Around 2:10 you say “as is common for both Ireland and Leinster, Murray is at 5m and Earls is at 15m” or something like that. Did u mean Munster instead of Leinster? Signed A. Pedant
No, I meant Ireland & Leinster as the set up of having 9 on the 5m and 14/11 on the 15m is common (very common for Leinster) for those teams. I’ve not worded it as well as I might though!

It’s funny how Ireland scored a try from line out agent’s France, that I don’t think was planed but Ireland and France go back plan and bought team score two of the best try’s off the line out if seen in a wile. Zammit try of tournament from a Irish fan
Well done Geraint.......some great stuff. Sadly, as an Englishman, a quicker No.8 would have got to Earls, and I think Billy is done in the back-row. If he wants to continue at Test level he should move to loose-head. Fair play to Earls though, finishing that off at 33.
Firstly Ireland were fortunate to win the ball at the line out. Best tries are not awarded if luck is involved. Lou Zammits try v Scotland best try without a shadow of a doubt.
Interesting comment about luck, Dick. Why do you think Ireland were lucky to win a lineout they planned to win? And do you think there's any luck in the bounce of the ball?
God I love the Welsh accent! But I am always annoyed by the way Welsh and English people pronounce Ireland. It is an island but the name of the country has a fecking R in. Just pronounce the R for feck sake. In saying that though I am struck with the realisation that the English at least aren't fond of pronouncing Rs if they're not at the front of words.
I will not talk of the tries but the way you have stroke England playing large with multiples phases with discipline .....the true lack of England It was brilliant I am supporting two teams France and the team that plays against England 😉😆
@@kevinvolf8387 Hi Kevin, I can see that what I said could be misinterpreted: "as is common for both Ireland and Leinster Conor Murray is positioned on the 5m line and Keith Earls on the 15m line". The meaning behind the statement is that the alignment of having the 9 and 14 positioned like that is common for both Ireland and Leinster. I kinda hoped that the fact that they both play for Munster would be obvious enough!
Only works because Earls is allowed to encroach off side as the ball is thrown in. It was a great try but it involves the ref and officials not noticing him infringing at the start.
He wasn’t offside. He’s more than 10m back when the ball is thrown & as the ball hasn’t been caught in the Lineout, he’s all good to encroach as soon as the ball is thrown 👍🏻
@@GeraintDaviesGDD A player is allowed to come forward to take the ball from an overthrow as you say....however if that player does not catch the ball they are deemed to be offside and are subject to be penalised. In this case Earls did not directly catch the thrown ball so if he left the 10m prior to the ball crossing the 15m line he was offside. Correct me if I am wrong! !
@@decko20009 You are wrong I'm afraid. It doesn't matter who catches the ball. The moment the ball leaves the hookers hands any player may leave the lineout and any player may play the ball provided the ball travels beyond the 15m line (as the lineout is over).

havent a clue about half of the technics youre describing but brilluant nonetheless😂greetings from Ireland
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking a look 🙏🏻
No Rees - Zammit against Scotland it was amazing try.
That was incredible wasn't it! I covered that try my Rees-Zammit video, which you might like to check out! This one is pretty special too!
@@GeraintDaviesGDD Yeah and against the quickest players in world rugby .
@@Red-Revolution708 I'm a massive LRZ fan so would happily see his try voted best! I went for Penaud's try just because of the utter perfection of the play!
@@GeraintDaviesGDD ah ok the way it is now, it sounds like Murray and Earls are Leinster players, but you’ve cleared it up, thanks!
@@Chadleyization I should've added a note to the screen when I was doing the final edit as I did think that at the time!
@@GeraintDaviesGDD it’s obvious you are meticulous with your analysis, and your knowledge of the game is deep, sometimes it’s difficult to articulate that efficiently. I guess that’s why I’m not a sports journalist. Your standard is very high and can only continue getting higher, more power to u! Interested to see your take on upcoming Heineken Cup fixtures, keep up the good work!
That’s very good of you to say! Really looking forward to European rugby, some cracking fixtures!
I have to say, now that Dulin's winning try has to be on that podium now.
I’ve covered that in my new video posted today!
Why? My granny could have scored that try!
Yes
It’s got to be up there!
It’s funny how Ireland scored a try from line out agent’s France, that I don’t think was planed but Ireland and France go back plan and bought team score two of the best try’s off the line out if seen in a wile. Zammit try of tournament from a Irish fan
Rees-Zammit’s get my vote as best finish but that Penaud score was something else!
Penaud or May in the corner for best finish
Both awesome tries! Penaud’s is just so perfectly executed I can’t look past it!
Great team try not just individual class,
It was a really good combination of a few players that's for sure! Lovely to watch!
Yes.
It's certainly top 5 I think!
Yes yes yes
It's got to be up there! The voting is open on the Six Nations website!
Your right it's earls
Penaud try vs England was the best team try whilst LRZ was the best individual try
Yeah I’m in agreement, Rhys 👍🏻
If you liked this one, check out my new video looking at Penaud's try v Scotland!! th-cam.com/video/6JNBeYW4B58/w-d-xo.html
Scotland´s final try against France..not flash but very impressive phases under pressure.?
