The Type 16P is from 2013 and can meet the Maus from 1945. Almost 70 years of tank development in between them and they can face eachother its absoloutely crazy.
yes same is with PT-76 its from 1950s end its in 5.3BR in game ( but etlest hi has HEATFS (end china variant is 5.0BR))
it is criminally under tiered, should be around 9.7 to 10.3
it's literally the reason they removed Maus
@@thekangster0_032 9.7 is too high, 9.3 for the TT one and 9.0 for the FPS.
It's why wot is more balanced, despite all the fake tanks and premium rounds, the hit points allow you to "tank" more mistakes, take more chances.
Not to mention the game decided to stuck to ww2- early cold war without sabots and missiles with fake or paper tanks.
War thunder should add a rank system based on eras, make it 2-3 years for tiers 1&2 and make it 10 years for everything else, (1945 to 1955 tank designs for example)(a bt-5 is just 5 years apart from a panther, but a is-3 from 1945 can still fight a 1955 tank)

It gets worse than what you were facing...I was playing with my budy at 7.7 (we haven't played down here in years since we hit top tier)
And we realised how much of a cesspool these lower tiers have become with the introduction with these fast mobile light wheelie boi tanks. Centaro, PTL, Type 16 etc.
These are all roughly 8.7 and will always usually get down tiered just due to the saturated player base at 8.7 from premiums compared to 7.7.
Which means....we were sitting in early cold war tanks (t54, df105) fighting light tanks that can hit 80kmh, with thermals, two plane stabiliser and laser range finger...
I really wish they'd give the T-62 some love, if they updated it to the 1972 model it would gain a stronger turret and a roof mounted DShk, and maybe buff its reload a little
they would probably make it a new tank and not change the current one

@@MaplePanda04 the M-1 is a 1980's upgrade package, I'm just suggesting updating the model to an early 70's upgrade that redesigned the turret and added an AA machine gun
that would be quite logical, since the version of t55a we have in game is either 1970 or 1972 production model. Getting tank literally older then the curent one isnt as logical
With the ATGM nerf, I've had some issues where I've been on level ground and the ATGM will launch, and then hit the ground. So I probably have to get used to launching it slightly up. But still, the tracking on them is a little rough too.

You forgot to mention that this thing has stalinium. In my 2 years of playing the t114, this tank is the only one to have made my heat round ricochet off its upper front plate lol.
Heya, Justin! Cool video! Before Object 435 was Object 432 (which was an actuall predassesor to the T-64,on which basis T-64 was actually build of and Object 430 which was predassessor to the T-62 as far as I remember. Both with 100-mm guns)
the type16 is just way too low of a BR, better than the rad and arguably as good if not better than the stryker at a lower br

@@hubris6567between 8.0 and 10.3 US doesn't get a single competitive lineup(excluding premiums). Closest thing is 9.3 with 4 non meta garbage MBTs no light tank and powercrept AA.

I know this isn't the video for it but since these economy changes the grind has felt much better. I played for a few hours yesterday and started with 100k SL and ended on 640K (I did have a 10% booster for 20 games) before buying the ZSU 37-2 which cost ~100K RP at that point.
Finally someone played the 435, I love the thing and I am pretty sure this is the first video about it.
Something a lot of people get wrong is that this isn’t quite a T-64 prototype, nor is it a T-62 prototype as the Dev blog suggests. It was a test bed for the gun that would eventually be mounted on the T-62. The suspension system appears to be an early version of what would eventually be put on the T-64

It's been six months, but I'm gonna answer this.
It's not quite as you say.
The 435 was a significant improvement of the characteristics of the Object 430, which was an early prototype of the T-64.
Object 432 (T-64) was already developed on the basis of 435.

Got this thing and played it a bit. Someone asked if it was good I said it was pretty good so far and basically a T62 improved with a different armor layout. Solid tank tbh
I still don't understand how people say Russians are OP at top tier, but Germany and Sweden with their BS light vehicles and tanks that combine mobility and armor aren't.
Ka-50 without thermals is somehow OP, Tiger heli with self guiding missiles aren't.

