Thanks for watching y'all! Just letting you know that I didn't watch the variant OP's because I didn't know they existed! I might do a separate video reacting to them or might leave them for the anime reactions when we get to them for context. Thanks so much for watching, and look out for that Jojo Manga video coming out over here soon! 💜🧞
How about do this again plus those variation?
Because JAM
Also would you be interested in checkin out the fanmade op of part 7 & 8 by nico bellisario?
Nah it's good that you didn't react to those tbh, they are very spoilery
when you react to the whole series. It'll make them shine more imo, plus they are kinda spoilers and make more sense in context
@@tuexiazz I don't think you've seen enough JoJo opening reactions.
No one minds if they're spoilery at this point, since they have no context and will easily forget what happens there. I've yet to see one reactor whose enjoyment was ruined by watching all JoJo OPs first; watching variants are the norm and it completes the package of reacting to JoJo OPs.
Anyone who disagrees seem to not have watched any other JoJo reactions. This is literally the most common way reactors watch JoJo.
"I know that JoJo has like, purple hair, so I'm guessing this is like his mom or something."
Mans just casually predicted the plot of season 2.
The JoJo anime and manga experiences are VERY different, coming from someone who's both read and watched all of JoJos. Despite the story being almost the same in both versions (with some minor exclusions, rearrangements or additions made by the anime), the experience is very different. Both the anime and manga versions of the story make full use of their medium. Araki's art is jawdropping and mesmerising in the manga, and David Production's animation work is fantastic in the TV anime adaptation.
Dio's Kakyoin moment was shocking, even though I've watched it in anime. The utilisation of subjective time in the manga format is something I've never seen before.
I'd say it was pretty same for Part 4
Also, anything Araki didn't like or wanted to change in the anime from the manga. He took full advantage of a second chance and hindsight to make it the best viewing experiences he could help provide.
In the final opening:
Pucci: appears
LKTV: Jesus man.
Me: Lucky guess.
😭
I've noticed a lot of the tiny lucky guesses in this video, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, since they were clearly natural, but makes me wonder if he has some soothsaying powers or something... I'm speaking nonsense, aren't I?
also "before this is jojos mom" 🤨
It's interesting that you mentioned that if Jojo has "some light gore" you might be on board. Jojo, contrary to what it looks like from the outside, actually has some pretty gnarly body horror and gore with whole stretches of parts being based around 80's and 90's horror movies, so if you decide to go through Jojo, I'd suggest the manga or the uncensored cut of the anime.
The irony of him saying that and not realizing what the first seen was.
Hey it was a lot to jump to straight away okay 🥲 and OP, thanks for your comment! Definitely keen to see what this looks and feels like!
@@LKTVLKTV the site aniwave(.)to has the uncensored versions (bluray version, which also has improved animation)
Actually, Part 3 of JJBA inspired Persona. The things everyone has from that point forward are punchy ghosts called Stands.
Yeah I think it started from persona 3 onwards correct me if I’m wrong and I believe the creator of persona stated jojos was a huge inspiration for him
Persona 1, 2 and the second 2 had personas as well, they just looked and functioned a little different from the later games. I have no idea whether persona or jojo part 3 came first though
Edit, literally just took 2 seconds to Google it, part 3 was before the persona series
As far as I know, personas and stands came about independently from each other
@@shumanbeansThis is false. It even takes imagery like Keicho’s death from part 4.
Part 1 can be a bit slow for a lot of people, but looking back on it after watching the whole show makes you appreciate it
I mean, I hear a lot of people say that, but considering its length, I don't really see a problem with the pacing. Besides, watching reactors go from "I don't know why people were saying that stuff in the comments, this is a bit weird, but fun" in Part 1, to "WTF am I watching?!" in Part 2 is always priceless XD
Because of that, i almost dropped the anime after 4 episodes. If an ex boyfriend didnt tell me that it gets "better" after seeing it all, i wouldnt be here. And, after that, everytime i recommend jojo's, i advice that even if the first season is so boring or slow, it makes sense to some things on the series (as "from which hole dio's came" or "what's the origin of the hamon").
