just to point some thing out that a lot of people need to know. the rear latch that he is referring to is the factory tow hook/tie down. they are NOT for heavy duty applications. i know this for a fact. mine is no longer on my car and there is a hole in my trunk floor where it is supposed to be. i got my car very stuck the other day and tried to use it as a tow hook it did not work very well. however if you are only lightly stuck it works just fine.

The front toe hook will be a lot more difficult to install as you have to attach it to something metal (the front bumper support behind the bumper) as the bumpers themselves are plastic. I've seen it done however there will be some cutting of bumpers in some circumstances. If you are lucky enough you will not have to cut your bumper but the front is a PITA.
Its your call man! It sucks but I haven't found someone with a rear diffuser AND a tow hook. Its basically one or the others, so if you want to run that tow hook, it'd be you customizing it to work. Consider the price of the splitter if you mess it up.
I bought the password JDM and I was wondering if both bolts are necessary? I'll play around with it but the way my towhook latch is the thing is pointed way down when both bolts are assembled
Calvin C. You can use them for both They are awesome for the track and a lot of tracks won't let you run without them Also if you get stuck somewhere you don't fuck up your bumper They can also be used for tie downs for kayaks, etc

Juan Torres every car should have one Otherwise you could drill it into something sturdy and bolt it there For the front put it in the bumper support. Frame. Or front bumper ( not the outer skin. )
You should be okay with installing it. It doesn't make the car more safe or less safe. You car already has a stock tow hook under your car, you're simply improving it.
why bother putting a tow hook on a car like that? i highly doubt that car will go anywhere where it needs a tow hook. I thought this was on a truck. something that would make sense. you people probably just do this to look "cool". i put 2 hooks on the front and am trying to put a d-shackle on my truck. for when i have to pull someone or get pulled out.
buddy I don't think you get the purpose of the tow hook. Its not so I can tow something, its so someone can tow me. If you're taking your vehicle to a racetrack you need a tow hook should you go off course. If you get yourself in a situation where you get your car stuck, these tow hooks make getting out a heck of a lot easier. I'm not expecting closed minded people to understand that however there are some benefits to adding them. Especially front tow hooks, I just towed a Mini Cooper last week by the front of the car because it had a front tow hook on. The engine on it went and it had to be pulled. Without the tow hook, I would have had to call a tow truck.
well for one where the hook was hooked to was not made for the car to be pulled its for straping the car down for transport. second its just a lame fad. i see cars all over with these hooks on them with bald tires and ebay fart cans.and in turn makes them think they got a race car i have a cobalt that is completly stock on the outside cept it being lowered 2.5in but the diffrence is it throws down!!! n/a full rebuild streghtened and high comp. and i cant help but to blow any car with a tow hook on it like that out the water. your right tho about making it easier to pull out of shitty situations. but its never installed right. it should be hooked to the frame or to a section of the reinforced unibody with grade 8 bolts.but to each his own i guess....... but legaly you are not aloud to pull an auto via chain or rope on public roads. they must be towed-trailered or on a dolly.