Its because of the amount of tanks russia has at top tier along with thier absolutely broken damage models, also they have the best spaa in the entire game and the ka50 is a premium that anyone can get immediately and its ability to spam missiles is cancerous as fuck, and its survivability is pretty bullshit to
@@sharkk127 That's the thing, I'm US main who has Ka-50 and at the top tier BRs there are just better helis with thermals. Without thermals you can't find targets half the time because of bad visibility (fog, clouds, darkness). Ka-50 can fly without tail irl, but in the game the moment you lose you the tail it's automatic J-out. Missiles spam isn't a thing, because helis with Hellfires have more missiles and can launch any amount at any time at greater angles. Now after the Vikhr nerf they Ka-50s can only launch a few at a time and then have to wait until they land before launching next ones, and the angle of launch is very small.
As for tanks: T-72s can't drive back, like 4kmh reverse speed vs 36khp on Abrams. Add to it terrible thermals or complete lack of them (T-80UM2). Gun handling is terrible, the gun traverse/elevation is sluggish which makes snap-shooting upclose very hard. Armor is good, sure, better than on Abrams, but not better than Leo2s. Also Leo2s have better mobility, better guns, better thermals than T-80s as well. There are more Leo2s in the German tech tree than 11.0+ tanks in the USSR tree. Same for US with their endless Abrams spam.
Sometimes you hit Russian tanks' shells and they don't explode, but that's literally a problem on all tanks, and has to do with the fact that people take less shells into battle but the shell-cam shows all shells. So when it shows a shell going black but not exploding, there's actually no shell there at all. So it's a game bug, not a tank being OP or something.
@@harryshuman9637 Those missiles are unreliable af --- same with the spikes/Qn506 missile. You need a full view of their tank to even shoot the missile. The PARS missile can be defeated by going near a dead burning tank which it will go to 90% of the time. Also even a simple bush will stop the lock on the missile. The ka50/52/28 variants have proxy missiles and easier to use missiles were you can aim. It makes them automatically better than the FnF unreliable mess that is those missiles.
@@harryshuman9637 I will say the hellfires are pretty good now even after the missile changes, but I'd still take a Vikhr any day for its versatility. Btw the whole BR system doesn't matter as T-80U/Uk and T-72B3 can be considered 11.7 vehicles with how they perform. Also Sweden has way better Leopard 2s than the Germans considering they have an armored hull and a Leo 2a6 themselves.
I agree on the whole explosion thing as it has a chance to blow up depending on HP damage and its made more apparent that ALL FUEL TANKS without a plate behind it will mitigate spalling a lot. Even shooting some Arietes have a chance to cause a "blow out panel" explosion or just blacking out ammo which makes absolutely 0 sense. Same thing with fuel tanks being eaten on tanks like the sides Leopards, Leclercs front and many other vehicles with fuel tanks.
Once it happen to me the very same shot of the highlight, currently is my longest kill on move (2500m with my Merky Mk2D, against a poor Leopard 2).
I can't wait to grind out the bigger T-62, i enjoyed a lot both T-62 and T-62M even before the round's models change, they were fine for 8.3-8.7, so i might think the same for this one😄
Yea, Type 16 FPS has a weird BR. Its better than the M1128 Wolfpack in every way, yet is 1 whole BR lower?
Doesn't the M1128 have manless turret? That's far better and I'd take that over the typ16

@@rxzxqx6982 doesn't the type 16fps have 100kmh max speed? Both rooikats have 120, so they are faster . I have both rooikats and outspeed every other tank on road
@@petrkdn8224 speed will be everything if your enemies is early coldwar era tanks that some of them not have laser rangefinder, let alone high quality thermal, they can't see from where they get shot

7.3-7.7 is just in a horrible spot right now. These 8.3s used to get sucked into the 9.0 premium spam but that time has passed.
I play a lot of 7.3 germany i dont get mutch full uptiers to 8.3, but when i do i just use the wiesel and be a absolut rat
lmao. im at 7.7 france having a nice time, only because it seems like most of the russia/china players at 8.3 are awful players. it's a 50/50 whether you'll stomp or they'll stomp, with hardly any inbetween...

