    if you go in order, you will basically be taken on a story through his life. You can see the progression of his peak depression turn to become a little more upbeat and happy. It gives NF more of a personal connection if you go through it in order

    • @w1llp3n24
      @w1llp3n24 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with this post, his music to really get the best view as a listener is to start from track 1 of his first major record, and then go through one by one. There is a huge story over all of them and he has said before that that is how he writes his music. Definitely the best story teller using music as the story and the visuals from the music videos to further the story.

    • @roysekrispies229
      @roysekrispies229 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I recommend going thru his music in order, You dont necessarily have to go thru his music in order. I agree with this post, it gives you a sense of what he was going through, but you should at least go thru the Intros in order. Each one links to the next. Do Intro I, then Intro II, then listen to this one again, then do Outtro. Plus, many of his songs reference past songs. Outtro links many of his songs and videos together. So to know what he is talking about youd have to have heard his prior stuff. Also if you watch his music videos, they are like movies of his life and they also link together. He is a fantastic artist.

    You voted and I listened. The majority wanted me to go ahead and share this now, even though I have several other NF videos to react to, that precede this one. They are coming. I promise.
    I'm taking the journey. May just do an Intro III follow up video, once I'm done with them all. We shall see. Interestingly enough a lot of this still made sense over the course of the song and I'll be sharing more thoughts as I take the journey. Stay tuned. Stay real!

      You NAILED it!!! It was FEAR. A lot of people (me included) don't get that he is burying his fear at first. He and his fear were battling basically and he buried it. He hints to this happening in another song. The last part of Mansion is when he says "Is that me or the fear talking? I don't know anymore" and then 'FEAR' basically makes fun of him for asking that... this is 2 albums later. This is why the NF journey is best to do album by album. It is like reading his autobiography, each song is a different chapter and several are linked, even 3 or 4 albums apart.
      "How Could You Leave Us?" is the hardest song EVER to get through and you have to do the actual video... I've seen it several times and cry every time. Grown men (reactors) have broken down while doing it also.
      I am sending you a virtual hug Rosalie!!

    It's always great finding a new person hearing NF tracks for the first time. I've said it other times on pages, but we can never hear the songs again for the first time, so reactions kind of bring that initial perspective back. Also, I really like that you only reflect minimally during the song, and then come through more in depth, covering beginning to end following the listen.

    This is the best reaction to Intro 3. When it fully hits you at 7:24 what's happening in this song is the most relatable thing. This battle with "fear" or the voices in your head is what many of us go through 24/7. Glad to see this song hits this hard for more people than just me. The "NF Journey" was mostly started for people to watch the video of "Outro" and completely understand it's appeal, as you can't truly appreciate "Outro" without watching several other videos first. It has expanded since then, but just understand that the journey doesn't HAVE to be completely in order, and I think there's several songs on the journey that are not even completely necessary, but it's alright. Just understand that if a song isn't on the journey, that doesn't mean it's bad. Some of my favorite NF songs are not on the journey. Just because a song is on the journey, that doesn't mean it's his best work. There's several songs on the journey that are not that great compared to other songs that are not on the journey. Don't think the journey is the be-all, end-all of NF. The journey just helps you understand a lot of the visuals in his music videos, it's not a list of his best songs.

    I think one of the biggest meaning behind this song for me is that I battle with my trauma every single day, and wish I could just heal but what if I did heal, then would I really still be me? I also love the way he raps, but also the music videos and production of them are like short movies which he even mentions in later songs. I love high contrast art styles which I'd say NF falls into with the sound going from quieter to louder or whisper to more passionate.
    I never thought I'd really get a tattoo based off a music artist but I did one for myself of a cart hanging from balloons which is more heavily symbolism from The Search as it was my song that got me through a couple really really hard nights. His music I think hits everyone no matter what you're relating it to although it can be very triggering.

    Love the reactions, glad to see you on the NF train. I agree with the other commenters, you need to go through his story in order, not only do his songs connect alot of the time but so do alot of his music videos. Keep up the good work, youre pretty spot on with alot of your inferences you get from the lyrics.

