As long as you have that tow ring in the back, a tow hook should fit just fine.

Yes and no, because if a SUB or 4x4 truck that are higher then it won't prevent from getting hit. If any cars that are same level then yes it will prevent other cars from hitting your bumper or use it as bumper guard.
