Everyone thinks about the human characters so much that it’s easy to forget how fuckin’ amazing the designs for all the infected are.

no one realizes this but ellie in the end regretted EVERYTHING being so harsh to joel, last things she ever said was she couldnt forgive him, she was mean to him basically treated him terribly leaving dina and bringing her letting jesse die, and her worst fear came to life in the end she was all alone has ptsd, probably depression as well.
In the end she said she would like to try and forgive Joel and he said he would like that too. I would be really sad if the two ended in an even worse note than that.

I do like how story based games with plenty of characters/enemies have a model gallery. It's an out of the box idea for artists to get their references, especially for drawing fanart.
Makes us apprichiate just how much attention to detail was put into the games. Being able to zoom in on all the little details is really nice.

I was thinking of a left behind type dlc where you play as Tommy, starting from when he leaves Jackson and ending maybe when he finds Jesse or at the marina fight. Splash in flashbacks of tommy and Joel growing up, their time surviving after the outbreak, their final conversation before the first game and meeting Maria. I’d absolutely buy that.

This was satisfying to watch for some reason.
The talkative, funny and adorable 14 year old kid is now matured and became more serious in life. I missed her. I love you Ellie. Kinda feels bad about her losing weight and became skinny and now she lost her two fingers that makes her couldn't play guitar anymore that her father teaches her.

Won't lie the model difference between healthy Abby and starved tortured Abby are a nice contrast to show how she got humbled.
Too bad she still managed to get a happy ending when Ellie cut her down and let her bite her fingers off whilst sailing off with Lev leaving Ellie with nothing.
This game favors Abbys revenge way too much.

For me the story was ok and the moral its simple "redemption brings more redemption" . Im still mad the fact that joel died in the very first introduction of the game but you gotta admit , this isn't a bad game at all. And there are a lot of people who hate abby for killing joel . You still need to remember the fact that joel killed not only the cure of this infection but also someones father . At the start abby only wanted revenge so the started bulking up , taking every training serious , even ignoring the romance between her and Owen . You can see a big character change in abby since she found Lev. After seeing that the kid lost his loved ones she didn't let him become what she became over the years. I don't know...tell me your thoughts about the game and the story in the comment section.

Mhm, I think people are dismissing it because they were expecting more fan service but it's actually pretty well written. I'm disappointed Joel died of course, still enjoyed the game
Actually, it doesn’t make sense for Ellie to have been at the hospital in the first place, well one reason is that they need a cure and Ellie is the cure, but the vaccine they were trying to make wouldn’t have worked. Vaccines only work on viruses, the infection in TLOU2 is about fungi, cordyceps. So the vaccine wouldn’t work.
He killed the doctor to save Ellie, it’s not like it was cold blooded. They were going to kill Ellie without even waking her up and letting her decide for herself. They took her away when she was unconscious from almost drowning and went straight into surgery! Like wtf, they didn’t even let her wake up and understand the situation first. They could have explained it to both of them (Joel and Ellie) at the same time and let Ellie decide. Avoiding the whole situation in the first place, but no, they decided to take a young girl (who is basically Joel’s daughter now) and kill her while she’s unconscious. So honestly they deserved what they got, you can’t be mad that Joel killing someone else’s dad to save his daughter because that someone else’s dad put them selves in that situation in the first place. Idk about you, but if I had to kill someone’s father because that father is going to kill someone I love and care about, I’m not feeling sorry about that. I don’t care. Maybe you shouldn’t try and murder people and turn around and say “oh but it’s for a cure” murder is murder.

I found this theory on how the ending of last of us part 2 is actually good...
basically when Abby and Ellie are fighting at the end of the game u can see that Ellie is not wearing Dina's bracelet
then when she comes back to the farm if u look closely she's wearing the bracelet again hinting that she might of went with Dina and JJ back to Jackson but since the shot was more focused on Ellie's fingers that she lost we did not realize
and if u think about it Ellie would of called out for Dina's name and would of been worried because nothing was left in the house other than Joel's stuff so we are guessing that Ellie only went back to the farm after moving away to say her final goodbyes to Joel... I hope this is true it would really make the game a lil better

Can we all just appreciate how detailed and realistic these models are on a 7 year old console?
I love how the changing of Ellie's hair style throughout the years perfectly symbolizes her descent from innocence to borderline-madness. Back in the events of the first game, when she was still new to the world outside of the quarantine zone, she had it pulled back in a neat ponytail. At the beginning of part II, after estranging herself from Joel, it's done up in a more loose bun. After being traumatized by seeing Joel tortured and killed, she wears her hair more wildly in a loose top knot. And in the final chapter of part II, when ptsd and an unhealthy obsession with revenge have nearly ravaged her life, her hair is completely unravelled, reflecting the state of near-madness she had been driven to by that point. Truly one of the most amazing stories of all time.
I'm sure others have noticed that Ellie (Seattle) has Tess's hairstyle. That hit my heart so hard.