The only con in my opinion is the reload on this tank, otherwise it's simply amazing, love its resemblance to the T-64A!
"Found" your channel as was looking why the MBT-70 was nerfed and then i saw this video. i got the T-10M a while ago and love it so much i got a Talisman on it within a few days of buying it. :D Looks like this might be another one to get but need to get better AA for my 8.3 lineup as the ZSU-57 is fun but when facing jets it's not very fun. also. not sure if you notice but any as to why the US/Japan Campaign packs are being removed? I bought the US Campaign pack years ago but gaijin reset it once they replaced the old P-38 that came with it in the new one. makes me sad to see it go and made up my mind to now buy them both.

@@sharkk127 T-10M is my 1st 8.3 for Russia and i wasn't sure if it would do well. but after a few games in it and that wonderful APHE round it gets. It's disgusting. and i love it.

yeah light tanks have always been enjoying traveling back in time, and heavy tanks have always been going forward in time. even the bmp 2 is 80s, and its at the same tier as the t10m from 1957, or the mig 15 from 1948.
ive always been a fan of the balance by year idea, and i mean even if you took an example like making the btr 80 fight the t80u, it can still pen sides at that br. (obviously i dont think downtiered pure gun ifvs need to be completely brought to their year, after all the r3 t20 isnt gonna do great at 10.0, but still)
though youd need to give it the same balancing factor used in real life, and make them incredibly cheap compared to tanks.

I really like this vehicle it’s good fun to play, the only issues I’ve seen driving it, is it’s super unresponsive at low speed, turning and such is meh, sluggish af buts it’s okay, and slow reload, otherwise this thing is great!
Justin, the T-55AM-1's composite doesn't do too much to save it... and the HEAT is ignored because almost everyone who uses it play with the missile rather than the APCBC and APFSDS
The APFSDS is very potent, but the missile suffers from classic HEAT and ATGM problems, too slow, hard to control, poor post pen damage.
That said 3BM25 is very strong
So in conclusion it's a T-62 that you won't have to research the T55AMD-1 for first

imo 8.3 Britain is pretty comparable to 8.3 Russia but, 9.0 Britain is just built different.
According to Russian wiki, 435 has a 5TD opposed-piston 2-stroke engine producing 600hp, not a regular v12 producing 580hp.
Isnt that the same engine from the t64 or is that the 6TD?

I bring this thing to 10.0 with my turmst and it still makes them burn. Of course I am a 1 shot so holding flanks is important but most people playing around 10,0 are newbs in premium vehicles soo it's not hard to do well in at 10.0

Only shitty thing about USSR at 8.3 is the lack of CAS options. Literally not a single viable CAS option at that tier.
Works for me, I never use CAS anyway, as if using 8.3 Russia in the first place wasn’t scummy enough 😂

historical balancing is just BS. it does not matter from when the tank is from, if it has the same capabilities as a tank from 60 years eariler, it is balanced.
just saying, the french H-39 was used by Israel, so with historical balancing, it should see cold war tanks, while it is useless against interwar period tanks
Yeah, historical is BS. If it were to be implemented, the M60 AOS could face T-80B and the Americans couldn't have any other better tank to face it. And Germans would have had Leopard A1A1 at best. Good luck with punching through T-80B lol
when I used the 435 I thought it was good but I felt it didn't really excel at anything it's gun is solid 3bm4 is really good but at I think past 1300 or 1500m if you're fighting a heavy tank you just aren't doing anything (at least in my experience) the rangefinder is great but when you fight wheeled vehicles with better apfsds thermals and laser rangefinders it don't really matter the best thing about it is probably the super low profile you can work with the turret armor if hull down it's not terrible but the hull is wonky I think it's fine at 8.3 if it's a choice between uptiering the 435 or the T-55AM-1 I'd choose the 55 any day of the year

8.3-8.7 is the worst tier in soviet tt imo, due to premiums, also wheeled vehicles and light vehicles of Germany like tams, radkampfwagens, class 3ps, then rooikats more or less, centauros, overpowered type 16. There is no point to say that the soviet 8.3 is better makes no sense, personally as a German light tank player in that tier, soviets are a joke.

Edit: coincidentally, I also watched a new movie about 1968 (Man who stood on the way) , released May , which is a month ago. It was about the events of 1968 and the Soviet+soviet allies invasion of Czechoslovakia. It portrayed the events well, and shown the horror of soviets (torture, killing civilians and censorship) yet I have no problem with this in game. Because it's history. It must be preserved
