Can I just say...THANK YOU !!! I am a creative person who used to do these personal things around my house all.the.time. But lately I have been stumped by the over the top perfect..ness of everything and just stopped. Well, I am going back to my roots thanks to your inspiration ❤❤❤
This compilation video really highlights how clever, creative, and incredibly capable you are and what a wide range of projects you've completed. Well done!
My favorite transformation of yours (so far) is the coffee station, esp. the cabinet glass treatment. Our latest home amendment: we just changed out our solid no-fun back patio door to a 9-lite exterior door. We love the extra light it provides as well as the view of the garden. ❤ your channel!
I love that you paid respect to what's happening in California. I lived in LA County for a lot of years. I left part of my heart there when I had to leave. ❤
Yes I lived in LA for a decade or so and I've been in southern california my whole life -- I never get used to the wildfires but this one is especially horrendous
Hi LK, thank you! Your content is always fresh, creative, inventive, inspiring, and fabulous. Love your practical, cost-effective, diy, sustainable vintage loving ideas.
Absolutely love these ideas, especially the pole-wrap projects. I recently rewired two living room lamps which was not only fun, but gives such a sense of accomplishment.
I was first recommended this channel last fall, and it has quickly become a must watch for me! I love your creativity, emphasis on thrifted, unique finds and great advice. Looking forward to seeing what you create in the new year!
You used my favorite word “bespoke!” I was watching some British design shows a few years ago and they use that word a lot. Of course I had to look it up lol. In my daily life I can’t say it’s easy to fit that word in 😊
Great tips/ideas. I have a pedestal sink but I like my base, it hides the pipes behind it. The wood wrapped around the pedestal sink you showed, it seems water splashing/dripping would get absorbed in the wood trim. Seems it would need cleaning and attention often. Also the small shelf by the sink. I have a shelf for my sink but it's above the sink and under the medicine cabinet. It's 16" long and 4" deep, just enough space to keep a flameless candle on and have room for tooth brushing utensils when using them or face wash, then put them away. The shelf is made from a board, painted white. I have little square tiles on the top, left over trim tile from tiling the tub surround (rental unit). Your coffee bar projects was one on my favorites, that entire room actually. Plans this year - my bathroom, I need to take out the tub and put in a walk in shower, hip & mobility issues, it's time!
Thank you for your kind words about the LA fires. Your tips are always great. The silver lamp is terrific and now that I know I can order a lamp kit and make my own lamp that functions and won't electrocute me, I will try it. Happy 2025!
Loved all your suggestions. I made a lamp with a Chianti wine bottle years ago. I bought a kit somewhat like you showed. I also made a hanging lamp out of a basket. Nice job on that pole wrapped sink storage cover
I love these tips - thinking outside of the box is a great way of coming up with something that works for you. I definitely need to apply these principles to my place. :)
You have an incredible imagination & the ability to replicate items useful, economical and design worthy, many thanks, enjoy your videos & the processing involved
Loved the chrome lamp and the photo frame (featuring your two kitties). Your DIY instructions are top rate and easy to follow. My favorite of your homemade crafts is the "stained glass" door. I was skeptical at first, but (GASP) it turned out beautifully! P.S. You look great in that fabulous plaid shirt! Happy New Year and stay safe ...
I saw many of the DIY's in your previous videos. You do a phenomenal job of teaching us how to make improvements in our home with your videos economically. Thank you!
Love the bathroom sink transformation came out so nice and the coffee bar came out so cool when you added that privacy film genius!!! I just bought the house we were renting and so many projects come to mind too many to list, lol!
I’m so impressed by your artistic creativity but also by your creative problem-solving. A troublesome trait of mine is perfectionism which might also be called “fear of failure.” It holds me back from trying to do things that I haven’t been “trained” to do. Seeing you use a simple miter box and handsaw takes away my excuse/fear that I’ll amputate a limb if I try to use a power saw. Very, very inspiring video. Subscribed!
Thank you for You! U R down to earth.Someone I would see myself loving as friend, neighbor, anything.Your voice is easy ,as R ur words. YOU seem to be one of a kind,in how down to earth U R. I thank you again.Oh,& U use Miter Box on the regular😊What more can a viewer wish for.Not too fancy to use a saw and box! It's so great LK! From,Lori
You are absolutely lovely and your ideas are inspiring and different from other channels! I’m renting too and it is sometimes more challenging to make it my own style but I’ve become more inventive 🥰
Happy Sunday, LK from the PNW! I did a "post to pillar" project last summer with scrap trim pieces I'd found at either Habitat for Humanity or in the scrap section at Home Depot. Not anything major, but in the end an unsightly load-bearing post became a pillar complete with a base and crown moulding on the top! Love your creative ideas as always! 😊
I didn’t! Just checked up on it a few days ago when I was visiting and it’s totally fine. If you wanted to seal it I would just use matte polyurethane!
You have some GREAT ideas…but all of your swinging hands make us dizzy…..otherwise you are perfect…Thankyou babe. Happy new year…please shop the habitat for humanity stores for great buys!!!!
I really like how you work and liked all these projects. Most of us though can't spend $223 on pole wrap. I want to use that in a project I want to do but it would be cheaper to just replace it. 😢
Thanks! The pole wrap is $69 for 4ft by 8ft and I looked at vanities and there weren’t many that were aesthetically pleasing under $400 so this was much more cost efficient! Also as she rents she could not replace the vanity entirely.
@ Really, where was the pole wrap? I just looked on Amazon because that is what was on the video. It's perfect for what I want to do which by the way was not a vanity, it's the front of $125 Ikea cabinet. Please let me know where the pole wrap is? I am in Canada so it's always more expensive here, but surely not that much.😄
@ Thanks for getting back. I double checked and I did click the link on your site and it is a 4x8 and it's $223. What on earth could explain that kind of difference? Oh well, my loss but thanks again LK.
because this is the only life I get and I don’t know if I’ll ever own! why waste a perfectly good life living in a place that doesnt feel like home every day?
Good ideas; however, I suggest that the word MATERIAL would be correct instead of materiality. ? Why do people take normal words like material and function and add on ----ALITY for so many youtube videos? They are irritating and overused, at the least, if not incorrect English.
Adding “-ality” to a word like “material” or “function” creates a noun that refers to a particular quality, condition, or characteristic of that word’s original meaning. For example, “material” is a noun that refers to physical substances or resources, but “materiality” shifts the focus to the quality or state of being material-essentially, it’s a way to talk about “materialness” in the abstract. Similarly, “function” is about what something does, while “functionality” emphasizes the overall ability or capacity of something to perform its function. In many cases, this kind of suffix creates a more formal or academic term that allows people to discuss these qualities in a broader, more conceptual way. While this might seem unnecessary at first glance, it can be useful in certain contexts-such as design, philosophy, or law-where distinguishing between the thing itself and its abstract qualities can help clarify a discussion or argument.
Your landlord should thank his lucky stars. You ate the best renter EVER.
You have such a good eye for thrift store finds and are so creative. Thanks for revisiting these DIYs.
aw thank you!

