it may be too late for me but accordting to Elibe lore, "those who wield the mighty thunder axe of durban, the Armads, shall die in battle". in that sense, the weapon's curse has been enacted on hector. he died in battle, not on the shoulder of his family. he cant escape the fate he got when he wielded such awesome weapon that it even spits in the face of the weapon circle bullshit.
So, to get the best ending, you have to keep lilina alive, beat chapter 12 in 20 turns, beat chapter 14 in 25 turns with sophia alive, keep douglas alive, beat chapter 20a in 25 turns with Juno and Zelot alive/ beat chapter 20b in 25 turns with Dayan, Sue and Sin alive, Clear chapter 21 with Milady and Zeiss alive, defeat Idunn with the binding balde with fae alive and get an A support between Roy and Lilina
The characters need to be alive just to unlock the chapter. They can be axed afterwards. Even fae can die but the best ending is still unlocked as long as Roy is the one to whack Idoun.
I think I found a reason to find the ending creepy other than feeling like the game decided you're not good enough. The bad ending says, "Centuries after Roy's time, the countries of Elibe were united under a single banner... but that is another story." What if that "single banner" is the banner of the Dragons? It's a very interesting watch about Elibe. I wish Nintendo could release FE7 and FE6 as one game and depending on what characters you pair up in FE7 those characters will benefit from their parents like in Genealogy with Generations 1 and 2.
My first playthrough of FE 6 was a random recruitment randomizer playthrough. I thought the characters were based of their portraits, when it was actually their original character that determined it. Thus I trained Sue to go to Sacae, and then ended up in Illa anyway. In anger, I then let Sue die in Illa, but forgot that Sue took the place of Zealot, so I didn't get the Maltet and had to replay the game for the good ending.

Many characters from 7 had tragic ending in 6 you know, but they didn't showed it. Like, when Hector died, it possible that Oswin also dies with him bc he's always follow Hector wherever he goes. In 7's ending, Lucius opened an orphanage with Raven. And in the same chapter as the fall of Hector, it is stated by Chad that Bern soldiers has killed owner of the orphanage. It possible that Lucius dead, and also Raven bc he's protecting Lucius. Raigh and Lugh being an orphan bc their parents (Jaffar and Nino) leave them behind. Canas died in a sandstorm with his wife, leaving Hugh raised by Niime. Karla died of illness.

I love this game, it's so dumb, I love it though. The growth rates are super weird, Roy's incredibly late promotion make him harder to use than it should and the way you access Etruria's divine weapon is just absurd! I can't help but love it though. War might have still happened but without the dragon angle, Desmond made it a point that as much as he loved his daughter, she was nothing more then a tool to get back at his wife and Zephiel as he plan to CHOOSE her husband for her meaning he Bern's worse King would have forced his daughter into a loveless marriage EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS IN all the be a petty douchebag to Zephiel cause he hated his mother (the fact he kept trying to pass Zephiel off as a Bastard born from Helena cheating on him because he was ten times better then he ever was, was very pathtiec on his part, and became ironic when Zep grew up looking just like him but without the curly hair, must drive Zep insane everytime he looks in the mirror and sees the monster he use to call father looking back at him, He who fights monster's and all that with the abyss looks back part) he (Desmond) got what he deserved when at his moment of triumph Zep stabbed him in the neck litterly rising from his coffin aka Grave to do it LOL), had Zephiel died by Jaffar's hands, Jaffar's face heel turn likely would not happen meaning he would have obeyed orders and killed Nino, which means no twins, Desmond woud have gone through with his plans for his daughter (after in poor taste taunting Helena over their son's death knowing how petty he was) whatever good will with the people of Bern would likely drop since they'd always believe in hushed tones he had best prince EVER murdered out of jealousy, and seeing just how low his self esteem was to hate his own son for DARING to be ten times better then him (News flash moron, your kids are SUPPOSE TO SURPASS YOU) means who knows who'd he'd match his daughter with to be his heir since he seemed the type to respond to asskissers or people he thinks he can control since it's said he would have likely chosen someone to be like a decoy while he controlled the throne in retirement like an Old Man on a Mountain, but looking at how much of a failure he was, he'd never have gotten far as his son did if he decided to get all conquer happy or his "heir" did. Sad thing is the final assassination attempt on Zep was through poison, it was only by Murdock that Zep didn't succumb to the poison but if the poison was something like Mercury.....well that stuff does weird unrecoverable things to the mind and people who use to be good people have been known to go outright psychopatic after surviving that type of poisoning, Basically #BlameDesmond is what I'm saying and unlike blame Takumi and Garon in Fates which none of the worst things in the story (and I mean in the Story bad writing or no) was really there fault because of crazy Hydra but Desmond had no excuse for how he acted and what he did, you think his love for Gwen was genuine ...but only because she was birthed from the woman he did love and only to use as a tool in his petty fight with Helena and by consequence not his own Zephiel, Desmond was a pitiful man and a poor king and next to siding against her brother Gwen will always have the stigma of being her father's known "Favorite" among many of Bern's Nobility hanging over her even though the people and Nobility of Bern will never know their Best King hated them and planed on killing them all had Roy not slain him, Zep is still responsible for his own actions but lets never forget Desmond had a hand in it, hell he trusted NERGAL WITH THE FIRE EMBLEM HIS KINGDOM'S SACRED TRESURE AND THE KEY TO THE SWORD OF SEALS/BINDING BLADE< WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THAT MAN, had Nergal chucked the thing or whatever (because at that point he had no more use for the Black Fang as his plan was coming together) and had the Lords of 7 not retrieved the damn thing, Roy would have never gotten the Sword, much less went for the legendary weapons, so even back then Desmond almost fucked things up further, truly a pathetic king

