My wife and I love your channel, I get mixed emotions of jealousy and inspiration when I watch you guys, I hope one day we can experience what you guys are doing in the Finnish wilderness since I have recently moved here. Yes, I've listened to the audiobook Sacred Cow. It was very good, nothing new, since I read and listen to so much regarding this topic, but it was nice to have it gathered like that in one place. We haven't had the time to see the movie yet.

@@Talasbuan Okay, I could have guessed since your in that space already, but just incase you hadn't heard of it I thought I should mention it. Yes it is a great book, because of the way the information has been gathered and packaged, So now people that are curious and or confused by all the propaganda and mis-information around those subjects can hopefully have some clarity and start supporting regenerative agriculture. So I was wondering if you know of any regenerative agriculture/ HM courses or resources in Finland?

That little guy is so sweet. I have two sons (20 and 16)...when they were little I would sometimes go in and just listen to them sleep a little. It was so sweet to me; they were just so peaceful. I am a very sentimental man. You guys have such a sweet family!

You are the sweetest Swedish family ever. We had snow here in Colorado springs CO. It is all melted and we have beautiful sunny days. Every video we can see Ivar getting so big. Your small son is so much fun to watch and we love his hand-knit clothing. Knitters in this family too.Also enjoy the sheep as my mother’s family were wool growers since the late 17th Century in US. They sent for sheep from Scotland and also had some other interesting breeds. I remember them bringing in the lambs to keep them warm by an old wood stove. Also remember men coming and the sheep shearing. I couldn’t believe how fast it went.

It is good Ivar is being shown the animals while he's being held. He will enjoy the animals because you enjoy the animals. No fear. Your dog was enjoying Ivars gentle touches. I was chased and bit by a sow with piglets when I was 10. No one told me how protective sows are with their piglets.... LOL...I just wanted to play with them. 😊

Your English is really goo, Mathias. I think you will understand the blog in English too. a very well working learning stratagy is to write the words down you don't understand. I, as a sixteen-years-old boy have learned englisch this way. and I want to learn Swedish and Finnish the same way.

Developing a plan of action is easier said than done. Most of us strive to make a comfortable life for ourselves and our families, but putting it down into actual words that make sense can be a daunting task. Take your time to develop your plan after you discuss it and think it through. Winter should allow you time to work on various aspects of that plan (which can change over time). Good luck. You can do this because of your commitment to making a better life for you, your family, and those around you.

You're the third Swedish vlogers that I follow after Jonna and Kalle.... It must be some reason why I'm attracted by this wild life... I'm not that kind of person who is usually attracted by that.. But I must admit that the Corona virus has revealed to many people on what to focus in life. Appreciate simple, real, nature and wild. I'm glad that I found you two/three. I'm living in Israel where we do have a six month summer, no snow except in the north which is a tiny area compared to Sweden. Look forward to seeing more videos. Bye bye

Thank you both for sharing once again. In the beginning of the blog Mathias you were preparing a fish- you made some shavings from wood, was the wood a specific type? Also is that method of smoking the fish or adding some flavor from the wood? I have never seen that before. The fish looked beautifully prepared....

I had to laugh watching Mathias feed the pigs when he had to put one bowl down really fast then run and put the other bowl down. I love watching this peaceful, beautiful family navigate life while living off the grid. I just happened to stumble upon their vlog and I am so glad I did. They always bring a sense of peace to me no matter how my day has been going, and I hope they continue to take us all on their journey.

May i suggest that you check out Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms. I find his method of raising animals (as a grass farmer) very interesting, and I think it is similar to what you want to do.
Just found you on Utube. What a delight. There is a meditative quality to your film and the drone shots are breathtaking.I so miss the snowy days from when I was a child in the north of England in the days long before global warming.

Hi, We have been watching your videos over the last few weeks. I am an immigrant to Canada from the U.S. and now living in lockdown in Italy.
We admire your humble and persistent efforts to make a life off grid. I was thinking, though, when my ancestors left Germany in 1848, they settled on land outside of Chicago and farmed. I lived on one of those farms with my grandfather until I was eight and have wonderful memories. One thing that I recall is that neighbours worked together as a community, building a church and a school.
I wonder if you have such a community, it seems that would be of benefit to you and your family. It seems very hard to be acting in a more solitary approach where tasks, instead, can be shared and specialization possible.

Very passionate topic, holistic context, food for thought and a good baseline for success.... in a rural setting, a working car is a part of your tools and spending money to maintain it, ensures autonomy and safety for your family.
The drone footage is fun to watch but dangerous i guess as shown with being stuck in the tree. 😬Malva ? I think, not Mysak, seems to stand guard proudly over Ivar while pretending to ignore or play nonchalant. Its cute.
Matias, not sure if your holistic course at "farmer school" is recommending a Mission Statement but there's a ton of reference to that on the web if you're looking for ideas. I've used that before in business environment.

Horses are an expensive farm animal, feed, vet bills, tack supplies. But they should have an emergency vehicle standing by, should there be a serious accident. Preparedness in all areas of life.🙂

I think it helps if you watch for around 30 seconds or so. And sometimes click on the links and say 🤔 hmm, this seems intresting (with a sarcatic tone). Just love your videos we had 6 inches of snow in Wisconsin but it melted but Oct. was so cold more like December I miss fall already The baby is growing so much ours is 3 months just starting to set up some I hope your Holistic classes goes well it is mind boggling and interesting look forward to next video

I finally made it up to date - watched all your vlogs from the first video and yeah, for me Ivar was born just a few weeks ago 😂
From the start till now - you have a big progress - so many things was done and you filming skills really improves. I remember in one blog Tova said it’s tough for her to film alone and only it’s awkward to talk to camera - I can only imagine -but both of you doing good and it shows!

Just came across your videos for the first time...so beautiful and fascinating...watched the Allan Savory TED talk, really informative. I live in southwestern USA in the desert and watch the land b being torn up and developed...there's no water here!!!!! I can't begin the comprehend what will continue to happen to all our country...and the other continents where the desertification is happening. Thank you so much, now I will go back and try to watch all your vlogs from the beginning.
Mattias -- I read tat too muc Iron in te diet [Cast Iron Cookware] Can cause Tiredness- maybe not use Irion pans so muc !! Also manesium and B-12 [almonds] can elp -- still, you do SOOO muc work you are te BEST !!!
