    Thank you so much for making this video Pavel! I sort of had an idea of how the backhand toe drag worked but I never knew how to pull it off. This video helped me learn the mechanics of the move and your video about its effectiveness in a shootout helped as well. Now I'll have to go try it out on the ice and practice it some more! Thank you so much!

    Hey Pav.
    I really enjoy all your videos, and learned a lot from them. Last year I was 0-6 on Penalty shots and in shootouts, and in the summer I discovered your videos. Over the course of the summer, I worked on the moves you put on here every time I was on the ice. This year, I was 3-4 on penalty shots and shootouts.
    I'd say your videos are probably what made me successful, and I can't thank you enough man.
    Keep doing what you're doing :)

      Happy to hear that buddy! Never stop training - keep the quality of training high, and don't be afraid to fail. Then go back and correct those failures. You can always be better, but celebrate the little victories :). Proud of you bud.

    Lovin' the shirt, Pav! The curve part of the video got me thinkin about the datsyuk curve (I use a similar one), and how datsyuk stickhandles. That lead me to just think about how good datsyuk is, and i know you love him and marvel at him just the same. Do you think, you could do a video on WHY he is so good, or about how he prefers his sticks? I can only envision you doing a video about him.

      @PavelBarber  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      haha maybe! I know he uses a longer blade and a heavier stick. Maybe in the future!

    Pavel how do you get the same feel when switching from off ice training with shoes on to on-ice training, do you use a shorter stick, taller shoes, etc. when you're training off ice?

    Hey Pav, I heard you mention in this video that you'd be making a another video teaching the regular forehand toe drag and when to use it. You said it was gonna be up in a week, just wondering if you're still gonna do it? thanks.

    Hi,Pavel. I need your help. I have a problem with off-ice training. When I train with green biscuit, or normal puck on the ground - I feel it very well and in control , but when I go out on the ice with the puck normal , then immediately lost control . The puck becomes severe and obedient. I'm losing faith. Sorry for bad English , I speak another language. I love your videos

    I saw this one guy one a PP and was on the point he had a man open to his right and to his left with a defender in front of him. He had the puck on his forehand and appeared he was going to pass it to the player to the right of him but he pulled the backhand toe drag to pass to the player to his left.

    • @PavelBarber
      @PavelBarber  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patrick Star The backhand toe drag is much different than a backhand pull back move (like the one Datsyuk uses in his Datsyukian shootout). Keep in mind the backhand toe drag uses the backhand toe. The other one is just using the backhand of the blade and not the backhand toe. Both effective when used at the right time, but both very different.
