Really cool video and a simple project. I will be making one of these for my puppy. Just a quick tip: pre-drilling the holes will prevent the wood from cracking.

Good video. Just a tip pre drill the holes with a smaller bit than the screw on the wood so it doesn’t split. The 1X is prone to splitting. Cool project, I’m making one today

This training platform is different than your "Shaping Box'. This is more like the " Klimb" box. Which do you feel is better to teach the Stand Stay with?????????? Enjoyed the videos!!
You can teach the stand stay without a climb bench if you like. Any option would be fine. :)
The ASTRO turf simply won't hold up to the new england weather. What if I used 'spray can' bed liner (aka rhino liner for a truck bed) instead of ASTRO turf?
If it works, it works! I'd say give it a shot and see how it goes. :)

Holy crap, I never finished this informative video. I do have an inflatable climb bed for Odin. We use it for training away from home but mostly for camping.
Nice! I'm assuming the inflatable climb for Odin is strong enough that he can't pop it. Lol

I feed my dogs raw, which helps with their coat. Can you please provide details? Some people need more in depth information as this is our first time working with lumber. You listed the total amount of wood needed but didn't give exact measurements of how those pieces should be cut. Why can't you just list for us the measurements individually of the legs, board, and support pieces?
I was wondering where to find the scent detection training videos of Harley the service dog? Please advise.
She ended up going back home to her owner before doing scent detection with her. I only have the scent detection series with Arih. :)
@@NateSchoemer I am training my 2nd service dog Valor. My 1st Service Dog Hoss, I trained myself as well. He actually had a gift with medical alert & I never had to train him with scent training. He would block me when I was first walking after being in a wheelchair 4 years. My doctors had me wear a heart monitor & had me push a button everytime he would block me. As my doctor suspected my Heart rate was over 200 each time he blocked me. It only lasted a short time then back to normal. Do you think I could train Valor with mouth swabs when my heart rate goes up and my BP drops? I assume my 1st Service Dog smelled something.
my home depot wouldn't cut the 4x4 to the length that was needed. "company policy" also was going to charge me .50 a piece after the first two cuts on the other pieces.
Sounds like Lowes is the answer. Lol

Yes, but that can be more difficult. When the platform is elevated, it makes it easier for the dog to learn. :)

I glued the entire top of the platform the the artificial rug. The spray was just water as directed by gorilla glue. :)
