I have a strong feeling NF has always had a song brewing for his mom’s boyfriend (Johnny) , and he’s intentionally waiting until he’s at the peak of his career to release it , to maximize the exposure Johnny will get.
Little late here but I've heard this 100 times but I just realized the whole song Fear repeatedly mentions Nate trying to cut him out, acting like hes not apart of it or not acknowledging him. It's big to me because nf is big on being authentic and not wearing a mask yet he's subliminally telling us here that he still puts on a front and acts like he's not afraid and has issues acknowledging his fear. Real talk!
Johnny is his moms boyfriend. If you remember from mansion, he used to take him to the basement and beat him until he screamed and he cried, which is where anger originated and where it lives.
Fire explanation
.. Are you scared of me? "(synonymous with fear) in the song noticed a dialogue between the two, which later becomes a" fight "and nate takes control. The shovel he talks about is exactly the one that appears in intro2 .When he says "we go back to where you lower created" he talks about the part of mansion: "you used to put me in the corner, so you could see the fear in my eyes then took me downstairs and beat me..." and then he talks about jonny which is not yet confirmed by nf, but we interpreted as being his stepfather who beat him, because he says he wrote a song without "fear" because it was fear that was born through the actions of the stepfather. In other words, he no longer needs fear to make the music because he is no longer afraid of his stepfather, what's left is "the anger" he needs to make that song, but he says "he still live in the basement" referring not only to the anger but the music he made for his stepfather because in mansion he says this: "Congratulations, you'll always have a room in my mind
But I'm a keep the door shut and lock the lyrics inside" referring to the stepfather responsible for this memory but he says he will keep this room closed with the lyrics inside, which I interpret to be the basement and the lyrics he says would be the music made for jonny the supposed name of the stepfather. And that's my interpretation.
Nf's music is just science of real emotions!!!!!
Cool to see you guys reacting to this intro nf considers this his best written song and I am not disagreeing it's so well done.

Most people don't get it the first time that he is talking to fear lol...you guys are good!!! This song is genius! I saw a interview where Nate said when he wrote this song he was on the floor shaking as he was rapping that's how emotional it was. Yes I think Johnny is his moms boyfriend that abused him...he said he wrote a song about Johnny and I'm wondering if we will ever hear it. 👌🔥
LOVE your reaction to this one! Is this man something, or WHAT? Now...I beg you...I literally BEG you...to PLEASE listen to "Nate." If you think you got insight into NF from THIS song, you'll be given even MORE information in "Nate." As ALL his music, it's mind blowing, but "Nate" is a bit more laid-back than the others. In Paid my dues, he is in the basement....with anger....to chew out the critics. He went back in the mansion to deal with them.
He tells fear gonna send you back to when you started , which fear started as a kid with "Johnny". He dont wanna bury anger yet cause he needs it for that song. He just buried fear

Johnny was his mom's boyfriend. He is referenced in his song Nate "Remember back when Mom picked us up from Grandma's house?
And she hid her boyfriend in the trunk and drove a couple miles?

I realize this may sound offensive/controversial, but I would think Mrs. King (and all females), being the masters of “emotions”, would be quick to understand this song. It just seems odd.

@@KingFamilyReacts it is ok. Outro is on perception, but the single came out before the album. Torwards the end of Outro, he references Intro 3.

True... they are not going in the correct order ... which most don't do ... but Outro is useless unless they have seen the other videos
