KC12 is a great pour, so great I just made a pour of it. Mmmm! At 100 proof no major burn but enough to let your palette know its got a damn fine bourbon in there.ha!
Absolutely! It's readily available in our area at 60 dollars. You just can't go wrong!
Nice review guys. I have 3 bottles of Knob 12 on the shelf. Only thing that comes close is some of the Knob Creek Single Barrel Store Picks. KC 12 is $70 in my area. Hard to beat. 🥃
It was $75 here in MD and hard to find, went to $60, and then I saw it for $53 ~ one month ago and had to pick it up. I made an old fashioned for a couple of friends last week, and they were blown away. Such a great pour.
I bough a bottle a few moths ago and I been saving it for my birthday on Sunday and hearing all this makes me even more excited to enjoy it.

I'm new to bourbon and I like this channel. It's helping me gain an appreciation for a lot of the subtleties. I have what's probably a stupid question. I mean it sincerely so don't attack me.. Instead of guessing at what the flavors seem like, would it not be easier to just contact the distillery and ask them what's in it? Unless it's proprietary I'm sure they'd just tell you. And then you'd know. .. No?
Thanks for watching! In order to legally be qualified as a bourbon, it can't have any sort of added flavor. All bourbons have to be made of a mashbill (ingredients) of at least 51 percent corn. MOST of them being made of corn, Rye, and malted barley, or corn, wheat and malted barley. Some of the flavors come from these grains, but most of the flavors (about 75 percent) come from the barrel during the aging process. So, there aren't any added flavors that give it its unique taste...it's all nature!
@@TheBourbonNote Ah ok.. Thanks for the detailed response. That makes sense. So when people say they're getting notes of chocolate or vanilla etc. then it's not actual chocolate or vanilla. There's just something in the barrel oak that resembles that flavour. Got it. Thank you.
Sadly in Canada this is $135 now regular. I found it on sale for $115. The 9 year is $44 so it hard to justify.

I love KC never had it until a month ago. 9yr single barrel reserve is amazing that 120 proof is were I like my proof.
It's not available all the time I'm my area which is N/E California. I just happened to walk into a a total wine and more and they had it . Ended up going back the next day an bought two more bottles. 12yr is in my top 10 easily.
I did have a chance get KC 18yr the $200 price tag was just too much. It was pick from a drawing total wine and more had I won but still had to buy bottle .

I saw one of these for the first time a couple of weeks ago and didn’t buy it. I regret it now. It was around $75 here. If they still have it or I see it somewhere else I will have to give it a try.