    The instrumentation, the emotion in his voice, the lyrics, the honesty, and the connectedness of his lyrics is truly unmatched by any artist I've ever known besides 5. I've seen all this stuff in different artists but rarely all this stuff in one person. I'm so annoyed at myself for never checking him out sooner, but I'm glad I found your channel so at least I'm having the oppertunity too. When I heard Mansion, I thought the thing you called fear wasn't just fear, maybe Fear is also the person who abused him... or the ghost/memory of that person. Its generational trauma that you mentioned. A song that kind of addresses generational family trauma is Family Line by Conan Gray. Another artist I think you would love is Evanescence. Well said... the thing about people being effected differently because good music is subjectiv. Same thing with beauty, same thing with good anything whether it's speech, color, clothing, looks, etc. Anything that involves comparison is subjective. For anyone who takes the time to read this comment, I want to let you know that just because you or other people around you think you're ugly... there will be someone who thinks that you are the most gorgious/beautiful/handsome person to ever exist. How do I know this"... none of my family members can agrree on who is the best looking. Also, Me and my siblings don't understand why so much people think these extremely successful artists are hot. So take that as you will.
    I think I'll go dig into Nf distography on my own then come back and watch your reaction. Patiently antisipating the next and take your time with the videos. You need to take care of yourself first enorder to make these videos the best they can be by you enjoying what you do... with minimal stress, and as authentic as possible.

    Another great reaction. Your reactions are real and that is what Nate is all about. It is good to see someone that fully understands and appreciates the music that he makes. His music is a lot more than music you earned a new subscriber. Glad you are on the NF journey

    Loving your journey, and as far as people sending you songs to react to from Nate, you won't find one that isn't deep/real on some level. He really has zero bad tracks. Dude's a genius on his way to Mt. Rushmore of rappers. #nfrealmusic Glad you're going to go in order, because it is important to keep track of his path.

    Another great one I like NF the way he just lets you in and see the good the bad and everything in between he doesnt hold back anything then he has actual talent in what he does so his work is really cool to get into even if you arent usually into the style if you really listen it will make sense as always your doing great dont stop now lol.I knew you were going to feel this he has a way of making people see what goes on in his mind and the pure depression and fear of whats next it can be a scarey thing to see as well. what is the old say there but for the grace of God go I .

    Great reactions!! So glad to hear you're taking the Journey. Buckle up and experience what unfolds in the form of a lyricist and musician. It's amazing. As a major of psychology in criminal justice, this artist is extremely talented and utilizing his platform to speak about mental health, daily life, therapy, internal thoughts, etc. to millions of viewers and listeners we've all had. Long story short, you'll appreciate the roller coaster of the NF Journey from an artistic point o f view as well as a woman of psychology.
    All of his music is "real", intense, and connects with people.

    Rosalie, your empathy is inspiring and beautiful. The way you’re able to navigate these complex emotions in the song empathetically AND still maintain your own mind and thoughts to break it down, analyze, and appreciate the emotion and the craft of it all-that’s a gift.
    You seem like the kinda person with a tight circle who loves deeply each person in that circle in profoundly unique ways. I believe that’s your gift of empathy. Love your reactions and I’m always here for the next one. I’m just glad to see it seems you take mental breaks. That and your family are what’s important. We can wait :)

    Good morning, I am a new subscriber to your channel and I must say I'm drawn in by your psychological breakdown of his videos. This song backs up everything true about this statement I've lived by for years. Fear sometimes makes us take a step back when we should've taken a step forward.

    Really great reaction. You have amazing insights. If you want to maximize your NF Journey then it's helpful to watch the videos in order. He weaves a narritive using symbolism that builds on itself and often references things from other songs/videos. It tells a more complete story. Knowing the story behind some of the songs helps as well

    Love your reactions, pure awesomeness. So authentic and real, which is a very rare trait to have now days, thank you for that. Let Me Go is a good song in my opinion, I think it's like how he perceives himself and things he wants to change. Well, that's how I interpret the song and I could be totally wrong. Respect and Love from Townsend Tennessee.

    Great job! No one reacts to his song "Trauma". It is beautifully painful and shows his singing wonderfully. I went through the journey and it just popped up one day on my pandora...it hit me hard but encompassed the process of ptsd so perfectly.
    Oh and he is diagnosed OCD so the hat thing might actually be a compulsion, never thought of that, great insight 👍
