The old lady Michiyo selling divine water is actually a fun idea, considering the fact that in LAD, she said that she got better thanks to Ah-Ha water from Yakuza 0
I exactly got reminded of the Ah-ha water in 0 as soon as I saw the "divine water"
I love how Tesso is overselling the food like Zhao is gonna kill anybody Liumang that dares to say his food is not better than michelin star food even though the Yakuza LAD guys and 2 of the guys genuinely enjoy the food

To be honest, upgrading her to Senior Executive and training her to 30/30 allows Tome to run even a fully decked out Ichiban Senbei alone

I knew that you'd see kashiwagi when you went to survive and i was expecting to see some sub story characters from the last game but zhao caught me completely off guard. It was awesome they brought these characters back and on the slim chance they make another game i hope to see more or even mainline yakuza characters like ichibans ad playing on tvs in kamurocho.
That ad idea is very subtle but effective, I like it!
Another good idea is because the only place that u can enter to buy ichiban's goods is at the confections, if u have LAD save file in your memory, the ads playing will be the same as the state ur business mini-game is for example, if the mini-game is abandoned, there will be no secret ads, if u can go to top 100 it'll show you the first ads, and if u could go to for example top 20/10 the ads will show you the ichiban holdings ads instead, neat right?
I like that even though Ichiban is the party leader, everyone still has their own lives, like with Zhao still leading the Liumang

Man, my friend told me that one of the party members makes a cameo in this game. I got to this part and saw Zhao cooking and immediately knew who he was talking about. Best cameo by far.

I love the 'Cold Noodles' thing is still a running gag for Kashiwagi. My man survived a dubious CIA helicopter attack, he deserves to retire running his own bar. It's still interesting how he never got pulled back into the Tojo Clan all this time unlike Kiryu.

For those who were in denial, this video confirms that the Judgment series is chronologically connected to the Yakuza series.
Indeed. I cringed when some fans insisted that Judgment happens in an alternate reality. Yeah, no. In the first game, they already made so many references to the Yakuza games (especially through the Tojo). I don't get how people still assumed that both franchises aren't connected.

Judgment is like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story where they’re spin-offs but it’s connected to the main projects. So, both Judgment games is like Yakuza 6.5 and Yakuza 7.5.

I love how RGG gave both the Judgment series and LAD a different look, even if both are running on the Dragon Engine. Judgment and Lost Judgment look realistic (like Y6), while LAD looks a little more cartoony. It also reflects on the cameos (like Zhao, who looks so good as a "realistic" character). They probably decided to make Ichiban's adventure look more cartoony because it's a JRPG.
The divine water goes way back! Michiyo called it “AH-HA divine water” in Yakuza:LAD. Kiryu can fund the AH-HA drink for a million yen back in Yakuza 0. Dude probably jump started that franchise back at the 80s.

In the English dub, Zhao’s voice actor does a lot of additional voices in the background. This made me wonder if Zhao was gonna make a cameo or something. When he did I got really excited but then he didn’t even speak.

Judgment 3 will be but soon since Judgment 2 got positive reviews and the sales is good so SEGA got their money and they keep the project running

It is maybe the same universe but don't expect too much.
sadly that is mostly due to how expensive his voice actor is to make him voice in the game. So they had to cut corners to making his cameo a silent cameo type thing.

@@yof2210 RGG Studios really don't pull any punches when it comes to getting VAs, them getting Takeshi Kitano out of all celebrities is still the most impressive yet.
Getting George Takei for the English VA old man Arakawa is also impressive.
Very weird because Behind the Voice Actor website just spoils Zhao’s cameo.
I was so caught off guard when I first saw Zhao. I didn't mind that he couldn't speak, his presence was already enough, cooking for the boys after a well fought battle 😂
Also not a cameo per se, I was pretty excited to get inside Geomijul. I was half expecting to see Seong-hui or getting inside the monitor room, but seeing her men was already enough. I mean, we even get inside the area where we face *you know who* in Y7! That alone made me pretty happy as well. I'd say that in the cameo and references department, the game was very satisfying

Yeah I’m satisfied with what they did too. I loved all the cameos and how a lot of the story hinged on the fallout from what happened in LaD, but none of that stuff ever took the spotlight away from the judgment-exclusive characters
It's not really a major cameo or anything, but the Mama at Earth Angel is still the same Mama whose been working there since at least Yakuza 2

Kashiwagi didn't have his own family. Instead, he became the second patriarch of Kazama's family.

