May I ask for work experiences what do you do exactly? like can you do any job even if it’s not related to your future profession? I have no idea what to do
Ideally it would be something related to what you want to do in the future as this shows how you are interested in the sector already. If not, find something that will have transferable skills such as working with young people or health&safety etc, that you can apply to what you want to do in the future
What if you apply as a private candidate and you only do the actual AS exams and not mocks? You said that predictated grades are important for university applications, so how will that affect me?
I’m doing psychology, biology , English language and then media as my fourth which I will drop the second year. Best advice you can give ? I’m pretty nervous
Hi, I’m going into y13 and I’m doing psychology and biology, I’d say for psychology get a set structure for 16 mark questions, and always know enough information to write one of those on everything that you could be asked about, as the 16markers are the largest questions. For biology I made Quizlet flashcards and used those to review the knowledge but you NEED to know how to answer the questions and the mark scheme/key terms otherwise you barely get marks if you aren’t specific. I did really well at GCSEs with waffling and being general but with all A levels you have to be specific and know what you are writing about. Good luck and I’m sure you’ll do great x
It's an Extended Project Qualification where you have to write an essay on any topic and it's between 1000 to 5000 words. You also have to do a presentation in front of a group on that topic.
If your thinking about doing, maths physic’s or engineering (of more maths based stem subjects) I wouldn’t recommend doing and epq, as the university don’t care how well you can write and essay (they already see this in your personal statement) your a levels are already very content heavy and especially maths needs a lot of time to go over in the evenings so I wouldn’t remcomend an epq (I applied for physics at uni with chem, maths and physics with no epq and still got the lowest uni offers possible) and epq doesn’t really matter that much
@@allyio3980 tbh u should be fine if u got the A in maths and ur not hoping to get in oxbridge or top unis as then GCSEs would matter a bit but if u got like really good a levels u should be fine
