I'm sorry that you got caught in the middle on this one, Warren. Honesty and integrity are hard to find these days. You've got a big heart and a conscience. Don't let that get you down. You've earned your good name and the respect of those who know you. Drive on.

Thank you! just want to say thank you for making these videos and being the guy you are. i have been working at my dads shop for the last 6 years and last year i started following your videos and it has helped me tremendously just watching you test things and take things apart, put them together and be so kind to the customers. in my opinion you run your business excellent and ive applied some of what ive observed you do to my business and we are busy'r than ever and i love my job now. i used to struggle quite a bit with thinking i was to slow or not knowing what the right way to handle customers was and thats very few and far between now so thank you! and GOD BLESS!

I have so much respect for you! I’ve been in a truck since I was I’d have to guess 2-3 years old with my dad and uncles, pap, pretty much entire family. I’m from pa and I can see the integrity you have and I can see your a hell of a great and honest mechanic. I wish you were closer to me. I have been dropping and hooking trucks and trailers for since I could reach the peddles. I have no idea how long ago. I’m only 35 years old But anyhow I had my cdl when I was still in high school. I left school and went and hauled oversized concrete slabs. I wasn’t able to leave pa because of my age but I’m just trying to give you somewhat of my background. Not that you care at all. I’m just trying to say I have been around trucks my entire life. I have 4 trucks that I have leased onto a local company hauling Pepsi pretty much all East from Connecticut to Florida. I have a 85 cabover international with a 400 big cam that I have turned up with a 13 speed that I run every day and the other 3 are all glider kits. I have 3 more kw glider kits so I don’t have to piss with all the bullshit emissions. I’m sorry for rambling. I just wanted to give you a background about myself and just say keep up the great work. There is not to many honest and knowledgeable people out there today. So God bless and keep up the great work.

    Procedure is to check
#4 and #1 mains when the rollers flack. If it has the floating roller pins those are the updated tappets. The rollers look like they just started to fail. Owner got lucky usually they spin #4 main.I would run it the tappets don’t look to bad. Also FYI you can buy a short block for the pump it’s a lot cheaper only like 1200 to 1500. Also there is a timing procedure for the high pressure fuel pump now.

my friend, this is not the first time i have heard you say that you feel sorry for the owners of trucks and tractors that you work on for the price it is going to cost. all the work you do is worth the money that it cost. lets face it, nothing you do is a easy job. you earn every penny you work for. the price of parts are out of this world, and then the dissembling and putting back together is where you earn whatever you charge. when i would have work done on my motorcycle, they charged 111.00 per hour. i am sure that truck factory work is higher than you are. i enjoy your videos, and the way you explain everything about what you are doing. keep up the great videos.

on the 559 fault code another issue is the check valves will fail in the pump head causing them to leak back into the pump under high load. the check for that is to use compressed air at the pump head inlet, then remove the springs over the plungers and see if when you push them down if they spring back up or stay down. if they spring back up the check valves are ok but if they stay down the check valve is bad and it needs a new head.

Glad I gave up trucking in 93. My 444 white western star had 900,000 on it without issue. My dates might be wrong. Thats been years ago. Was juiced up back then. Had it done twice till I found a good tuner. The first guy had fuel dripping out of the pipes. I hear horror story's about the emissions stuff anymore. Shit not holding up. And this video. It happens alot from what i hear from guys still driving. Good work Warren do it right..

Yeah, there still is right and wrong in people, funny thing is it is in all the states between the coasts. I know a lot of good people here in Dallas, more than you'd expect but not as many as there used to be so I totally understand how you feel about it!

Warren, I would say "nightmare" is an understatement. Would seem like somebody is on the hook for this and I don't mean the owner.

I share your concern with the GoPro camera. Mine does the same thing and mine also shuts off without warning while I am trying to record. I would not buy another.

Those cups and rollers remind me of the Mack eup cups. Same basic setup? Good vid! And what is supposed to be ceramic, the rollers?

your right emissions are federal, but from what I see on u tube cali drove many over the road truckers from taking loads in california.

Regs are pretty robust in the UK now and a lot of the fuel/def stuff is registered at build, sort of tattooed to the truck, any hint of tampering and the truck is grounded back to the dealer to fix and that's megabucks if they do that to you plus heavy fines and loss of points on your ministry record, hard to consider doing anything much of your own maintenance these days.

Seems like many creators on TH-cam that use GoPros are having issues with them. There is a local truck dealer here that has a dyno so the truck can be put under load and tested.