paulman34340: That's "heel face" not "face heel" for Jaffar. Also would probably benefit readers if you broke up into paragraphs. Not every one or two sentences but if something goes on more than 4-5 lines...yeah.
Sean Yea, but it fucks up the storyline as stuff that were made for the sequel prequel are unanswered. If you do the sequel as a sequel and not a prequel, it can tie up loose ends better
I like it when it's done right. I honest liked blazing blade but they fucked it up because the previous game or the "sequel" is Japanese only. western players probably thought at the end we all got a bad ending when it really was a follow up to the previous game which was an Japan exclusive game.
Japan didn't like it either. Roy will forever be their boy. But yeah, Japan did the same thing with the Tactics Ogre game for the GBA, making it a prequel where the only "good" ending is the one where you die because your character announces that he has the same name as the series' main antagonist.
I like when characters grow in age through sequels or even during the same game (Golden Sun, for example). It makes them feel more natural and alive, instead of a simple set of data.
How bad the ending gets is very subtle. If you don't get the good ending, it just ends on "Thousands of years later, Elibe is united under one banner." If you get the true ending, it just ends with Guinevere's ascension in that part of the script setting up the cutscenes for that day. The "united under one banner" is the Idunn, Jahn, and Brunja succeeding and starting another scouring dragon war and winning with humanity under a single banner.
First off, took you long enough, huh? Second off, thank you for explaining how to get the weapons. Your videos are some of the best/most reliable sources when it comes to FE. Yes, there are more things, but they're just text. And third off, is Fa powerful? Because weak dragons aren't much use.
quite good growths plus effective damage against manakatees. the only downside to using her is the fact that you only get 50 uses on her only weapon. she is a decent stafftank and purge/bolting bait. you can use exploits to give her a firestone which makes her more useable.
Dude, I feel that you're like the best at telling stories, and setting up every filler from the begginimg, to strike up effectively in the climax. Youre a Genius man :) , keep up the good work.
A few things to say. 1. I love Idun Theme and Battle Theme and even the character. It give the sad story vibe (Theme) and it's about to end (Battle Theme). Probably one of the best OST in Fire Emblem series in my opinion. 2. I don't know if no one noticed, but Zephiel is that freaking damn prince that we had to save in FE7! You put that level in the Worst Level Ever (#12) Whois and you actually did the link here. Imagine that one your most HATED chapter in FE7 is actually responsible of why FE6 EXIST! Making it even more annoying to see you save the prince just to see more people dying... 3. I always called Idun "Indun" for whatever reasons because it seemed more logical for me.
Holy shit I don't remember hector being that messed up! I mean portrait wise because I knew he died but I didn't know they attacked his portrait as well
I didn't even notice it was 52 minutes long. It felt like long hours of in depth explanation. I love Elibe. Meanwhile, i am also an Archanea fan, i'm impressed none of those comments mention how Zephiel's phrase is the same as Medeus in FE1-3... Should we make fanfics of Medeus possessing all "main villians"?
Though I love Binding Blade, I've always found the Divine Weapons thing to be incredibly stupid. The player is punished by the game for not getting the weapons or keeping Loli Dragon alive, though it wasn't even told to you directly. It's just a cheap way to get replay value and I think it's just bad game design.
Luna is Best Waifu Clue? FE is not known for giving clues. You need to figured it out AND there was already replay value with having to play with the other routes and characters. Not to mention Trial maps to unlock. In FE7 remember there were different versions of chapters like fighting Linus or Lloyd early which no one tells you how you get one over the other. And the Kushina arc in Hectors Route, there were never clues of those Gaiden chapters. So again FE doesn't give clues :)
I beat sword of seals without finding all 3 weapons (missed one.) Am I mad I didn't get the best ending? No. Why? Because if it matters that much, I'll just play the game again because it's FUN. If you had fun replaying the game, I wouldn't stretch to call replay value cheap and call it bad game design. That's only my personal opinion.
Ha! What fond memories I have with FE 6 and 7. I remember defeating Zephiel with Roy using a critical with the sealed sword. FE 6 is my personal favorite out of all the series also!!
No, i can relate. After the credits it feels empty knowing Idunn and Brunnya are still out there. The most chilling thing were the "what happened to everyone after the game" where its just one sentence.
