS dial all the way up to help keep it stable. I go over that in the advanced movement tutorial.

    • @Dyskord1
      @Dyskord1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      best advice a saw from another vid is to go into the game menu on the mfd and set the joystick sensitivity to .6, it still lets you use the full range but really helps to smooth out the very small adjustments. if its not sensitive enough for you, you can split the difference and set it to .8, default is 1.

    how do i stop my copter from just spinning in a circle. it will not hover

    • @lights_carbon_action
      @lights_carbon_action  ปีที่แล้ว

      Check your SAS dial. It should be at half power to start but you will want to crank it to full. It is found at the front left of your main control panel

    • @lights_carbon_action

      That's a great tactic that I'll be going over in the advanced flight video. The timing can be a bit more difficult for beginner pilots to get down so I figured I would leave it for now.
