Thank you so much for this, I'm going into year 12 after the summer and am really nervous for a new environment and schedule, as well as having chosen really difficult subjects for a-levels. It also doesn't help that I've started to worry about college as well, so these key reminders are really helpful to ground me and remind me of what's truly important: my sanity. I used your videos throughout GCSEs for support (fingers crossed for good results) and am glad that I've got your videos to lean on during sixth form as well!

Thanks, I really needed this especially since I’m going to year 13 and I’ve felt like I wasted my year 12. Could you share your tips on how you managed to apply for dentistry in such a short amount of time and specifically for dentistry any tips on personal statements, extra curricular activities you did, how much work experience, interview strategies/specific things you said and what made you stand out and be accepted in such a competitive field. Thank youuuu 😊

Thanks, I really needed this especially since I’m going to year 13 and I’ve felt like I wasted my year 12 😅. I think taking everything step by step is probably the best thing I can do for year 13.

The writing notes part is so damn true like during gcses i made notes for every single little detail bcz my teachers always said to WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING but i never ended up looking back at those even before exams. Not repeating the same mistake rather just mark down the important stuff from the textbook or print down pretty notes online its so much better this way

This is actually amazing, thank you so much; I’ve just started yr 12 and I have been stressing a little bit because I don’t want to make the same mistakes I did during GCSES but watching this actually gives me a clear idea about what I shouldn’t do. Thank you smmmm 💕🎀🤍 your content is always so helpful !

Great tip for maths just go over the text book, watch videos and practice, practice, practice past paper questions, as of now I don't have any proper maths notes for a level, just past papers that are done and a mind map of all the important things I must remember. I also do Chemistry luckily my teacher has a youtube channels so I can learn ahead thus I also do mindmaps for chemistry and just study. Biology is a lot of content so I take notes for that and memorize and most importantly UNDERSTAND! Also is anyone else nervous for results day (those going to year 13)?

I totally agree with all these points and honestly want to thank you so much, I'm going into year 13 and stressing over this history essay that's currently going to be 20% of my grade that I've lost all my planning for, but watching your video has reminded me to take my time and revise what I truly need to do to be successful while in my last year of A levels. Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate, this video helped me get out of my anxiousness and start thinking clearer ^^
(me about to go watch all your other six form videos O.o)

It's mainly subject choosing. I'm just a tad worried about going towards medical. I love the sound of it and the charm and above all its primarily because I have a passion for it. The thing that irritates me is that I couldn't secure an A* but just an A and since medical has alot of competition I'm worried about entering into a good uni. On the other hand I have a strong foundation laid for engineering and many co curriculars which would let me glide through engineering and ngl I have a passion for aerospace andf a bit of electrical as well. I'm just stuck between two worlds, and going for all four subjects would be a bit risky imo because writing research papers and extra curriculars all together can be a handful :(
      Any advice???

Honestly thank you so much, this video is super helpful, although even hearing about sixth form makes me panic. Really worried about moving on, at the moment it feels like I’m being flung into the arctic all alone, since I’m going to a good school, better than my secondary, which is the worst in the area. I think it’s best to work hard and take it slow, as you said, and not beat myself up with small things that are inconsequential. This video reassured me, thank you:)

I wish i could give this video multiple likes! I especially love the section about not letting yourself be influenced by others and doing things at your own pace. Im currently at the start of year 11 and struggle with motivation and revising although im predicted 7-9s, and other people with the same predicted grades always seem so much more organised than me which stresses me out. So I really appreciate the reminder that everyones doing their own thing, and i definitely will keep this in mind next year at college, thanks :)

how would u recommend dealing with a terrible teacher, like Im now yr 12 and my biology teacher is actually THE WORST hes your typical 'textbook teacher' he really doesnt teach anything but rather hands us a textbook and questions expecting us to teach ourselves

  • @felixscheesestick5315
    @felixscheesestick5315 ปีที่แล้ว +5

honestly I'm going to make flashcards in my lessons instead of notes that way once I get home I can start using them immediately.
notes haven't helped me either, I plan on only writing the tips teachers give us (stuff you can't get from the textbook)

Depends, I crammed for every single biology test in year 12 including my end of year and got A/A*s in all of them but I know plenty of people who did the same and didnt get anywhere near those grades, its mostly down to the person and what you actually do when “cramming” (exam questions, reviewing content, etc)

    • @JadenYee

I still used CGP textbooks in all my subjects and found that it did have sufficient detail to atleast get a good understanding of each topic. Then I would look at the textbooks your school provides which are probably going to be the same ones the exam board recommends!
But remember to complement this learning with lots of practice!
