  • This video is a brief description of the Denver School of Metal Arts Metalsmithing II projects and the skills students will learn in class.
In Metalsmithing II, students will build on previously learned skills from Metalsmithing I and enhance their jewelry making abilities by learning how to make a 5-6 cabochon stone bracelet with a handmade toggle clasp, logo tag and a textured ring band with a cabochon stone. Students will learn many new techniques including making jump rings, drilling, ring forming and soldering, working with tubing, making a toggle clasp, practice making bezels to set various shaped cabochons, practice setting several stones, with an emphasis on modern professional finishing techniques.
This is a technique oriented class, so students should expect to finish with enough knowledge of the process to be able to create their own jewelry at home.
The Denver School of Metal Arts is a metalsmithing and jewelry art school located in Denver, Colorado. We offer classes throughout the year and for all skill levels.