It's a small world, and that's what I like about the Yakuza series and its spinoffs.
I think originally they wanted to make the Yakuza series and the Judgement series set in two completely different universes but when they were making lost Judgment they were probably all like “Fuck it let’s just have them both exist in the same universe” 👍
They never set in a different universe even in first judgment, yet somehow there is some denial on Reddit even though the evidence is literally in your face.

Another underrated cameo is Gomi, the quest giver "One Man's Trash..." in Like A Dragon. You can visit and buy & sell in his store in Lost Judgment

They would probably fight out of fanservice. Yagami can definitely take Ichiban on and even win. Kiryu...lol at most he'd probably just respect Yagami's drive after obliterating him

and there that's their interaction, no team up to unwrap a big conspiracy, no getting Kiryu involved (for a certain reason), no bonding events, just that whole small interaction.

She’s not in the game because she’s got the face of a real person and they didn’t get the rights for someone who would just stand there, but damn her replacement looks like a ps2 character
Also In LaD: Infinite Wealth... (I forgot the names), Mr orange hair with mask man and Computer fella appears at the survive bar 'cause they were hired, but they are just sitting and then leave with no trace

It´s been 2 years and i´m unsure if you´ll read this but i´d be pretty stoked if this message actually gets across:
In the survive bar, if you open the door, then step outside, you can get your drone out and then steer it inside survive bar. Guess what? The invisible wall that blocks off the back room? It only applies to yagami. You can go up and take a couple screenshots. Its all there.
Yakuza 7 references judgment on one of the sidequests with the Ono michii costume, ichiban becomes next to Don it after yagami, though yagamis name isn't explicitly mentioned

Even though it’s a Sega reference than Yakuza. In “Why I don the Costume” side case, when Muroi asks Yagami if he know Kamulop’s name. One of the answers is Segata Sanshiro. The man who tell everyone to must play the Sega Saturn.
I played Lost Judgement before LAD so I had no idea who this was. This also explains why I couldn't find Yagami's office in LAD lol
Don't forget that Kashiwaghi is a bartender in Survive.

Me seeing zhao made me scream like a girl through out the game I was hoping to see ichiban or any of the main cast but since non showed up early on I though ah guss it ain’t happening and then boom he shows up in my face

Its not a visible one but my sister discovered kiryus version of Baka Mitai playing in one of the restaurants
in kaito's dlc maybe we have a great chance that kaito's story that his adventure will leads a crossover with yakuza character and protagonist either: (akiyama, date, kiryu, saejima,daigo,watase).

I doubt we're gonna see Akiyama. Last time we saw him was in Yakuza 6.

They should of had Zhao as a playable character. He is said to know many styles of Kung Fu. I think in essence of deadly beasts he knows crane, tiger, snake and mantis.
This is quite a stretch but the cold noodles in Kashiwagi's shop could be a reference to the stuff he was eating in Yakuza 0 when you first see him with Nishiki

for me it began all last year with yakuza like a dragon ,now i played all available yakuza franchise titles on xbox.the last two ones was judgment and lost judgment , i really enjoyed lost judgment has also his funny moment made in heaven ,the boxing coach. what a masterpiece, but now its time for a new yakuza next year , cant wait, i would like go back to onomichi or fukuoka and i miss revelations .420 peace from germany

Honestly, before this game came out, I heard rumours that Ichiban would cameo in this game. Lmao, that would've been cool.
Lost Judgement is such excellent game, so much so that it would be a shame if a third one doesn't come out. That would only leave the Yakuza sequels that I won't play do it's unnecessary change in gameplay beat em up to JRPG.

They really doubled down on some of these cameos after explicitly avoiding them in Judgment lol. I wonder if there’ll ever be some kind of crossover. Not that it’s necessary.

I don't get the Zhao cameo. I haven't played Lost Judgement yet (not planing to, honestly), but didn't he leave the Liumang? Like to the point where he was basically exiled from the gang? Meaning that while he could still potentially be friends with some of the guys there, he's no longer a "higher up"?
I recall Zhao did hand over Liumang leadership to Seong-Hui, but doesnt remember that he officially leave Liumang for good. Besides, even if he did leave Liumang, it comes to show that Liumang members still regards him as a superior probably because he was a respectable leader, just like how some of the Yakuza members, regardless omi alliance or tojo, still respects Kiryu and gave him special privileges despite Kiryu was out of the Yakuza for a long time.
