Can you try using a UHS II SD card? They have faster read and write speeds. I want to see if it worth getting the Prograde Digital 256GB SD card if it has load speeds noticeably better than than UHS I SD cards since it has read speeds of up 250mb/s and is $105.

I can't trust most online reviews for UHS II SD cards because people buy them and use them on UHS I readers and then get upset and give a false review not knowing you need a UHS II reader in order to get speeds faster than UHS I because the cards are physically different in how they interact with a SD card reader designed for them.

    Hi there!
    I recently mounted a Sandisk Extreme Pro A2 / Class 10 / V30 / U3 into my Go...the card is rated for 200 read & 140 write.
I formatted it quickly to NTFS.
My speedtest results have been the same, somewhere around 90 read.
Unfortunately, even older titles don't load as fast your system and in general the card feels kinda slow and reminds me more of an old worn out HDD😅...
Do I need to perform a normal / full formatting cycle (no quick formatting) to NTFS (even if it takes ages)...is this causing the card to underperform so drastically?
Newest updates installed (BIOS as well). Thanks for your thoughts on this. 😊

There is no brand. Depends on the model really. Every brand has fast and slow ones.

the sdcard reader is limited to 100mb/s so find a sd card that is certified U3 A2 that reaches at least this speed in writting, the amazon basics ones are the sweet spot

As of today’s date 12-3-23, I totally upgraded my Legion Go except for the SD card. The games that I like to play runs slow on the legion go. Madden 24, Mortal Kombat 1, and Street Fighter 6 run poorly on the Legion Go. Has ANYBODY who plays these particular games had any success, or suggestions for better performance? I have it set on 8 GB VRAM. Mortal Kombat 1 looks outstanding on the consoles, but you can see some frame rate issues and choppiness during the fighting.

      Don't use the 8gb setting.

I have a 512GB Samsung Pro Plus micro SD card and the write speeds are much slower in my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ tablet than my SanDisk Extreme A2 rated micro SD.
My advice to anyone who cares about getting consistent fast write speeds is to buy a SanDisk Extreme A2 rated microSD card instead for your Legion Go device.

      I bought a 2.TB Samsung T7 2.TB SSD instead for USB-C and mounted it on backside. ~1000. MB/s Read/Write.