Thanks whoisthisgit! I'm currently playing FE7 which I have played back when I was younger. This video gives me a lot of information and tutorials about the scouring and stuff, thank you! :D
Played FE8: Sacred Stones first before I started FE7. That ending on FE7 gave me the creeps and I was wondering where the hell is the sequel since I thought that the closure can’t be like that and FE8 was an entirely different story so I thought that can’t be the sequel. I was so confused at that time. Few years later, I found out that there was another FE game on GBA that was only released in Japan and a team began to do the fan translation, which was at 60% progress I guess at that time. Keep in mind that I didn’t know the entirety of the plot of that game at that time, meaning that I didn’t have any clue that Roy was Eliwood’s son at all. While I admit that I did some quick google search about this game, I did that to actually confirm that it existed and all I saw is Roy and Lilina in the cover art and that doesn’t tell that much other than they are the MCs of this story. Fast forward months later, I got the translated stuff and the moment I started playing FE6 is the moment where I realized that FE7 was a prequel all along. Of all the things that could happen, I thought I’ll never see a continuation of Elibe’s storyline ever again but here it was, in my hands. I was so shocked and excited at that time but the wait was worth it. Like what whoisthisgit feels, after playing FE7 first, FE6 has a special place in your heart if you played in that order. Even though FE6 came out first, to me, it felt like it was the sequel I was looking for the closure that I didn’t see in FE7. From what I can recall, I guess I could say that I reached Idun in my first playthrough because I still had fragments of memories about that TRUE final stage. If you’re wondering how I did that in my first playthrough, it’s because I had a gamefaqs walkthrough to guide me at that time. Yeah, you actually don’t need that stuff to play the game but without it, you’re basically going blind throughout the whole journey. After finishing FE8, I remembered how frustrated I am on the part where you can actually recruit enemy units to your cause after a specific character “talks” to that him/her. After learning that, I felt horrible before I played it a second time. Anyways, I never played a Fire Emblem game without a guide after that knowledge. So, yeah. I seem to recall that “strolling in the desert” part in my faulty memory. And... WHY THE HELL IS THAT GUARD AT 47:44 STARING AT ME INSTEAD AT HER? Was the other guard models like this in the entire game? I can’t recall since it’s been years since I last played this. Got an A conversation between Roy and Lilina so I never saw that part.
40:55 For me, it feels like "We have come all this way, we can't turn back now. We can't feel the urge to fight, but if we must, we shall emerge victorious!"
Something I will always praise Fe hero’s is there forging bonds events and what they did with Idune alts for her event for her C support rank starts off with her thanking Roy for saving her life I know it’s something small but appreciate that they did that for her
Ah, it's nice to experience the story of my first FE game after so long :D Especially since I won't be touching it ever again, as the amount of ambush spawns completely turned me off of it.
As my first time knowing of Fire Emblem, I started by watching an Awakening walkthrough and by playing FE6. Those were the times where I thought FE was worth it.
Oh my thanks for making this video. Binding Blade has also left a mixed feeling for me as FE7 was the first FE game I played. I'm so sad I could only emulate FE6 with no US/Europe release T.T
Funny thing is that the map song of chapter 21 onward is unlocked in Fire Emblem Three Houses with Smash Bros 4 Roy amiibo to be activated in optional battles of the game (I was expecting the one for the prologue to be honest, but IS picked up the best one instead... if only the song had received the arrangement treatment for smash...).
16:26 If I knew how to edit stats, Here's what I'd change: Magic: 6 -7 Skill: 5 Speed: 5 Luck: 3 Defense: 2 Resistance: 10 Con: 5-6 HP: 20 Level: 2-3 This would make it so she's still somewhat squishy, but doesn't need that much babying to get going.
I find the "all of Elibe was united under one banner" at the end of the bad ending pretty scary. I think it's also in the good ending so it probably doesn't mean anything bad, but at first I thought it meant that the dragons took over all of Elibe.
Thanks for this video, and I hope we see this story again in a new game. Maybe a Fire Emblem Echoes with the stories of Fire Emblem 7 and Fire Emblem 6? We'll know in the 18th's Nintendo Direct.
I don't think you have to get Fae to level 15-ish. I'm almost certain you can get the best ending even if she's level 1. Just don't let the little cutie die.

