Fun comparison video! I personally don't use the traveler anymore but I will forever be greatful to Anemo Traveler for carrying me until Inazuma. Although I agree that DMC is stronger unit due to them being able to fit well into Dendro teams, I think that AMC is really underrated and a solid unit for early game. Electro traveler is so much fun for me its the second best element because most anemo characters are groupers lumine/aether is not very good because unlike venti its hard to group enemies great vid as always
Still a Lumine main, and still like Anemo since I don't like needing to build and use complete "teams" at once: Anemo is very good at taking advantage of elements coming from the environment and enemies. Hydro has its drawbacks for power (of course, I'm not building new artifact sets to check and it's quite possible loadouts will be a game-changer for me should they finally appear) but the skill at least is fun and I admit the burst has some exploration uses. Geo is perfectly good, I just never got into it. Electro... I can accept that Lumine and Aether just don't have much to do with it. Dendro works, but not really for me. Pyro and Cryo might be interesting, as they're supposedly Aether and Lumine's favorite Slime types respectively.
@@ChargedCoin Look in the voice lines bank in the character screen: while that expands as you start and complete quests and most people will have a lot of still-hidden entries, the dialogue between whichever Traveler you have and Paimon about Slimes is in the Monstadt "section", so you should have it unlocked. And it's one of the ones where Aether and Lumine do not have identical lines. (There are others.)
@@sergeandou9853 no you build him attack and hydro for artifacts, I’ve gotten the most damage out of that consistently as well as maintaining at least 2k per normal attack. It’s hard but he’ll make due😔

There's 1 reason for it, the whole "well if traveler is good people won't buy the banner" stops working when there's 100 characters. It honestly stopped working now. it follow the logic of "people will pick 1 character and use them regardless of anything" which isn't the case. I think the reason we have "bad travelers" is because travelers Element isn't a single element. I suspect we will have a system where you pick a skill of 1 element, and a burst of the 2nd (like in the fight with childe) so you can mix and match, which, isn't too good since most people will just use a mono element that's good, but it will still lead to a "stronger" main character.
For the Dendro Traveler it's actually better to use the Dendro sword Sapwood Blade which actually Buffs Your teamates, which fits the Traveler's supportive role Much better it also works wonders with Bennett as a sidenote.
They just need to make Traveler off-field like Electro and Dendro. And a Burst that stays in place like Dendro. If Anemo had better crowd control and the tornado stays in place it would be good, tbh with geo the burst is kinda good, burst dps with a crit rate buff just the skill is clunky. Hydro's burst should have just been a whirlpool sucking in enemies while dealing Hydro DMG
I say Animo and Dendor are better you can build teams that work well with them elements plus in some parts of the story you have to use the traveler any way might as well build them up and a team that work well with them for when you have to use them no matter witch too elements you choose.
I have played with hydro traveler ever since Fontaine released and I will say this now, out of all the traveler elements hydro is by far the worst of them all. I like traveler and im not a fan of meta but even I get frustrated by how my characters perform and seeing hydro traveler like this is fking absurd I just can't find any more enjoyment playing it. Rn I'm using electro traveler cuz I haven't used it and so far it's much more enjoyable, just need to find good teammates for him
@@ChargedCoin maybe devs got the idea by watching too many watergun ads and said fk it lets give that to hydro traveler. whats even more irritating is that neuvillette is doing the same thing but instead of water droplets its a fking moveable tidal cannon as "charged atk", unforgivable... cant wait for pyro traveler to be even more worse than hydro, so much for the protagonist of the story compared to Honkai impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail(i only play these 3 idk about the others)
Nah i would shield +froze +swirl (works 90 persent of time) 10 present the enemy can't be froze but i have backup plan (shield +apply elements+ swirl) or shield + swirl if enemy already had an element on it
I use DMC but ive been thinking about finally building all of them (mostly because I now have more resources than I need, artifacts aside of course)... just a shame you cant use 4x traveler in a team for the story... other characters always hype up traveler but its my other characters that to the heavy lifting every single time. The story feels disengenuous because she's supposed to be able to take on such incredibly strong opponents, yet for the player she's one of the weakest options. Even DMG got replaced for me really quickly. Nahida, Kirara, Yaoyao... If you could use a team of 4 travelers (in single player content. coop is cheating here ^^ ) then it could be a lot more fun to use the MC imo. Also its a pain in the neck to have to go to statues to swap elements.
I prefer dendro Traveler since I don't have Nahida, keep losing my 50 50 on her, her banner just has a bad timing for me. She gets featured when I only have 50 pulls.
I love playing with Traveler especially during quests, because I like emerging into the story. That's why I leveled her up as much as I could and tried to find a good temporarily artifact set, until I am able to farm an artifact set for each of the elements. Now, I hope to find some teams that work great with each element Traveler, so I can build those teams around her.

I use electro traveler (EMC) with Layla, Yanfei, and Xingqiu. Layla shields, XQ uses burst, EMC uses burst, and Yanfei just goes ham. I guess you can replace EMC with Fischl to achieve a similar effect, but it's a pain the ass to move Oz around, whereas EMC's burst stays with the active character.
Oh we got the fire region what the traveler can you use the fire element when we got the fire region yeah I tried to switch to the fire helmet when I got the fire reaching Tower and it won't let me game needs fixed

Personally for me best traveler elment is dendro and anemo(anemo traveler was a replacement for kazuha and helped me a lot)

Hydro Traveler at C6 can be a healer when they get the blue balls generated by their skill
