Good review. I’ve had my 2022 TRD Off Road since December. Love it to death. Best truck I’ve ever owned. In regards to paint issues, my truck color is Super White. I had a clear mask installed on my front end. So far I’ve not noticed any paint issues. As far as mods are concerned, I agree with two of your three mods. My best here are #1 the bed mat. That should be he first thing any Tacoma owner buys. #2 is the tonneau cover from Truxedo. I have a roll up one as well. So versatile and useful. However, my #3 best mod is the rear bumper step. This thing is wonderful for saving my knees then I try to get into the back of my truck. It pulls out then tucks back in under the right rear bumper. I can step right up into the bed without having to crawl up on to the tailgate. A great knee saver.
I guess you would see a lot of little nicks and chips in Black anyway. White from what I've heard has some issues but mine seems to be holding up pretty well especially with the Arizona sun. I still love driving mine too and if they ever make EV's mandatory they'd have to pry my Tacoma from my cold, dead hands!
Sprint Booster is not a "might". It WILL totally change/cancel the 'lag" and to your taste level...20 minute install. Last mod I would give up. Though I do love my glorious fake hood scoop on an Off Road (yep, had local body shop paint me up a scooped version hood). It adds such a nice look. Same for adding 2021 TRD Pro Wheels (plus they are much lighter than stock TRD OR). I have no desire to run big tires and lift (especially w/ gas prices. Thanks, Brandon!) - many negatives, and a short list of positives. But lifts and big tires swamp the Tacoma mod world....
@@DJXPLRS FWIW, the wife review, "Your truck now acts like a normal vehicle" referring to when she hits the pedal, it actually responds. I heard one user describe it as , "You no longer have to anticipate early acceleration in certain situations". I'd be surprised if you aren't VERY pleased w/ what it does for your driving experience. Clean, simple interface, and very unobtrusive.

A hybrid version would be ideal over a full EV (my opinion)
