Sakurai really does interesting things when he doesnt make Smash. Talking about that, the music, the menus, they feel a lot like Smash. Meteos for Smash Switch? Meteo is like an alternate Zero from Kirby
Probably. It seems likely, since both SSBU and Meteos were designed by Sakurai. And comparing Dharkon's core and Planet Meteo does show some resemblance with the eye and the dark aura.
"From the creators of smash bros" But Bandai Namco only helped out in- "Directed by Masahiro Sakurai" OHHHHHHHH i see. It's nice to see him direct other games! Also that fork ending looks like a drawing Kirby would draw. Now that i think of it, Meteo kinda looks like Dark Matter.....

I'd just like to say that Jeljel's game over (22:54) is actually kind of terrifying. Unlike most of the game overs of the other planets, this one lets you HEAR THE SCREAMS OF THE DYING CITIZENS! That's just scary.
Worse yet, there are so few of them, and so far between on a mostly empty, infernal planet. Each one is (Presumably) dying all alone on an exploding planet. *shivers*

I have to say I absolutely love Rulue. She stared out as a one shot opponent to Arle and had no fighting skills of her own, but was later reconstructed in ARS as a martial artist who can't use magic (nearly everyone in Madou can use magic to the point no one bothers with weapons, armor, or normal attacks of any kind), as the protagonist of her own story, while retaining all of her feminine or "girly" qualities (and her attacks make her look like she's dancing). During the final battle of Madou R, Satan saved her life against the Vampire Count that kidnapped her, but he was really after Carbuncle, so she fell in love with him. Her own family never wanted anything to do with her, so she sees anything that interferes with Satan as a threat because she feels like she's losing the only person that actually cared about her. Rulue is literally the only person with any real humanity to them, the other seem like cardboard cut-outs in comparison. Its a real shame Satan is a selfish manchild that only cares about his own desires and couldn't care less about her, and Arle's become a snarky "get out of my way you annoy me" kind of protagonist.
I ended up checking out the PAL version of this game after you introduced me to it with this video I think that version fixes a glitch where the natives don't stay dead after the annihilation animation plays out
11:33 I dunno if this helps, but this kinda just came into my head. Black holes do exist, but *don’t* at the same time. Nothing exists in a black hole, so it technically doesn’t exist, but we know they exist at the same time. But if you want to pretend they don’t exist, that’s fine.
Black holes aren’t actually “nothing”. They’re just the entire mass of a star’s core condensed into a tiny point. The event horizon isn’t even a physical boundary, just the point where light can’t escape anymore.
Black holes aren't nothing, they're physical objects made of matter and/or energy. Anything with a gravitational pull too strong for light to escape would be one.
I never played much Pokémon, so I don't have as large of an attachment to the famous Hoenn trumpets and other instruments. On the other hand, I did play a lot of Kirby, so I did end up hearing a lot of French horns (looking at you, Squeak Squad).
47 trillion doesn't equal 8 times 7 billion (assuming the population in each of those scenarios is that way.) Armageddon is NOTHING compared to Meteo. I'm not sure.
Juhani Aho *[Spoiler Warning just in case someone hasn't played Planet Robobot and want's to go in blind]* While it's not as big as a kill count as armageddon or Meteo since it was stopped before it came into fruition, Planet Robobot's Star Dream was planning to destroy *all organic lifeforms* in what could've possibly been the entire dimension, and also taking into the fact that it could tear into other dimensions... Yeah, the kill count for Star Dream would've been staggering.
[More Planet Robobot spoilers, don't look if you haven't played it!] Not to mention the fact that Haltmann's company was controlling it for an unspecified amount of time taking several other planets in the Kirby universe and mechanizing them, as seen in the background for it's battle. Also, Susie said that the company was merely harvesting Pop Star of it's resources when it landed on the planet, implying that they only do this to benefit themselves with new shiny technology as well as fuel for it. Bearing those two things in mind, Star Dream may have unknowingly started this "staggering kill count" LONG before being taken to Pop Star.
The Bavoom, Vubble, and Wuud residents’ deaths are honestly really disturbing - the Bavoomians being overtaken and blown apart by the wind, the Vubblies (canon name, I checked the wiki) seemingly drowning and collapsing, and the Wuudites (again, Meteos Wiki) falling to pieces and deflating all make me really uneasy.
Dragon Quest has a creepy ending too. The game gives you the choice to join the Dragon Lord, but doing so turns the screen black and red with a message implying you will die and become his minion. And then he pulls that again in Builder. And Builder itself esteems from the hero of 1 joining forces with the Dragon Lord.
The goal is to save the galaxy, sure, but with the way this game approaches it with the concept of 'enemy planets', you gotta break a few eggs to reach Meteos regardless. Unless the 'enemy planets' only exists in the Multiplayer, in which case you can consider that mode to be a timeline where the Ark took too long, never made it, or was never made. Story-wise with fighting three Hevendors, I think the manuel mentioned that Meteos would make duplicate planets in attempts of preventing you from reaching it, though that last bit is conjecture from me.