I actually found part 1’s story extremely ADHD fast lol. (Which isn’t a bad thing btw)
I started the first part by myself and dropped it after a few episodes. Then my sister told me it really gets interesting in part 2, so we finished the first together to make it lighter, and thank god we did. But part 1 is kinda hard to get into, I always tell new people to keep it in mind before judging the whole series and give it a try.
for me part 4 was the slower one
You missed the speical openings for part 3,4,5 and 6 this video didn't show them, there's an extra opening for part three that you need to see, there's a remixed version of the part 4 opening, there are 3 versions of second part 5 opening and there's a another version of the second opening for part 6 (Eddit: Damn I didn't see pinned sry)
My intro to JOJO's was a recommendation from my brother. Fell asleep to the first episode about 10 times.(I was working mad overtime at the time, so I was always tired, and was trying to get back to watching anime after a 2 year break.) Came back to it once I figured out a time when I can watch shows when I'm not tired, and oh boy did it deliver! Been hooked on both the show and the manga since! One of my personal favorites, along with Berserk, and Mushishi. Hope you enjoy it😊
The art director for the Persona series and the author of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure are friends. Jojo "Stands" have existed for longer than Personas, but Jojo does not claim the origin of spiritual manifestations or anything.
Love seeing some JoJo representation. I've been a fan of the series for about 20 years, and it's easily my favorite piece of fiction of all time. Also, fun fact, the JoJo manga is longer than One Piece.
I still have no idea how in the world the JoJo manga is longer than One Piece, when the majority of it is animated and it’s soooo much shorter than One Piece
@@Tsuwave A mix of no filler, less time-wasting, and the fact that the two longest parts haven't been adapted yet. When you consider that, it's really not that surprising of a gap.
JoJo content on here? YES! YES! YES! really excited for this no matter which one you end up going for.
Is that a mf'ing Jojo reference?!
"If there's like mild Gore in this I'm here."
As an enjoyer of many animes I must say parts 4&5 made me go into audible gagging fits with some of the fights and death scenes (looking at you Risotto vs Doppio) to be fair they're also some of my favorite fight and death scenes so it's not just gory for the sake of gory
Basically, those "Personas" are called Stands. They're the manifestation of one's fighting spirit and they can have varied forms/shapes, as well as a varied list of powers/abilities. They were introduced in Part 3, and most likely inspired Persona, since Jojo Part 3 came way before.
The Stands themselves have a few rules:
-Only Stand users can see Stands (but there are exceptions, like Stands linked to objects)
-Only Stands can interact with other Stands (but again, there are exceptions)
-Whenever the Stand gets hurt, the user also takes the damage in most cases (unless it's an object-linked Stand or an automatic Stand)
-Stand users naturally attract each other, whether positively or otherwise
Persona was inspired in Jojo's stands
Yeah to my knowledge personas are based on JoJo's
Oh really?! That’s so sick!
@@LKTVLKTV The anime may be newer (2010s), because of the weirdness of the story and artstyle, some less than stellar attempts at previous adaptations, and how Jojo's manga handles copyrighted stuff in the story, but the manga is actually from 1987
@LKTVLKTV JoJo's manga was in 1987 and had an OVA in the early 90s and then made their anime that we know of in 2012. The Persona series started around 1996 and it's premise for summoning the Personas were based off the JoJo Stands in a similar of how they are a manifestation of the user's fighting spirit/true self.
@@LKTVLKTVYep! I believe atlus themselves or a director of one of the games said this in an interview!
SHEEEEESH NEVER THOUGHT ID SEE THE DAY BUT HERE WE ARE. LFG!!!!
LETS FORKING GOOOO MAN
Many people have a problem with starting the anime. My sister stopped watching because a dog was killed In the first episode.
As both a Bleach and Jojo fan, I'm stoked you're getting into Jojo. In fact, my main takeaway after reading Jojo was "that explains so much about Bleach and a lot of 90s manga" just like how Bleach influenced a lot of modern shounen now.
Not gonna lie, I'm also a bit disappointed you didn't see the opening variants but it's fine if you don't want to watch them.
Prob a bit late, but Persona/Shin Megami is the way it is partially because of JoJo. JoJo is really old now and was an inspiration for many stand like powers
Thanks so much for letting me know and commenting anyway even if its a bit late!
I was in the same boat as you 😂 during quarantine, I watched ten minutes of the first episode before turning it off. I then waited 2 years before getting back into it. It's one of my favorite animes now, it's amazing. I'd highly recommend it but you just have to be in the correct mindset to start.