Absolutely love these ideas, especially the pole-wrap projects. I recently rewired two living room lamps which was not only fun, but gives such a sense of accomplishment.
Thank you! And that's so true! I was never educated on how to do that stuff growing up so learning it on my own is super rewarding : )
So glad you're OK. I have a coworker in LA who has had to evacuate, but is back home. Hope your brother stays safe!
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m so thankful for all of the support -- so far everyone is OK which is all we can ask for..
Finally real and accessible DIYs. Thank you❤❤

Haha its definitely most fitting in the design worlds but its a great descriptive word!

After watching you use the window cling on your cabinet, I did the same and it looks so beautiful!!

Delighted by the warmth, the focus on one's own tastes, and fun ingenuity that gave me just the creative boost needed today ❤

I'd love to insert some pole wrap on the back part of some shelving I have in my living room. I think it would bring needed texture to that area.
yes that’s a great idea!
You have an incredible imagination & the ability to replicate items useful, economical and design worthy, many thanks, enjoy your videos & the processing involved

It's devastating the fires in California. It breaks my heart. 😢 please stay safe.
I had kind of run out of DIY things to do at my place, but this is giving me some new ideas. Especially the picture frame. Thank you!

Happy Sunday, LK from the PNW! I did a "post to pillar" project last summer with scrap trim pieces I'd found at either Habitat for Humanity or in the scrap section at Home Depot. I love small changes, I also love to thrift, I am trying to use all my left over paint.. wish me luck…😊
You’re gonna love what you can create with some thrifting and leftovers!
you are so clever
Did you seal/waterproof the pole wrap around the sink? If so, what did you use?
I didn’t! Just checked up on it a few days ago when I was visiting and it’s totally fine. If you wanted to seal it I would just use matte polyurethane!
Your note to all the LA fire victims is so poignant. Such hard times we are living through. Thinking of those poor folks doing with this.
Yes its so sad and I feel for everyone going through it.. I can't imagine how long it will take to clear the air quality let alone rebuild..
Clever lady
LK! I need to get in touch with you. How?
❤️🌹
You have some GREAT ideas…but all of your swinging hands make us dizzy…..otherwise you are perfect…Thankyou babe. Happy new year…please shop the habitat for humanity stores for great buys!!!!
I am so sorry about your California fires. I have you all in my prayers. Liz
Thank you Liz, I appreciate that so much!
I would probably have used a basket to hide the bucket of cat food.
that works too! i like the little curtain though
why didn’t you make skirt to go around it?
I really like how you work and liked all these projects. Most of us though can't spend $223 on pole wrap. I want to use that in a project I want to do but it would be cheaper to just replace it. 😢

@lorithrower2467 did you click the link in my description? it’s that one.
@ Thanks for getting back. I double checked and I did click the link on your site and it is a 4x8 and it's $223. What on earth could explain that kind of difference? Oh well, my loss but thanks again LK.
@lorithrower2467 oh man that sucks!! :( maybe canada vs. US :(
Why would you waste money decorating a space that you don’t own?
because this is the only life I get and I don’t know if I’ll ever own! why waste a perfectly good life living in a place that doesnt feel like home every day?
Thats a great reason.
Inspirational!!!🎉❤

Use a window to frame photos of your animals…you can paint the window any color….you will love love the photo window…hugs carolyn
