The problem I'm having is the Radial Menu isn't the same system back in Iceborne, you know. Having it setup for Farm and change it to my Hunt one doesn't change to my Hunt setup.
lol i just use the camp to replenish, not sure why so many would worry about this. if people run out of ammo like this they need to try solo running the cat cluster HBG, this is where it really happens (still fun though but im not as good with HBG)
Bro don’t budget too hard lol. Try this sticky build on for size. It’s just as easy to make with no talisman and you still get artillery and a bunch of maxed out skills. -Pukei-pukei helm -Rhenoplos mail -Anjanath vambraces -Dober coil -hunter’s greaves This build gives lv7 attack boost, lv3 slugger, lv3 artillery, lv3 recoil down, lv1 spare shot(lv3 with talisman), lv3 stun res, dragon attack lv1, special ammo boost lv1, and I have steadiness lv2 because I had 2 lv1 slots on my spare shot talisman but you don’t need the spare shot talisman or steadiness. If you do happen to have a spare shot lv2 talisman then you get spare shot lv3. I’m pretty sure I can even max out special ammo boost if I want to use wyvern heart on a HBG to go from sticky to wyvernheart.
Just crafted this gun yesterday and I was about to farm for talisman, but it's nice to know that we can actually go without one! Thanks so much for giving so much spotlight for my favorite weapon.
Yes, Narga LBG is top-tier cheese lol. I had great fun listening to Phemeto describe why Bow was broken whilst I sat there with Night Owl skewering Mizutsune to death by tapping ZR for 7mins 😂😂

For the average player, or even a 'just good' player (which is where I and the majority of longtime fans sit), probably the same time, if not longer. The frame exploit on Bow shouldn't be there, but at least the weapon itself requires a level of effort and thought. Most of the time, LBG/HBG are literally press-ZR-to-win. VERY fun ...But braindead.
Nowhere near an end game build but after watching earlier videos started emulating this play style. Never looked back. Even selected the silencer just for the looks alone!

I've only ever played monster hunter world and I was originally a bow user and got into lbg and hbg late in icebourne. Started lbg and found your channel in rise and won't look back you're a beast
The light bowgun already has fantastic reloading speed on most of the ammo, so I only got Reload Speed Level 1 in my build. Given we use sticky ammo half of the time, I would aim to craft Ammo Up and Artillery jewels as soon as possible. A Talisman with Spare Shot skill would be a great addition.
Thanks Ang. Put this together last night and feels good; now the hard decision of ATK boost at 4 or Artillery at 3. Many a monster will perish validating bis.
Omg this build is amazing. I patterned it and made a few tweaks, added atk boost 6. Monster always gets KO'ed. Dmg is no joke either, and most of all, so fun
I have a similar build to this one but instead of attack lvl 4, I have artillery lvl 3 and Special Ammo Boost lvl 2. I have a Spare Shot lvl 2 Talisman, no deco slots unfortunately. Great job as always, hopefully more people will get into LBG with this set.
Tried the build with barroth mail instead of vaik mail (too lazy to fish for speartuna). Had a spare lv 2 talisman with lv 3 deco slot. Final build had these skills: Atk lv6 Spare shot lv3 Recoil down lv3 Slugger lv3 Artillery lv3 Ammo up lv3 Poison atk lv2 Def lv2 Stun resistance lv1 Flinch free lv1 Cheese build indeed! Tried it out on pukei (pr 4:32) and magna (pr 6:40) with no atk buffs.