Yeah quality try & you’re right, loads of patience in the build up!
Scotland fans will somehow claim they deserve the best try of the tournament and that the whole lions' squad should be Scottish.
😂 it’s one of the things I love about the 6N! Every fan wants their team to be highlighted 🙌
Well done Geraint.......some great stuff.
Sadly, as an Englishman, a quicker No.8 would have got to Earls, and I think Billy is done in the back-row. If he wants to continue at Test level he should move to loose-head.
Fair play to Earls though, finishing that off at 33.
Thanks for taking a look, Jack. Yes BV does seem to be lagging a little. I wonder how long it'll be before there's a change for England!
It was a good bit of play but one that would only work once I feel.
You could argue it only needs to work once...
Super 🌟
Firstly Ireland were fortunate to win the ball at the line out. Best tries are not awarded if luck is involved. Lou Zammits try v Scotland best try without a shadow of a doubt.
Interesting comment about luck, Dick. Why do you think Ireland were lucky to win a lineout they planned to win? And do you think there's any luck in the bounce of the ball?
i think it was Penaud's try against England
Yeah me too! Just a perfectly executed try!
Yes
😜
It’s certainly one my favourites!
Best try. No doubt
It was pretty special!
Any try against England is the best try.
There’s certainly a ring to it!
It was a good, training ground try, executed very well. But Zammits try against Scotland was pure brilliance.
Yeah very different tries aren’t they. Rees-Zammit’s finish was pretty special!
Yes by a mile
It's better every time I watch it!
The island of island.
I will not talk of the tries but the way you have stroke England playing large with multiples phases with discipline .....the true lack of England
It was brilliant I am supporting two teams France and the team that plays against England 😉😆
Glad you enjoyed it, Jack!
@Ben Parkes i am not a hater I am honest this for rugby....... in football it s Italy but only when we play against them rest of time I don t care
Best by a country mile.
I do love it! But I think Penaud's gets ahead as it's got more moving parts!
Earls was the best
Murray doesn't play for Leinster.
Of course he doesn’t! That’s a rather odd comment John!
@@GeraintDaviesGDD I think you mispoke and said that Earls and Murray line up as they do for Leinster
@@GeraintDaviesGDD Gotcha
Only works because Earls is allowed to encroach off side as the ball is thrown in. It was a great try but it involves the ref and officials not noticing him infringing at the start.
He wasn’t offside. He’s more than 10m back when the ball is thrown & as the ball hasn’t been caught in the Lineout, he’s all good to encroach as soon as the ball is thrown 👍🏻
Your wrong, never offside. View it again.
@@GeraintDaviesGDD
A player is allowed to come forward to take the ball from an overthrow as you say....however if that player does not catch the ball they are deemed to be offside and are subject to be penalised.
It was beautiful, but best? Almost too fast, and doesn’t have any outrageous skill moment of the sort such lists normally require. The Keenan one where wee nugget outjumped two people a head taller than him for the tapback was also gorgeous. Get the man on the plane to South Africa. Please.
Keenan has had a really good period of time haven’t he. I think he’ll make the plane!
@@GeraintDaviesGDD well…based on my (predominantly English) media diet, the Sarries lads will be on the plane, despite not playing well at top level for a year, and Emgland having ./a 6n mare. On form the spine should be Russell and Hogg, Biggar and Sexton should compete at 10. Faz jr. Is nowhere. Henshaw has a strong case at 12, may lose out to Gat’s anti-Irish bent. Earls, Harris and VDM all had excellent tournies too.
Awj for capt bets should have vlosed, bstween there6 Berne, Ruan and Henso should all get points. Mish was super, Tilpuric i like, Navidi is a good bastard Gbut Berne is in better form.
Earls try
Yes indeed, this video is very much focussed on Earls try 👍🏻
No Louis Rees zammit hahaha the best player
LRZ’s was pretty special too! Hope you enjoyed my breakdown on that try in my video on him 👍🏻
You can not plan a great try like this!
That's interesting David. What do you think they planned instead? Or was there no plan at all?
This is a planned move from the Joe Smidth era with Leinster. Paul O'Connell tweaked it a bit. 😉
No. He didn't. Louis Rees Zammit did. Against Scotland.
Great to see that try voted number 1 today. Hope you enjoyed my analysis of it in the video I made focussed on LRZ 👍🏻
No....Louis Reece Zammit was simply head and shoulders better
Hope you enjoyed my analysis of that try too, Vincent 👍🏻
No. Rees-Zammit did.
His was pretty exceptional (I've covered it in detail in my video dedicated to him)! I do think his is the best finish. But Penaud's v England (covered in another video) wins it for me!
That voice. Can you like read the news or bedtime stories or something? 🤤
😂 Always keen on a bit of storytelling!
The adorable Welsh accent really distracts from the content. :D
Ha well I glad you like it!
NO!
Who's your money on?
@@GeraintDaviesGDD Hogg v Wales, Zammit v Scotland, All of Dupont's tries..........All of the tries v England........
All quality tries 👍🏻
No..
Solid!
