    Thank you for this. I come from baroque bows and early music, but I always played under-grip (viola de gamba style). So, even if the modern bow / violin references are completely lost on me, I find this grip interesting and would like to learn over-hand a bit better!

    You know what? It is just a national treasure! After I just fell in love with period instrument and ancient music six months ago, I’m considering very seriously to turn my cellist career to baroque cello. And go to the conservatory again to study baroque cello.
    More I dig into the field, I find a limitless depth of the field. If I can dare to ask, did you start your cellist career with a baroque cello or switched from modern? I just love your playing and teaching.

      A=415

      @@morgonzola100 Thank you. I was asking that because i received a rental baroque one and tuned A to 415 and I am unsure if what I am hearing is what it is supposed to sound like, cause I do not have a reference.... Hard to tell from videos like yours if mine is sounding correct. E.g. the A is very quite and nasal, G and C are sturdy and deep.

    'Bits, metal thingy, twisty'...do you not know the names of the various parts of a bow?

      Dice así para que lo puedan entender mejor. Es muy pedagógico, no veo por qué tirar mala onda.