As for the dropping jojo thing, I completely understand. I actually dropped the show for like a year because I also couldn't get past part one. It was only when my friend encouraged me to contuine that I gave it another shot and holy crap has it become one of my top 10 favourite anime. It's genuinely one of the most unique shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
It's hard to explain, but as you watch jojos, there's a part where you just "get" it. Like at some point you're like, "Oh *now* I understand why this show is so popular." That moment can be as early as part 2 or as late as part 5. For some that moment never happens and that's fine as the show isn't for everyone, but I'd encourage you to give it another shot if you wish to!
In the Manga it's literally the other way around with art style. The artstyle changed sooooo much over the years. If you just compare part 1 with the newer parts it's a complete different thing
Nice!
I think he got that impression from the 3D style of the openings. The anime reflects the manga artstyle changes quite well
Its funny that since you got the manga for part 1 and 2, you can literally get the pages where the openings for part 1 and 2 reference the manga and it is really impressive
10:35 - Persona was inspired by JoJo.
I used to be really annoyed when they didn't show the 2nd/3rd variation of an opening, but now i see it as they can now enjoy the show and manga a lot more
The art style is definitely interesting. It does shift from early parts to later parts. Early parts guys are VERY much the super muscular tough guy build (I believe the author was inspired by movie stars at the time like Clint Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone. Later parts the characters (especially the guys) have a lot more variety in shapes. Part 4 I believe is around when this transition happens where the beginning of part 4 Josuke is super buff and then slims down a bit as it continues.
The characters are jacked af in the earlier Seasons because that was suuuuuuper popular in the '80s.
The '80s was a time when every other manga was about big muscular men fighting for justice (with a lot of yelling too). Jonathan's character is an homage to Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) (where the "NANI!?" meme comes from).
It is hard to get past part 1 of jojo, but later parts are amazing. Jojo anime is peak.
Keen to check more of it out that’s for sure man!
It's not hard stop lying
@@yes.3813 For casual viewers that needs to choose shows wisely it's very easy to stop watching part 1
@@yes.3813It is for a lot of people. This isn't to discourage them to skip/rush Part 1, but to stick out till Part 2 because some people literally stop at Part 1, which is stupid but that's more of the reason why this reminder should be here.
@@yes.3813 When so much better anime exist it is. Part 1 is not bad, but in my opinion it is very mediocre, and with so many other shows it is easy to drop it. But it’s worth it, part two immediately is much more interesting.
A classic I recommend watching is Yu Yu Hakusho. It recently got a live action adaptation. And, it's a rare example where the dub is spectacular.
The popular piano op is from Giorno's (the mc of part 5) theme. Also, each parts have a different JoJo, which are descendants of the Joestar bloodline: 1: Jonathan Joestar 2: Joseph Joestar 3: Jotaro Kujo 4: Josuke Higashikata 5:Giorno Giovanna 6: Jolyne Cujoh
My top 5 favorite shounens (and the reasons I like them):
1) Undead Unluck (worldbuilding and drama)
2) JOJO (epic battles and atmosphere)
3) One Piece (world changing story)
4) Hunter X Hunter (character development)
5) Bleach (philosophy of world and characters)
And I am a manga reader.
Undead Unluck worldbuilding is insane for a planet centric world, and I love it
Nice reaction! I might show up if you're going to stream your reaction to part 3.
Persona was actually inspired by Jojo's stands
i remember giving jojo's a try a lot of years ago but dropped it bc the first episodes were so boring to me, then some years later i watched it with a friend of mine and started to like it, we stopped watching it mid part 3 and then i tried to watch the rest by myself and here we are, it became my fave anime lol. I will always recommend people to give it another try if they dropped it even if the first part might bore you, everyone starts loving it after part 2 or 3 so be patient and it will get good! Tho i have to say that after watching it a few times from part 1 i began to like part 1 as well, i used to say that it is slow and boring but it actually has a very fast pacing and a good freaking plot, but i can understand how people get overwhelmed by the fast pacing of the 9 first episodes, but they're SO good, love this masterpiece, i'll never regret giving it another try
37:33 the 80s was a big shift. Talking about a 10 year period in entertainment is a lot. While dragon ball and dragon ball z (same thing manga wise) handle designs a bit differently, the 80s, and most series from the 80s were inspired by the bodybulding craze that we have seen grow in hollywood, with charaters like Schazzenegger, Silvester Stallone and the like, and that were phased out in the 90s, when Naruto, Bleach and One Piece came out, while also considering that these 3 latter animes have very different desing phisolophies.
one thing that you might figure out as you experience the series, is that Araki is a big lover of both classic art, be it painting, sculpture and other forms of art. He was always drawn to western culture. I will leave it just at that and let you find out the rest by yourself.
