You learn to love taxis when an entire game does not have them.
(Why Kurohyou, why.)
Wait, does it really not? Why the hell would they do that lol
Yeah, there's no taxis at all except for ONE SINGULAR POINT in the story and it's only for the purpose of plot.
It's tedious as hell lol i hate it.
In another note it seems that item boxes return to be hideout exclusive. Which is also annoying on it's own right.
3:20 is still the best song from Persona 5
Correct
I adore the 10x faster menus that came with the dragon engine
The inventory system in 6 and I think kiwami 2 is my favorite part. I hated only being able to have like 15 items. Being able to stockpile a few of everything was awesome
I especially like it because I like having dumb stuff in my inventory like Mountain Dew in (I think?) Yakuza 0 lol
2:52 kurohyou 2 already did that
I can't wait to play the Dragon Engine titles after I plat Kiwami, they seem really immersive with the city
Great changes in my life: Subscribing to this channel.
Truly a turning point, am I right?
@@SnowiestAngeman it is.
You can save from menu in Ishin btw edit : Yes Ishin introduces sprinting to
Well there you go people should talk about it more. Was the Equipment tab an Ishin thing too? Or was that actually a 0 thing?
@@SnowiestAngeman Ishin thing to not as big though im pretty sure
That final message reminded me to subscribe to this amazing youtuber
Real veterans watches the cutscenes on their second playthrough
Very true
Agreed. My second Playthrough was Legend mode Actually for 0. And I'll do the same Kiwami 1. I've played Yesterday a bit. Goddamn I gotta get used to the XP instead of money. And get used to small amount of money too. Also they could have simply just add XP but you still have the 3 Options Brawler, Rush and Beast. But did this Interesting thing for Health and stuff. It's just me being so used to 0's things.
@@MariusBoss11458 I'm also currently playin kiwami 1 aiming for 100% completion but that damm mahjong is gonna give me some nightmare I can already tell and of course I will finish all of the side content so I can fight amon on kiwami it was said he's not an easy boss so I'll take those odds but nothing is as fearsome as the boss from the final chapter lol this is pure torture.
@@TheRealGuywithanEyePatch I will do the same. Holy damn I'm having so much fun! The main Story Objective is to go to Bachuus. So you can tell the Bartender where Ares is. Every time I hear Bachuus I go "HEY! BOIIII!" Now I haven't watched Y6 but I've seen the others except 5, 6 and 7. And there's memes of if Kiryu walked out the events of that game wouldn't happen. Well it looks like I'm doing just that. There's just so many damn Substories and I got the Finder from Bob too. I dunno if I'm gonna play for 100 Hours again thoe.
@@MariusBoss11458 lol I've just hit 50 hours of gameplay on kiwami now it may not have as much side content as 0 but they are still enjoyable
Amazing video as always! You should do a video rating or comparing the karaoke in each game, song list wise or mechanically
Also is it just me or is the karaoke in LAD horribly off beat?
I dunno what it is with Like a Dragon's karaoke but I noticed that for some reason that the audio balance of the singing to the instruments is really bizarre for some songs, as well as some weird stuff like English Hell Stew having misplaced harmonies for Ichiban's version. So I dunno, maybe there are even more issue with it haha but I don't feel it's too different from 6 or Kiwami 2 haha
I like to think that the reason why you weren't able to save anywhere in Y0 is because in the Yakuza games, you save with your phone and cellphones hadn't existed yet in Y0, so phone booths were your only option. You were able to save anywhere you want from Y1 and onwards because your character owns a cellphone.
Am I the only one who didn’t know you could call the taxis from anywhere in yakuza 7?
Don’t feel bad there were a couple other people in this comment section that were the same hahaha
we love kanrai
we love kanrai
also i kinda hate the inventory in 6 and k2 bc its p overpowered, i kinda like the inventory management type thing where u need to decide what u wanna carry, but ig in 0 u only really need medicine or sushi lol
it works for 7 tho
Yeah I agree it is overpowered haha but I still like being able go to a shop and not have to worry about a full inventory or something like that
Im waiting for the look back buttom
For me, the best change was in Yakuza 6, they made the achievements actually possible. Specifically losing the forced Mahjong and Shogi...
