Rachel, Linda does some pretty amazing work! I LOVE how she fixed up the Steiner Doll's dress with the sashes and the lace! She actually makes the melting of the fabric look like it's part of the style of the dress:)!! Linda is really quite the seamstress! And she did a good job with your husband's overalls as well:)!! As for the Steiner doll, the first blond curly wig I think looks the best on her! I also love that flirty doll! The Mohair haired eyelashes in The dimple on her chin make her look absolutely beautiful:)!! I also like the African-American Juneau Doll as well:)!! Thank you For sharing with us Linda's amazing Seamstress and doll restoration talents:)!! Linda also seems like a nice down-to-earth person who makes a wonderful teacher:)!! And as for hiding the dolls from her husband, that was kind of Hilarious:)!!! I don't think I could hide my dolls and teddy bears from my boyfriend quite as well, LOL:)!! And Rachel your dog Ripley Is adorable:)!!
Great job Linda with that Steiner too! Glad that she has already a new mom! I love to hear Linda talk about all that she does and comments about dolls, especially when she said that she hides dolls from her husband. Makes me feel better that I am not the only one!! Anyway she is so talented that she should have a patent with the Jumeau portrait and mass produced for girls our generation. They would love those beautiful articulated dolls!
Hi, I ' m an Italian collector of vintage dolls from the Sixties... I felt a sort of a bliss when you told that the dolls call you... I felt it' s so true... I sometimes feel I ' m weird, because my family doesn' t approve me, (although I don' t spend much money and I' m really careful ) so your words are such a relief for my suol... thank you🥰
Such a treat to see the completed costume after stabilization. Linda is so skilled 😊, Who is the doll in red, lying opposite where Linda is working, please? Oh, the JUMEAU!!! She's wonderful! Maybe my ethnic Huret and Doleac needsanother friend??
So nice to get to know Linda a little more. Such a talent. Wow. I love her sweet and unassuming manner despite all the magic she performs. I’m so lucky to be the new mom for one of her wondrous reincarnations! I’m sure this won’t be my last🤗
This video made me feel better about having so many interests that I go back and forth with. I mainly collect vintage Barbies, but I also really love antique China head dolls and composition dolls. So my collection jumps around a lot lol
Hi again, Thank you for your reply. I was inquiring about the oil pastels and compo repair chalks you use for crazing on your compo dolls. Would love to find out more about them and where I might be able to buy them. If there is a better way to find out please advise...Thank you...
Hello I have been watching you for sometime now. Love the shows. I did watch one when you and another doll restorer used some oil pastels for doll crazing. What are they called. and where can I buy them. Noticed on was called Compo Repair then that was all I could see. What are the names of both items and where may I purchase them. Thank you kindly, Pamela
Hi! I forgot what they’re called, will have to recall the video. I just did a couple of searches online for them and can’t find them. It’s something like “Craze Control” sticks. I’ll see if I can find the sticks at the shop.
@@RachelHoffmanDolls Thank you so much!!! I just today found your reply. My mail has switched to coming in 2 separate forms. I have missed many emails. Looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Pamela
Thank you for wise words, as I love so many different things, trouble is, I'm like a frog that lands on a lily pad, then fees guilty for not occupying the others! Doll Artisans guild, I will look into this, as I'm in the UK, and want to learn more. Xx
boredom is not in the genes of doll collectors/players, I am 68 retired with my gang of 50 (16" modern dolls Tonner, Integrity, Madame Alexander, Horsman etc.) and I never ever get bored on minute in my days.
my gang 50 dolls came to me bought or offered to me as present... as you do Rachel, I keep them near me on my desk and wait to be "connected", then magic happens. she/he "tells me her/his name, then country of origin, work, address, passion, job, favorite color, and style. All my dolls have a true personality. Lilly who is my muse is originally Tyler 1999 from R. Tonner, her full name is Lilly, Dom Chevalier-Fox / she lives rue Gabrielle, Paris France / she is fashion designer / self employed / birthday may 03rd / Pet, black/brown beagle named Coco / her hobby fashion and travel she loves asymmetrical fashion, her character friendly, creative and bright - I spend hours figuring who my new doll will become and I enjoy this immensely.

Wait Linda made that portrait Jumeau? It is fantastic! Does she teach people to make those in her webinars?
She does. She has different themes for each of her seminars. She’s amazing!

Can you buy the doll head moulds?
Do you have any videos on replacing eyelashes in a JDK 214 mold 27" sleep eye doll?
Hi! We do not specifically.

Is it a porcelain or vinyl doll?
It is an antique bisque/porcelain doll.