I was thinking of Meteos just the other day; this is a very nice presentation I must say. ...But we all know the steak ending is the best, right? R-I-G-H-T...?...?...?
I loved this game, I went to the trouble of getting 100,000 points on every planet in Deluge mode (200,000 and 300,000 only for the planets with gentle physics). I used to play it before going to bed almost every day in college, since it was a nice relaxing way to "zen" out. Also the lowest ending of mission route is the harder to get than the high one, because planet luna=luna's AI is extremely suicidal and hard to keep alive for 2 minutes no matter how much you sandbag against it.
Heres a good bad ending game. Zero escape: zero time dilemma. Im sure you know it from its past games: zero escape the normany game. Its filled to the brink with bad endings with multiple storylines that can change depending on a action you do and a couple of past characters make a return.
15:07 Well, Ending G was pretty bad. I mean, the Meteos clearly killed everyone, but then they were like "Oh fuck. A dead universe is really boring. Quick! Somebody merge into a planet and spawn life!"
New game theory: FF's Meteo spell is a SUMMON?! All jokes aside, this is the second game a whoisthisgit video led me to play, after Live a Live. Git recommends good games.
THey really worked in this game, so many endings, cool gameplay, andthe fact that every single planet has its own habitants, sizes, forms, background, songs, and even his own game over theme, it´s amazing!
I never thought about it before, but the Seven Sages in Ocarina of Time (and the other seven references in Japanese games) could be a reference to the seven churches of Asia.
I don't think you are going to read this, but i have a idea for a Worst Levels Ever vídeo that is a lot like Zombies Ate My Neighbours (srry, My english is bad) It is chapter 4 of Ultimate Doom, Thy flesh consumed. Is a veeeery hard chapter compared to Inferno or the other two chapters, and in the first level, there is a secret that gives you the Rocket Laucher, without it, the next levels are HELL HIMSELF Can you talk about that please? I forget how much I love this lil game.
Now do every victory as every planet becasue now I feel bad ;_;
After seeing it's ending, I think Star Fox 2 deserves a video.
Florias, Dawndus and Yooj have, by far, the best game over themes
Ending A (Branched):You have become the very thing you swore to destroy!
11:30 Sounds like something a black hole would say
The way to get the true ending reminds me of Smash 4 3DS classic mode with the pathways you can choose on your own and being only able to see the fight the true final boss if you play at highest difficulty.
5:32 Now to mention the planets it ALREADY destroyed!
Jeljel planetary annihilation theme AKA whoisthisgit's hated bosses theme
Meteo's game over theme, AKA, WITG's *really* hated boss theme.
Mekks Victory Theme, AKA, Boss I Love Theme
Am I the only one reading TetsuRa Mizuguchi at the end of the opening video??
hehehe le funny number
Go to hell XD
Fucksakes
now you have the funny number, you're welcome (though im sure someone will also upvote that and take it away)
I was the 69th like
cjh183 Lol its ok fam don't let that get to ya, besides not like he can prove it anyways XD
I was thinking of Meteos just the other day; this is a very nice presentation I must say.
...But we all know the steak ending is the best, right?
R-I-G-H-T...?...?...?
thank you for opening my eyes to this game.
19:08 Oh, I get it, because they're all typical second-to-last bosses!
Whoisthis git is such a great youtuber, that i can start to feel dread by looking at a puzzle game.
The victory jingle at 20:19 sounds like the smash 4 theme
Heres a good bad ending game. Zero escape: zero time dilemma. Im sure you know it from its past games: zero escape the normany game. Its filled to the brink with bad endings with multiple storylines that can change depending on a action you do and a couple of past characters make a return.
15:07 Well, Ending G was pretty bad. I mean, the Meteos clearly killed everyone, but then they were like "Oh fuck. A dead universe is really boring. Quick! Somebody merge into a planet and spawn life!"
Hey man I'm so glad your uploading videos more often! It really brightens up my day!! ^-^ I hope this continues!
I can't find meteo's Song theme when You are about To fight him in star trip 7:41
And here I am playing Tetris Attack without even knowing this game existed. I know what i'm gonna try next.
The Annihilation scenes made me feel pain in the heart of mine.
Because of this video, I actually went and got Meteos and now I'm addicted
Thanks, whoisthisgit for making me realise this game exists
same
Meteos my favorite DS game everrrr. I'm surprised there is no 3DS or even mobile online sequel... its the only falling blocks puzzle game I'm good at.
There is a sequel for the Xbox 360 called Meteos Wars
New game theory: FF's Meteo spell is a SUMMON?!
All jokes aside, this is the second game a whoisthisgit video led me to play, after Live a Live. Git recommends good games.
Is it me or do so many DS games have creepy bad endings?
THey really worked in this game, so many endings, cool gameplay, andthe fact that every single planet has its own habitants, sizes, forms, background, songs, and even his own game over theme, it´s amazing!
And winning themes of course!
Meteos is such a satisfying game, one of the best that came out on the original DS
The perfect video doesn't exi-
OMG you watch whoisthisgit too??? YAAAAA
AAAAAAAA THIS GAME
THIS FUCKIN GAME
IT WAS MY CHILDHOOD
EDIT: I STILL GET GOOSEBUMPS FROM THE INTRO
The thumbnail looks a lot like the eye used for the Beast Wars logo.
Also, Git, prepare for a lot of immature comments because of the number.
It's already been a week, and I don't see any... man, Git's comment section is really great.
This, and the Imperator are the only things that make this horrendous week worth it!
It was so addicting to unlock every single planet in this game.
I think I know why Meteos was decided for #69: Because if you're not quick enough on the draw, you're screwed! :D
...I'll see myself out.
I never thought about it before, but the Seven Sages in Ocarina of Time (and the other seven references in Japanese games) could be a reference to the seven churches of Asia.
It's amazing how the creators of this game managed to make every level feel unique from one another.
I don't think you are going to read this, but i have a idea for a Worst Levels Ever vídeo that is a lot like Zombies Ate My Neighbours (srry, My english is bad)
It is chapter 4 of Ultimate Doom, Thy flesh consumed.
Is a veeeery hard chapter compared to Inferno or the other two chapters, and in the first level, there is a secret that gives you the Rocket Laucher, without it, the next levels are HELL HIMSELF
Can you talk about that please? I love your videos and as a spanish viewer is soooo perfect to undertand. Thank you