Do you have a video that goes over the different ammo types and when to use them? I noticed that you used slicing ammo in this video even though that ammo says it's for cutting tails.
monster health only has 3 variations for multiplayer, 1 hunter, 2 hunters, and 4 hunters. this is the system from mhworld and was kept in for rise. previously and at the start of world the scaling was only 1 hunter and 4 hunters
just reached endgame a few days ago, so I've been looking for builds. I'd like to say how appreciative I am that most of what I've seen from AngBata has been focused on builds that don't require a Talisman. I've since built up a decent collection and will give this one a shot. I'll probably be able to fit in artillary ;p

Especially when almost all of the weapons feel underwhelming, which I feel would work towards the bowfins benefit. The damage being all similar doesn’t matter, because all you’re looking for are the ammo types? I made one and tested it, I was pretty clueless going on blind.
Hmm guess I should share an obscure bow gun tech, never seen it in any video but people who stacked thousands of bow gun hunts should've figured it out: I'd you shoot stickies on the decor (wall/floor) they explode instantly since they can't stick to those You can shoot it on the ground below a monster's face to instantly pop the sticky on them instead of having to wait You'd deal the same damage no matter which body part it explode on but if you pay attention to the sound, you can tell if it applied KO dmg (to the head) or not, you'll need to learn how to use it efficiently but it all for really early easy KO's if you want the monster to fall at a certain place

@@s.a-b3842 you can litteraly mick when to do it or not, idk if there's a setting but when you could use the dpad for ammo & items it wasn't even a bother, world allowed you to change the order of your items, now you can't anymore

get focus on a talisman- now you can charge faster.... the magna hbg has all the same ammo, ‘cept you can charge them... all of them aside from cluster. has a huuuuuge slicing clip too. try out the Rajang Arena hunt. gives you a good idea of how good it can be
I run a modified version of this build swapping out Attack boost for Part Breaker because i was tired of killing monsters before i could breaks claws, heads, and tails
i love the look of the almudron gun, but on paper i do see a way that its all that useful, its the kinda gun because it looks pretty i really want it to work.
Remember when Alatreon came to Iceborne and the Alatreon LBG became the #1 choice for elemental gunning? MAGNAMALOS DECIDED TO COPY THAT. Only difference between Magna's & Alatreon's LBGs?? 1 uses all the forms of elemental ammo The other, (aka Magna's) specializes in using every type of "raw" ammo AND in most cases the Magnamalos clip size/ammo stats are better than any other LBG (except in very specific comparisons when looking at one particular ammo type) BUT! Even in the cases where another gun is slightly better than the Magnamalos's LBG: Magna's offers multiple alternate ammo types for you to use EFFECTIVELY ....(without much additional skill investment) so when you exhaust your primary ammo you can keep the fight going without losing significant DPS
I mainly use this gun for Spread 3, it feels really nice and you're mobile enough as LBG to not really need aim booster. A big step forward from Frostfang lbg in Iceborne. For the other ammos though I prefer other guns. Pierce obviously goes to degenerate Nargacuga, Slicing I like to do with Zinogre, and explosives is just too fun with Anjanath.
I never see anyone talk about the Ibushi LBG. It's got decent raw, no slots BUT it comes with rapid fire on all the important level 2's like Pierce, Spread, Shrapnel and even dragon. The wide variety of rapid shots means that you can switch on the fly and not worry about a DPS drop. You can build strictly for crit boost + WEX, and/or you can take things like Rapid Fire Boost if you've got a talisman with a point in that. People be SLEEPIN on Ibushi I swear. Mainly, the way I play with Ibushi LBG is interchangeable. I begin with a careful approach and use shrapnel while I eye the condition of the monster. It has sticky 2 and 3 so I can go for a stun to open the monster up, or use endemic life or wait for my palico to get a paralysis. Then I put down some mines, and fire away with shrapnel or spread for higher close-range DPS. Once the monster is back up, I back up and fire with pierce depending on the monster (or keep using shrapnel in situations like Anjanath).
How the heck did you cheese him in 4:49? I built the exact same build to test (other than using a different talisman with lvl 2&1 slots cuz I'm still trying to roll that spare shot god-tier) and it took me 17:20...it sure was fun watching him stumble though! My Night Owl (Narga) cheesed way harder than my SinisterLBG....14:16 and that was taking time after carting, eating dango, and then running back to him.