They literally ignored character traits they showed in the first game. Like what happened to Joel and Tommy, they'd never be so stupid to let their guard down and tell everyone their real names and location of their settlement.

Gheleon Joel saved her and she offered to save Joel and Tommy. Obviously she wasn’t planning on saving them, but they didn’t know that. U see in that scene, they say that they’ll never make it back to Jackson with the horde following them, so they had no choice other than to go with Abby. But I do agree when they get inside Abbys base joel and tommy are a bit too friendly which doesn’t seem realistic. I think Joel would’ve followed her, but he would’ve been weary.
It’s a cool detail how that made Abby in the pillars a lot more skinny and less muscular than before

I have loved character model viewers in games since I was a kid, glad Uncharted 4, and TLOU2 jumped on the bandwagon because these character models are fucking incredible.
Have anyone realised that in young ellie's model, the one we control in the summer flash back in ellies birth day, doesn't have the tattoo on her right hand, and that secuence happends 1 year after they settled in Jackson? At the beggining of the game where Joel sings "future days", when arround 2 weeks happened after Joel and Ellie settled in Jackson, Ellie DID have the tattoo on her hand. Gues it was a little mistake of the character designers and the timeline, but anyway the game is amasing

I wish Abby and Ellie just had a final moment to talk maybe then both being so tired they just lay on the water and they talk or something so simple as Abby saying “Thank you” or “I’m sorry” at the end I think Dina and Ellie should have had a better ending I know the game is about taking revenge to far and paying for it later but Ellie got out with nothing good in the end her almost perfect life with Dina is probably gone and who knows if she returns to Jackson I think they did Yara dirty she should not have died they duo of Lev and Yara was amazing but Abby taking the spot after Yaras death was just so weird they only knew Abby for about 2 hours max total

Andromeda is Coming yeah the game almost gave us a somewhat good ending with Ellie living on that farm but they took that away from her also and Abby did lose a lot of friends but she got to keep Lev alive meanwhile Ellie traveled super far just to let Abby go and lose everything

The game was great. Yeah they put us in abby’s shoes to know her story. What i dont like is that we fight ellie as abby. It should’ve been the other way around since abby still wins the fight in the first one
Edit: I dont like the fact that we play as abby for 10 fucking hours. It shouldve been 5 hrs only
Tbh I'm not mad cause they made us play with Abby (actually I'm kinda mad).....but I'm mad mostly because we didn't get (as Ellie) our revenge when Abby got her revenge and walked away with it.....Not to mention that all this Abby thing happened cause in the first one we killed the most random npc in the game history....ONE OF THE DOCTORS 😂😂😂
Well they both gave mercy in both they are both great people.

For me personally, I liked Abby's campaign as it shows her true character where is really isnt a bad person. I honestly feel bad when I saw how dead inside and skinny Abby is when she was on the pillar. She was willing to let go of what she said to Ellie about seeing her again or else she's dead as long as she survives with Lev. But Ellie is still so driven with anger and stubborness. Good thing she finally let go of Abby in the end knowing Joel would have wanted her to stop anyway.

@@themoody1899 Having short hair is not a bad thing, but when looking at the way it is cut and how she looks overall, having her hair cut off was probably not a choice: the Rattlers must have cut her braid off as a way of humiliating her, and almost taking away a part of her identity since she can no longer express herself through the way she wears her hair.
The Moody Any woman that grows her hair that long and keeps up the braiding that Abby does clearly loves her hair. However small a thing it is, it’s something she invested a long time growing out and taking care of. It’s a great nod to how Abby literally reached her lowest point and had almost every point of pride taken from her at this point. Showing her head all chopped up from her braid being forcibly cut from the root is just brutal

It hurts so much to Ellie so sad at the end of the game because she lost everything that ever made her happy she gave up on everything I need to know where she went too after the game to be happy
