Intro to CAD - Denver School of Metal Arts
In this cutting edge workshop, CAD design will be taught using a free program called Pro Design. This software makes it possible to explore your design options and to actually experience CAD design in jewelry making before spending many hundreds of dollars on expensive software. After taking this comprehensive workshop, students will understand the design/build process and will be able to make an informed decision whether or not CAD design is what they want to pursue. Options on other software will be discussed in class.
This class will be taught by Nathalia Guarascio. Nathalia is a contemporary jewelry artist based in Denver USA, founder of Guarascio Contemporary Jewelry. She graduated from the Design For Industry program at Birmingham City University with a B.A. with honors. Nathaila has won many awards, as of 2014 she's foucused on Technology CAD and sintering. She is featured in a permanent exhbition at the Rolland DG UK (the sponser of Guarascio Jewellery Imodella equipment awared to Nathalia at the New Designers exhibition in 2013) at the Creative Center displayed alongside Simon Harrison's collection for Ted Baker and Vivian Westwood.