it may be too late for me but accordting to Elibe lore, "those who wield the mighty thunder axe of durban, the Armads, shall die in battle". in that sense, the weapon's curse has been enacted on hector. he died in battle, not on the shoulder of his family. he cant escape the fate he got when he wielded such awesome weapon that it even spits in the face of the weapon circle bullshit.

I think I found a reason to find the ending creepy other than feeling like the game decided you're not good enough.
The bad ending says, "Centuries after Roy's time, the countries of Elibe were united under a single banner... but that is another story."
What if that "single banner" is the banner of the Dragons? After all, just because no one saw Idun again doesn't mean no one saw a War Dragon again...

I would love a sequel to FE6 with the structure of Awakening, or PERHAPS A CONSOLE VERSION THAT WILL BE EVERYTHING PATH OF RADIANCE/RADIANT DAWN WASN'T. Complete with full voice acting.
Wait, so Sacae is one of Zephiel's first targets?! No wonder we don't hear from Lyn again.

That always gave me hope for a sequel that never came to fruition.
The fact that they were united under a single banner makes me think something really bad happened again
That beginning in FE6, mentioned Zephiel took Sacae and slaughtered any who opposed him. That means he actually killed two of three main lords in FE7.
Cam M Well, I already lost track of Lyn since Chapter 11 of FE7. they really should've give her her own story, I mean she's a Sacaean right? if only she also starts with a bow
Cam M Um, Zephiel didn't kill Hector, as he says himself. It was the combined efforts of Brenya and Narcian. It's a common misconception that he does, since he talks to Hector while he is dying, but Zephiel never fights Hector.

No one person is to blame. It's everyone working in tandem that caused this game. Everything that happened in Battle Before Dawn (EVERYTHING) is what caused this game.
It's a very interesting watch about Elibe. I wish Nintendo could release FE7 and FE6 as one game and depending on what characters you pair up in FE7 those characters will benefit from their parents like in Genealogy with Generations 1 and 2.

That ending was pretty bittersweet, especially the way Idun mentions the warm breeze again that she mentioned when Roy faced her.

