The ATGM meta changed everything and killed off the slow tanks like dinosaurs. It was completely broken when it was released. The actual damage model was..... not modeled. I got the chieftain (basically my most look forwarded to videogame tank) the patch this came out and proceeded to see levels of fuckery I hadn't seen since the T-54 was initially released in WoT. I stopped playing for six months due to this one vehicle, never happened before or since. Gaijin taking pages out of WoT's F2P handbook.
Same vehicle for me, only thing I was worried about in the Chieftain as there was nothing you could do (barring a very, very lucky hesh shell as he loaded but before he launched).
I honestly don’t think there was any other vehicle before and after the IT-1 which broke the game more than this thing did on release
Not even the KA-50, nor the IS-6, not even the Pak-Puma
@@Sebastian-yl7nq I started the game in 2014, when there were only Germans and Russians, only tanks and airplanes.The last level is for Germans Tiger 10.5, Panther 2, Jagtiger. Is4m for Russians, T54 1951.The game was better and balanced, the pairings were balanced. The T54 only drilled 215mm. The first tailed gun was added with the American tree M103 which upset the balances. Right now, I don't see balance in the game.
Back then, the silver lion was very easy, you didn't need to buy a premium, you were patiently opening your tank. Now I have dozens of open vehicles, even if it is a premium account, it is very difficult to make money. I can't buy anything. Pay to win. I only play with old WW.2 cars that I like, play a few games and come out. I don't want to give money very nice game, but when you think about the old times, money is the eyes.
The other ATGM carrier/tanks could never compete with it. Sheridans were too lightly armored and the shileglag wasnt powerful enough to oneshot the IT-1. The SS.11 missiles werent good enough either, so the Raketenjagpanzer was also shit againts it but it could fire behind cover so less shit compared to the Sheridan. At least what i remember from 2016
Best missile animation in the game, the fins are animated unlike most of the BMPs
Thanks to you and Oddbawz we may see an influx of those things in the battle field but to be fair this is really damn good, the fact you can fire on the move and its missile is fast makes it incredibly meta, not to mention it can take shots easily.
To not even mention how broken it can be from a hull down position
@@Sag05501 and you can't overpressure it if you catch the top of the turret with a missile like from a Rakjpz2 HOT. If you are hull down in the HOT and catch a missile or heatfs to the Optics which is sticking out above the hull. You will get over-pressured.
The same thing happened with the pt-76. Everybody in the world was out there with one after oddbaws video
RakjPz(HOT) cannot fire while move because its wire guided like TOW and every wire guide missile you have to stop to fire cause the missile wasnt designed to shot while move. On the other hand the IT-1 3m7 was designed to be shot while move and radio guided
It used to be able to fire while on the move but they removed it. What makes it even worse is when they did remove it they made no notes in the patch notes whatsoever. When I asked about why it was not in the patch notes and they said it wasn't a big change item. I still don't get why the IT1 is the same BR as the HOT.
@@PatrickLipsinic HOT has more pen, much faster missiles which are easier to hit with, and harder to shoot down, faster reload, thermals, much faster, can hulldown as well, and has more ammo available.
@@IkeanCrusader1013 The reload is the same, 10sec. The only time that I know of that makes the reload faster on the HOT is if you are on a cap. The reload is 6 sec. It does not have thermals, only has night vision. Yes it has more missiles at 20, compared to 15 for the IT1 but the IT1 has a turret, stab and can fire on the move. The hot has 15° to the left and to the right of horizontal guidance. So you have to aim the hull in the general direction. The IT1 has more elevation and depression, -9/+17 where as the HOT is -5/+10. Penetration, yes it's lower on the IT1 but most everything at that BR, you are going to pen all the way up to 9.3. On thing you are going to have difficulty with is the PUMA.
@@PatrickLipsinic Ah ok, so they did nerf the HOT reload, but aaand nevermind they took the therms oof, and while it doesn't have a turret it has insane mobility for a missile carrier, and the ability to hit a target before it can get back to cover, and not be so easy to shoot down is a huge advantage on top of the pen. Also at the ranges you should be engaging targets the depression and elevation don't matter because it only effects the launcher, not the sight/guidance device. Also the 3M7 is still countered by IR countermeasures when it's not supposed to be, cause it's radio guided. The HOT has a different playstyle but is on par if not better than the IT-1 given the role. That's why it's the same BR
@@IkeanCrusader1013 IIRC the HOT never had thermals. I still get my missiles shot down just as often in the HOT as the IT1. Especially by Russian and US tanks. The HOT is also countered by IRC.
Gaijin you need to implement this! That is perfect! Imagine if that was the new ui. And you drove to your hanger to select new tanks. Or manually of course you could still do that too. But that would be insane

I’ve been on the receiving end of this plenty of times. The missiles barely make any sound so you gotta listen for the launch. The missile has a small flare too so it’s barely visible coming straight on

thing is a beast, particularly in battle mode and hilly maps. i use this to overpressure those wma301s that are all over the place. they deserve it!
You should do the hold W challenge (low tier) where you set the cruise control to max and never change it. See how many kills you can get!

I just got this things and it slays. The Russia grind to 8.3 was insane (it was my fault I didn't go down the BMP/light tank lineup) and I now have my first missile launching son of a bitch! Awesome video Justin! Cheers!

You wouldn't think it, but this thing is great. I had someone in this thing in Kursk B point and got a nuke just by sitting in the cap and missiling people who just couldn't see them, and anyone trying to cross to A.

@@wuzzlightyear989 And fire on the move missles, with stabilizer, T-62 chassis that bounces everything and 200mm of turret armor that also bounces everything in hull down. Don't forget that the gunner view is basically the missle launcher view too, in RB and AB.
Pretty sure you are one of those who exploit all the Russian vehicles that sit at lower BRs than they should. Understandable.