Paralysis paralyse the monster after 2-3 shot, then u need more and more ammo to paralyse Exhaust ammo... Exhaust monster, draining their stamina (make them slower and have that drooling animation that give u opening). If u hit the head with thoses it can also stun monsters Poison ammo- Do I need to explain ?
One of my builds has Artillery 3, no attack up and another that has Attack Up 4 and Artillery 2 is that the Sticky does 1 point more damage on the Artillery 3 build while the Spread does 1 point more per tick (5 more damage total) on the Attack Up build. Not a bad trade off I guess.
Lmao this gun is absolutly insane. Makes farming every monster a fucking cake walk. Getting by far my best kill times with this gun. Btw, is it better to go for atk7 or atk4 + artillery3?
Since I refuse to do the tower defense trash I wont be able to access most of those decos. I'm fine with that, fuck rampage I will not be forced into it
The run looks interesting and boring at the same time. What I mean it is impressiv to see that the monster is KOed pretty much the whole time. On the other side such a play style is quite boring in the longer term, at least for me. Anyway, thanks for sharing. :)
We know that spread is good in terms of damage on this set, but what about Shrapnel, Normal, and Pierce level 3? I am curious and will be testing it when I get this set going.
Is there a cap to KO buildup? I know resistance goes up everytime you KO but this makes me think there's a cap that is low enough that LBG can permastun monsters that are susceptible to getting KOd.
This build rely so much on ammo capacity jewel, tried using without it (only 9 ammo on sticky), this build is worse compared to night owl build, i dunno maybe i just can't use this build
I would love to fully upgrade my Magna LBG but I can’t get an orb from him. I’m fought Magna 20+ times and I’ve only gotten 1 orb and I used it on my LS
His build around 3:14 shows he had a talisman with level 2 spareshot which meant he could change up his armor a bit and fit artillery decos which are good for increasing sticky damage.
I run a power barrel on mine based off the other build you put up and I dont see any issues with recoil. And I also oddly like the deviation because I can used the curve to get around things....like almudrons freakin tail...

If you are serious, Its a skill that makes it so there is a chance per shot the you won't spend ammo. Extremely helpful

One of my builds has Artillery 3, no attack up and another that has Attack Up 4 and Artillery 2 is that the Sticky does 1 point more damage on the Artillery 3 build while the Spread does 1 point more per tick (5 more damage total) on the Attack Up build. Not a bad trade off I guess.
Normal 3 Pierce 3 Spread 3 Pierce 3 Sticky 3 Christmas 3 you name it
Lmao this gun is absolutly insane. Makes farming every monster a fucking cake walk. Getting by far my best kill times with this gun. Btw, is it better to go for atk7 or atk4 + artillery3?

You may be missing a high rank rathalos wing. The other item is a mizutsune scale which are common and a bloodrun jewel.
You have to complete the Barioth HR hub quest to unlock it.

The run looks interesting and boring at the same time. What I mean it is impressiv to see that the monster is KOed pretty much the whole time. On the other side such a play style is quite boring in the longer term, at least for me. Anyway, thanks for sharing. :)

We know that spread is good in terms of damage on this set, but what about Shrapnel, Normal, and Pierce level 3? I am curious and will be testing it when I get this set going.
Is there a cap to KO buildup? I know resistance goes up everytime you KO but this makes me think there's a cap that is low enough that LBG can permastun monsters that are susceptible to getting KOd.
I believe every status has a cap to its build-up. The hunter notes indicate as much.

This build rely so much on ammo capacity jewel, tried using without it (only 9 ammo on sticky), this build is worse compared to night owl build, i dunno maybe i just can't use this build

His build around 3:14 shows he had a talisman with level 2 spareshot which meant he could change up his armor a bit and fit artillery decos which are good for increasing sticky damage.
What would be a good all around Light bow gun build? I want to heal allies and buff them but deal good damage as well.
I run a power barrel on mine based off the other build you put up and I dont see any issues with recoil. And I also oddly like the deviation because I can used the curve to get around things....like almudrons freakin tail...