Crane being less Underpowered? Nah that's an Understatement, Crane goes fucking hard, now. I fucking love it.
but seriously Lost Judgement QTE that have to press in a sequence is the worst change i failed so many times
Why did Yagami become friends with Kim-san from Beef Zone anyways while there was always the chad Kanrai
We've always gotta support small business, after all. Although Kim spams text messages so maybe Kanrai deserves the support more
I don't know if this qualifies as a "great" change, but while I'm still in the early game of Judgment, I've noticed that if there's too many damn people in the way of where you're running, you can get around them by running on top of cars and jumping off the other side.
Well, it's a pretty FUN change I suppose
welcome to japan
Hey look he's back how was your brake buddy?
I wasn't gone for that long, was I? It was good though I suppose just had to catch up on uni work and that made my brain too cooked to make videos haha
@@SnowiestAngeman for normal people it was only a week, but to us Chad joon-Gi Han gamer fans it felt like eternity
@@SnowiestAngeman Understandable just want to know if you were okay and don't worry about it
Thank you for the concern gamers :) I will have another video soon though so there will not be a big break haha
"Unless you're on PC"
T_T
kanrai, Rai means paradise/heaven in Russian and some other Slavic languages
Yo BASED Russian?
@@SnowiestAngeman I don't follow but I do speak Russian if that's what you mean
@@JoCaTen I'm saying Russian is a great language because Kanrai is basically paradise haha
@@SnowiestAngeman it's a gift from my family. I'm Greek pontic, roots from Georgia/Russia.
Thanks to them I can speak Russian and a bit of Turkish. I cherish and value it as Russian is an important language. Kanrai is a neat spot to dine in. Ate all my money in Yakuza 3 but that's that
Currently playing lost Judgment, Played half of the Yakuza games and never noticed Kanari being that good of a restaurant . How does even someone pick up on that 😆
Kanrai was just conveniently the place I'd always go to in Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 whenever I needed to heal and I just sorta realised that it's a way better restaurant than like every single other one lol
@@SnowiestAngeman For me, I just earn money and use healing items. Rarely did I ever use Restaurants except on Yakuza Like a dragon when they added the sketches which I loved to watch.
Currently playing through 5 first time and if there is one thing I hate it's the taxi spots, some more terrible than others but Sotenbori definitely takes the cake, come on... 4 taxi spots at each side of the two bridges
i dont like how in the western version of Yakuza 0/Kiwami the sprint button and talk/enter building button are both X, so when youre running towards someone you want to talk to you need to quickly stop holding X, and press X again. in the Japanese version you could keep holding X and just press O.
Yeah one of those weird situations that get caused by Japan and the west for some reason swapping their select and cancel buttons hahaha
@@SnowiestAngeman they couldve just made O the sprint button
@@VSaccount or click in the left stick to toggle it like most games haha. At least in Judgment and onwards they let you press R2 to toggle sprint as well
hell yeah I hate those fucking elevators in korean BBQ places, amazing improvement 10/10
I just wish the old combat came back it had so much variety (6 needed better combat)
I'd say Judgement has enough variety. There's two styles, jumping off walls, hopping over enemies, and a heat meter equivalent.
Kiwami 2 basically had the combat 6 should have but it still was lacking being able to throw guys into walls.
Playing Y1 and 2 is painful because Kanrai isn't in them
That's the REAL reasons why the Kiwami games are better
4:43 Big one for me.
It's awesome it makes fights more fun when you get rewarded for doing something special like taking no damage during a fight. Also, hello again, CyricZ :)
It's hanrai, tho I didn't notice
Nice video and the 90% unsubbed viewers is something I can relate with😢
I feel you man. Something I find funny too is that for the first few days the analytics of a video bug out and it'll say that 100% of viewers are unsubscribed. Dunno if it happens to you or not haha
@@SnowiestAngeman bro it happens to me too much, like is TH-cam being for real about it or not😹