Roy is probably the weakest lord in the series. Wyvern Knights around every corner plot his doom every enemy phase.

I want to see an alternate version of Fire Emblem 6 where Zephiel was killed by Jaffar and Nino in Battle Before Dawn. That would be cool, right?

How bad the ending gets is very subtle. If you don't get the good ending, it just ends on "Thousands of years later, Elibe is united under one banner."
If you get the true ending, it just ends with Guinevere's ascension in that part of the script setting up the cutscenes for that day.
The "united under one banner" is the Idunn, Jahn, and Brunja succeeding and starting another scouring dragon war and winning with humanity under a single banner.

I love the Zephiel battle so much. Zephiel's combat animation is awesome, and the music is rad. The same could be said for Lyon from Sacred Stones.

Would you rather have to buy the other part of the story i.e Fates
+MasterJP28 Umm no? The game should've given us a clue to the importance of the weapons, and not make it seem like items to help you thru the story.
Plus, you HAVE TO WORK FOR SOMETHING GOOD instead of the game handing it to you. (Fates Omega Yato)

Roy: My father is the main character of FE7
Lilina: My father is the ACTUAL main character of FE7
That chapter music is so foreboding and evil sounding.

Something I will always praise Fe hero’s is there forging bonds events and what they did with Idune alts for her event for her C support rank starts off with her thanking Roy for saving her life I know it’s something small but appreciate that they did that for her
Ah, it's nice to experience the story of my first FE game after so long :D
Especially since I won't be touching it ever again, as the amount of ambush spawns completely turned me off of it.
As my first time knowing of Fire Emblem, I started by watching an Awakening walkthrough and by playing FE6. Those were the times where I thought FE was worth it.
... it is! The ambush spawns are shit, but you need to get used to it.
When you play FE12 for a while, and it becomes your favorite of the series, you get used to bull crap.
Ambush spawns only got one character killed for me.
Oh my thanks for making this video.
Binding Blade has also left a mixed feeling for me as FE7 was the first FE game I played. I'm so sad I could only emulate FE6 with no US/Europe release T.T
46:14 "some day, I'll come for you"
Funny thing is that the map song of chapter 21 onward is unlocked in Fire Emblem Three Houses with Smash Bros 4 Roy amiibo to be activated in optional battles of the game (I was expecting the one for the prologue to be honest, but IS picked up the best one instead... if only the song had received the arrangement treatment for smash...).

If I knew how to edit stats, Here's what I'd change:
Magic: 6 -7
Skill: 5
Speed: 5
Luck: 3
Defense: 2
Resistance: 10
Con: 5-6
HP: 20
Level: 2-3
This would make it so she's still somewhat squishy, but doesn't need that much babying to get going.
Nicodapeek2
She still would need a lot of babying because those stats are still ass.
@@ltranc on the baseline, not really. But she's still not worth the effort.
26:24 I love how roys sprite doesn't change at all lawlz
I don't think you have to get Fae to level 15-ish. I'm almost certain you can get the best ending even if she's level 1. Just don't let the little cutie die.
I like how the bad ending where you don't go after Idun implies the land was united under the banner of dragons. Or at least that's how I read it.
I wish they added Al and his friend from the manga version.
Idun's theme is my favorite, along with her battle theme.
its nice to see that you use lilina. most people think she is too bad, but she ends being pretty decent in my games
Lilina is worthless
Ruby Tuesday What no! I trained her up and she turns out pretty good
@@chrs.7845 Ceylon is that You?
@@chrs.7845 Lilina is terrible on hard mode and her bases are total ass she gets one rounded and why train a unit when you can use Units like Marcus Zealot Allen and Lance
Ruby Tuesday I don’t know who Ceylon is
Jerrot (Who I assume is who you are referring to with Zealot) falls off very quickly, though he can tank some hits. And Marcus is the same but he falls off even earlier. Why give kills to someone who won’t grow any more when I can raise up a pretty great mage to max potential? Lance and Allen are alright but Treck and Noah will be better by endgame
time certainly does speed right by
Roy's our boy!