I used to be the same way about jojo. I refused to watch it because so many anime’s I tried that were hyped up ended up not being to my liking. When I finally watched jojo though, I got invested. The art, stories, humor, drama, music, and everything in general is top notch, and after watching it it’s easy to see it’s impact on culture to this day. Honestly, it’s worth a watch for anyone willing to try it.
Persona was actually inspired by JoJo
Personally I think Part 1 and Part 2 are significantly worse in the manga than in the anime. Manga is way slower paced, horrendously so (Part 1: 50 chapters vs 9 episodes), and in many ways it's also like an old video game, the quality of life features we're used to are not there. A lot of 80s manga fluff. One could argue the anime was rushed, but it's more like it made it more streamline and easier to get through.
On the other hand I think Part 3 is way better in the manga, because the pacing is faster and the story is told with more finesse.
Honestly the opposite of the first two parts.
Nice to know! I’m keen to see what the manga is going be like regardless but can’t wait to come back and let you guys know what I thought!
@@LKTVLKTV Yeah, don't let this dissuade you. I still think the manga is good. And extremely unique from what you usually find around.
Jojo is a weird franchise because mega fans can hate certain parts with an extreme passion, then live and breathe another.
Yeah for sure! Definitely not dissuaded but I have been for a long time because like you perfectly say - some hate some parts with a passion but gush over others so I’ve always been so confused about which way I want to go about it if ever.
Appreciate the level headed-ness and kindness man! Looking forward to diving in 🥹
I haven’t read the manga, but part 1 definitely felt rushed as an anime. It felt like a how to tell a story speedrun.
Jojo is awesomeeee❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
I like reading the manga as well.
You can’t base what you watch or read as thinking the whole series is the same because each part is so diffrent.
One thing is that people see references to the newer parts and then watch part one and are like “what does this have to do with anything with what I saw?”
Then they don’t watch it
The song you remember is from part 5, Golden Wind, it is Giorno Giovanna's Theme the main jojo in that part and it is very iconic.
I was one of those guy who judged it by art style cuz it completly different from other anime. One day i was asking friend if he iwatch anime and he told me his favorite is Jojo so i just gave it a chance. And im glad i did cuz i rly like it 😊
bro has the EXACT reaction that I'd expect from someone who will become one of us lol
ok holy shit it goes even further, almost everything he says is accurate to an extent and he totally understands why everybody loves it just from the intros. Pretty rare in reactors bro
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 never thought I'd see the day hahaha
Jojo is goated for inspiring 80% of anime dawg 😭🙏. Persona included.
jojo inspired persona, demonslayer and streetfighter to name a few things it has inspired
My man you missed the different versions of several openings tho maybe you're better without them because they are spoilers about the part villain's power
Yeah I learned about this in retrospect and have the people who made this video for me to thank haha - I'd rather not be spoiled on it I dont think hey!
Im so bummed out i missed this live 💀
Jojo as an anime is really one of the greatest adaptations that has ever been done. It's not a perfect one to one with the Manga, though they never change anything that matters. But what they change and add takes advantage of what anime can do that Manga can't, especially with sound and music. Its also great in that each story is so unique from the previous part, its constantly refreshing itself.
I usually watch your kpop reactions I had no idea you had also made reactions for jojo, that’s my favorite anime so it makes me glad you did!!
Those variants are amazing too , I Hope u react to them Soon.
Your JoJo opening reactions are on point! 🎉 The creativity and uniqueness of each opening never cease to amaze me, and watching you experience them for the first time adds a whole new layer of excitement. The way you break down the visuals and connect them to the story is pure gold. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure truly knows how to set the tone with its openings. Can't wait for your reactions to the later parts - the craziness just keeps getting better! Like, comment, and subscribed for more epic JoJo journeys! 🌈 #JoJoOpenings #StandTunes
Why the rainbow 😭
You can also try checking out 1 second of every jojo episode (it doesnt include part 6 episodes though)
There are other videos that do
Yeah, basically the Stands are like Persona, in the fact that they're summons. But... if the stands receive damage, the user takes the same damage.
