@@xDasMottex Even if he did (which he doesn't), the emotion suppression effect forced on him by his Undead trait would negate any attempt to use it. Plus he feels very bad about the change he made in Albedo's character code before the transition, which would interfere with any relationship with her. And her resorting enforced love of Ainz would ensure that any potential competitors would suffer for their temerity. A lot. Ainz is going to be her first, and she his!

Yo K so the reason why the ENdings are all still images is that it uses the same art style as the light novel art by Sobin and its a homage to the novel fans and it fits too well for the ED songs i love it. Glad ya liked the OPs and EDs.

I really recomend reacting to Overlord. It's really interesting and different compared to other anime. And the mc is a bit evil while his follower are all evil So yeah we folow the bad guy.

“A bit evil” is an understatement imo. Sure, his underlings are far more openly evil, but I’d argue the MC (Ainz) is just as evil due to his approval of such actions (regardless if he’s aware of it or not).
Honestly, I’d describe him more as pragmatic evil. He’ll commit atrocities, but only if it serves to benefit him in some way or to achieve some future goal.
@@user-cc9kx8tw6t yeah truth but while the rest are bad cause they like it or are born that way (exept a few. like sebas who is good but will obey any order no matter how evil) He is more a case of a good guy put in a situation were he forced to do bad things (he was just an ordinary man but is body and mind become that of an undead overlord so i don't really fault him)
Overlord is an awesome anime with huge lore and world building. Its a must watch. Also 1st 2 episodes of overlord are conjoined. better react to them together to better understand the premise.

Overlord is great - especially if you like a series where the protagonist is the villain of the series.

Overlord is my favorite series I’ve read all volumes of the light novels at least 6 or 7 times. I think it’s genius with its parodies and subversions of normal cliches that fit into the serious world.
The (spoiler free) premise is an ordinary man from a dystopian world gets transported as his game character into a new world with his base and his various inhuman npcs, which gain sentience. He fakes being an evil grand dictator because he has people relying on him, but he grows into the character he pretends to be.
There's another song related to this series that is amazing, but it has ultra spoilers so I suggest you wait until you get to it organically. It's in the final episode of the fourth season, and is basically a Disney Princes music and dance number. Except... well, again, I don't want to spoil it. You absolutely do want to check out this anime.
As far as a selling point? How's this for an elevator pitch: Skele-bro is the protagonist. He doesn't have a plan, but every word he says is something his crew takes out of context and assumes it is some deep and insightful bit of deep lore that will reveal the inner workings of reality. He accidentally lucks into things, which his crew assume was the result of his intricate five-dimensional chess planning. If you enjoyed Eminence In Shadow, you'll like this, the protags have very similar energy.

As for a selling point that you asked for: it's one hell of a power trip. By the time the fights are ending, it feels completely one-sided. A single word that I could describe this anime with is "Domination" and it's quite fitting, what with the title being "Overlord" and all that
It's definitely a pretty good anime. The fanservice exists, as you'd expect in an anime these days, but it's genuinely entertaining most of the time. Especially the intriguing story lines in the later seasons.
PS: if my knowledge is correct and i haven't been misinformed by the internet, those illustrations in the EDs were drawn by the author of the Light Novels Overlord was based off of (or, at least, the artist is the same, idk if it's actually drawn by the author of the story)
As if simply the appearance of that white lizard wasn't enough for scalies, there's actually a scene (in the anime, not just in the novel) of her being mated. Like, with actual movement and everything, and while nothing explicit is shown, it's not something that's played off or in any way obscure or vague. You see it happening, you know what's happening, characters watching (by accident through remote viewing magic) know what's happening, they comment on what's happening, it even prompts the main Skele-bro to consider finding someone to teach the elf children about the birds and the bees because they were among those who saw. It's a pretty long scene, too.
One note about the art since you mentioned it, all of the artwork from the endings are original art that were released with the novels. And I agree they are all so good.
At 6.30, the song you're mentionning is "Philistine" from No More Heroes 2. It's the theme of Margaret Moonlight.
And yes the way the voice is changed/distorded is similar to that ending.
DON'T GIVE THE 60FPS VERSIONS VIEWS! Not only are they not the originals, but changing the FPS of animations ruins them. There's a reason why certain animations are made at certain framerates (there's also a reason why live-action movies are filmed at certain framerates).
And, yes, you should watch Overlord. It's an amazing show.

I only own figurines of Overlord characters. Also, I have the entire collection of Overlord light novels although its double the price in my country.
I think that's enough to tell you whether you should watch Overlord or not. XD

It's an anime worth watching in my opinion, heard the light novel is great and plan to read it.
Oh yes, definitely read the light novels. There is a good amount of needed information that the anime glosses over or skips completely. Overlord is the only anime to get me to buy the light novels, because I wanted to read what was going to happen after season 3 ended before season 4 was going to be released. I did not like that they delayed the holy kingdom arc for a movie that we are still waiting for. But you'll get more information about the effects of spells, characters, and events that happened that the anime just barely mentions in passing, because it doesn't affect the overall story too much.

This is everything *for now*. There is still more of the novels not yet adapted. I believe it's a movie coming soon, which will take place in early season 4 chronologically. The novels are still ongoing as well, last I looked.

Overlord dont follow the normal Opening Banger and Ending Calm routine like other animes.

Yeah the animated part of the series isn't even close to being finished though and probably never will be in our lifetime given it's inconsistent schedule and budget so keep that in mind lmao.

I do recommend the light novels (although they are not the best written LN I have encountered (although "traduttore, traditore" as they say). The anime is pretty faithful to the books (and the character designs of So-Bin therein), but doesn't emphasise a lot of the subtext/context very well. Especially the fact that Suzuki Satoru is pretty much out of his depth when dealing with other people, especially the newly sentient inhabitants of Nazarick (who are *much* more true to their alignment designations than they really were in the original VRMMO).
The light novels are my favorite piece of media of all time, I reread all the volumes multiple times a year. I think they are awesome

Overlord's pretty good. This is one of those situations where the light novels are better, except you have to read...
season 1 was good, some of the other seasons had Issues with .....cringe CGI. and lizard people sex. like they spent at least half the season on lizard tribe romance.
i don't know why they did this, why they thought i wanted to see that. but yeah sure its worth watching

What! The other seasons were amazing
Season 2 lizard arc was maybe a bit boring for the average fan but there was lot of world building there. Beside that the rest of the season and all arcs since then have been awesome. Beside it must be said overlord is not an action anime with long ass fights far in between. It's mostly a political scheme anime with slow episodes building up dominoes in order to obtain that satisfactory flush in the last couple of episodes in every season.
I would say its unfortunately generic, you have really cool characters and world but it is written most of the time like a generic fantasy/isekai show. It's meh/ok depending on how much you tolerate those
I'll have to check out a few episodes and see how I vibe with it lol
