This room felt “real life” to me. We all have a room where we put things that maybe don’t go anywhere else, or as we upgrade, we try to use the old stuff and it gets overwhelming. I could relate to the dilemma. I think your ideas are a great jumping off point for the home owner so she has some direction about where to go with her space.
This is fantastic! I can really see the owner being able to achieve calm and cohesion, as well as even upping their storage. More of this kind of thing would be great. ❤
Yes to changing up the beds. If getting rid of both beds is not an option , even pushing them together with one quilt when guests are not there might work.
Good suggestions. I like the idea of a day bed in a multi purpose room, takes up less space plus storage. It would be nice to hear how the suggestions were perceived and implemented by the participant viewer.
Yes! The daybed in my guest room is game changing for sure. And yea it would be nice! I can imagine people might get offended with my changes haha! so who knows if they will reach out but hopefully its inspiring on some level!
Great ideas! I bought two ikea wardrobes that I loved because they were modern, light colored wood and had long plastic fluted panels in the doors. I placed plastic shelving units in each one and then smaller see thru covered containers for different craft supplies. It is so great for organizing and easy retrieval. Next to it, to the right, is a stand up desk that I use for sewing. The top is a similar colored wood-like finish. I love it! I'm still working on 2 other walls but I can't have all that clutter, it's like going back in time. No way! Took me 69 years to get here. Haha
I love to do that, but with the big curtains already I would assume it would just add more clutter to the space. I think closed storage would be the best!
I love love love this new series you’ve been gifting us. Are you still accepting new rooms to share feedback with? I would love your insight/help with designing my living room. If so, where can I apply?
Wow, this was a lot. My first thoughts were how in the world are you going to walk us through this small crowded space...and virtually. I appreciate your ability to knowledge share your various design talents, accessibility options, and reiterating aspects of past videos into play. I imagine that Terri got some valuable inspiration and I can't wait to see video updates of your Living Like LK series. I love, love, love to organize and I am great at it but I am very design challenged and hover around utilitarian focused design so your information is always enlightening. Thank you!
Haha I love it thank you! I really hope she got some inspiration as that was the goal. I would definitely have approached this room differently if I was actually making it over with her and with a budget in mind.
I really enjoy watching your videos. All your ideas about adding more light I especially like. The pop lights sound great. I am also looking at battery operated bulbs in addition to small lamps. Anything to add more light in some of my rooms. I may look at a roman shade for filtered light as you suggested for this makeover. Thanks for your inspiration!
Great ideas. I have easily reupholstered similar office chairs. You just undo the plastic backing and staple new material over existing and thdn click plastic back on.
Hi LK! This is totally not the topic of the video… but I LOVE your hair. I have a similar texture and would love to know what you ask for in a cut & style!
haha hey thanks! I honestly just ask my stylist to give me choppy layers and then we finesse it every time based on how it feels to me. Wish I had more of a specific answer to give you! :)
I especially liked the idea of the daybed with storage. (Maybe sell the two twin beds to fund that purchase.) Dying the curtains (sheets?) is a great diy option-that amount of new drapery could get expensive. If she can sew, she could give them some heft by lining them (could just be thrifted sheets): they need weight to “play nice” with the quilts, I think. Interesting video …
Yes! I love using what you've already got, and by selling things you already have you can basically get a low cost or $0 makeover. I think lining them is a great idea too!
Hi, Can you give me some options to do something with a really old ugly medicine cabinet? the outside has a mirror which is okay, but the inside is all yellow and rested-looking, any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
What are you using to create these mockups ?! I’d love to be able to easily visualize different items in my space. Thanks for all your brilliant ideas!!!
I appreciate you helping, but she specifically didn’t wanna buy anything new. You took out everything she had and wanted her to buy other things. I just can’t get behind that.
uhhh what did u watch the video she gave so many repurposing ideas and this is clearly meant to be inspiration for how to eventually have a more organized room
@@ambergerhelper7852 so weird i can’t imagine making that room work with all that disjointed furniture and how do you know the woman said she specifically didn’t want to spend money? LK didn’t show us the email.
@@ambergerhelper7852no lol she said “she hopes to find things to repurpose and mix in some mid century items with her current colors and style” which are exactly 2 things that happened in this situation. if you’re terri and hate the room just say that looolll

Love "Living like LK" You offer real solutions for real people. Keep them coming!
Thanks Robin!

What about using curtains or bamboo shades down front of her book cases and stuff to minimize the look?
I love to do that, but with the big curtains already I would assume it would just add more clutter to the space. I think closed storage would be the best!
Really great ideas!
LOVE THIS
Excellent suggestions!! I really enjoyed this content!!!!
Thank you!
You are good, girl! Looking forward to your next video! Xx
Yay thanks!
That room is HUGE; I’m jealous! 😊

So much better having the clutter/craft tucked away. It's so hard to get a multi-purpose room looking good but hopefully Terri got inspired.
Totally!
Great ideas.
Glad you like them!
Great ideas! I love these videos. I have lots of rooms to make over, so these are so helpful.

Certainly an affordable upgrade!
I think so! It's definitely about maximizing space with intentional items, and its totally possible to find those pieces affordably.
@@livingwithlk Yes, my fav was the wicker sun blinds ans desk. That looks more harmonized with the craft corner. Thank you!
So so sooo good suggestions.
Do mine next please 😊

Of course! I use Canva, and I made a video about how to do it! It’s the thumbnail that says START HERE :)
We had that IKEA pullout bed. It was junk, only lasted about two years.
Hasn’t been junk for us!