You gotta react to the alternative versions. We love when someone who doesn’t know squat reacts to those.
I miss the main thing with the Jojo openings reaction, the amazement at the alternate versions
You should react to the endings, out of context videos, and maybe the alternate openings before you have the context for why the changes happen.
he didn't want to jump into it and then buyed all the first part manga in hardcover? ok, then, danm
Only one way to find out, right? Plus the hardcovers look so sick 🥹
Persona got the idea for its powers from jojo and street fight took their art style from jojo as well
I would like you to see the opening of another version of part 3 as well.
if you look to it, there's a difference among these op. all op is in 2.5ish D(or its just CG), but the op for part 4 and 5 are just in our regular animation
I am all in for anime reactions
Jojo is the type of franchise that keeps getting better with newer parts . My fav.jojo part is stone ocean final season ( part 6 ) in terms of anime. I rec you check out Fanmade Jojo part 7 and 8 OPs , they're super popular with Millions of views.
34:22 ironic that pucci was on screen as he said that
Also " ROADROLLER DAAA!!!!!"
Personally I had the same issue my first few times I couldn’t get past the first few episodes, but I’m the opposite in the end I loved part 1 and 2 and struggled to get through 3
Okay so first off welcome to JoJo’s. I like going around and making stands for people just because I like inventing cool concepts. I could do one for you and it’s free
8:02 you feeling that 😎😎😎😎👌👌👌🫸
Yesss to the Jojo manga. As much as I respect the anime adaptation, the manga form is absolutely incredible and I prefer it to the anime. It would be fun to see your opinion as a person who hasn't watched the show
How is he so good at guessing
To watch an anime like JOJO is literally to just turn your brain off the Bizzar means just what it is it's an anime that subverts expectations one minute you'll go into it thinking wtf am I watching bro to end up being fully immersed as each part goes on
Part one again takes another victim and prevents them to reach peak fiction
That’s why we’re reading! 😊
As a big JJBA fan i think you should get into it. HOWEVER i think its time for the next Persona 5 part :) (just joking, upload it when its ready^^)
oh..missed a lot of alt openings? well, what a bummer
If you are into reading Manga, Berserk is the greatest story I have ever consumed. Warning it is edgy and dark, but it is also a lot more than that.
11:47 ok.. tell me that wasn't a coincidence
24:37 You are so right how did you know 😅
Part 1 is really just a lot of buildup for the next part/s. It can be slow, but also has some good moments. If you intend to watch the series, I'd advise you to not watch the alternate editions of the intros if you care about spoilers
JoJo starts off fairly slow, I would say Part 1 is easily the weakest part of JoJo by far and while many jojo fans would say it's still good, I personally disagree heavily. Part 2 (which starts with episode 10) is where it starts getting good imo, and Part 3 is where it finds a unique and key concept that will be prevalent and important throughout the all the rest of the parts of JoJo. I would say you should at least finish Part 3 before you give your judgement on JoJo as a whole.
Edit: if that sounds way too overwhelming or too long of an investment of time, then just get to Part 2 (which starts at episode 10), I think right from the start of Part 2, you'll get what I mean, I don't want to spoil too much by telling you why that is the case but you'll figure it out yourself once you get there.
Man i'm big fan from Saudi Arabia ❤
kinda ironic that the art makes you get into the show, most ppl get turned off by the art and completely js ignore the show

It was a conscious decision in order not to ‘spoil’ and honestly I respect it haha. Either way this was just meant for me to go a little further than toe deep and get the ball rolling and I’m grateful that this video served its purpose for me regardless haha
Did you notice that Every part have a different Main Protagonist?
29:33 nah,that still a JOJO
Although we have different Protagonist every part, they're still "JOJO"

-Part 1 : JOnathan JOestar
-Part 2 : JOseph JOestar
-Part 3 : JOtaro KuJO
-Part 4 : JOsuke Higashikata(The kanji for "suke" can also be read as "Jo")
-Part 5 : GIOrno GIOvanna("GIO" was pronunced as "JO" in Italian and Japanese)
-Part 6 : JOlyne KuJO
ah sheeeet lets goooo

Sad you missed the best parts, opening of part 3 4 5 and I think 6 have different versions, relating to where you are in the part, so later in part 4, Kira uses Bite The Dust to reverse time by an hour, so when its at that part in the anime, the op at the end has Kira pressing the button, reversing the whole song.
