Worth noting in the comparisons with the Ether map that much of the content has been renamed or changed after similarities or direct copying was pointed out from the Aether mod. Comparing them these days doesn't necessarily illustrate accurately why there were issues with the map. It has changed enough and enough stuff has been renamed that now there isn't any real issue beyond it being a pretty shoddy map with a tonne of bugs and lazy content.
Also the remaster contains all the content from the Aether mod, all the content listed that isn't added is from the mod's in-development sequel, Aether II
The bedrock version didn't just rip off the aether either. Their snake seems like it was ripped straight out of Twilight Forest (the java mod). The maze design is near-identical to their naga's dungeon, and the snake mob looks rather similar, even if colours and behaviour were changed.
Edit: JUST got to the point where it was mentioned in the video. I wasn't expecting it to be mentioned, and saw the link as soon as the bedrock mob was displayed.
I genuinely thought this is a popular channel because of the production quality, can't wait for you to pop off!

I wish they kept updating aether II genesis of the void, that’s my favorite version of the mod
I thought there was a aether dragon in the mod
Would like to see the dev's port this mod to the Fabric loader. Having this mod Forge only is excluding a majority of Minecraft players since a huge amount of mods are now Fabric. I would lose 90% of all the mods I use switching to forge. And also with optifine dropping the ball on most updates More people use fabric for the Sodium mods that do optifin's job 100 times better.
Absolutely, was hoping to use Replay Mod for some of the footage in this video but couldn't due to it being Forge only

This was such a disappointing video. I've never seen such a poorly researched video on such an interesting topic. There's a plethora of issues in this video, but here are just a few that I caught:
#1 You don't know the difference between the Aether mod and the Aether II mod. They very different, (the updated version is not missing anything from the original, you're thinking about things in the Aether II)
#2 1:21 The mod was updated to a different version once, beta 1.7.3 to 1.0.0. Eventually a team made the "Aether Legacy" mod because "Aether II" was getting updates at the time. They updated it to 1.7.10, then 1.11.2, finally 1.12.2 before the original team took it to 1.19 and 1.20
#3 1:40 1.12.2 was never "the final version of the Aether," the Aether II team found the legacy team and started working with them.
#4 2:45 there were green and yellow grasses in the original mod, you're thinking of the Aether II again.
#5 4:03, the mod was inspired by the "Sky Dimension" Notch was teasing on twitter at the time. KingBDogz used the sky dimension code to generate the dimension. The End was implemented instead of the sky dimension. The end was very much not inspired by the Aether. Like, at all.
#6 8:05, this is framed as something shady, this is how bedrock maps work. Not much too it.
#7 9:38, again Aether II thing. Yes, it looks like it was stolen... From a different mod.
#8 14:05, no they didn't they were working on the Aether II, then updating the Aether to 1.19.
#9 15:21 -> end, nothing's missing, you're confusing your mods AGAIN.
This could've been a cool video, instead it was just drama about that stupid map and a little research to call it a "history" video. Literally, please, I'm begging you get someone to look over your script. I will do it for free! Just get someone to fact check you because you are making good looking, high quality videos!
My bad. I used the Aether Wiki to help research and it didn't differentiate Aether and Aether II content. That caused most of the issues you listed.
For #6, yes that is how Bedrock works, but the map listing claims to add a custom dimension which is does not.

The theory that The End is the Aether kinda upsets me. If this theory is true it means that Notch took the Aether, stripped it down to a boring void with a single barren island and somehow thought it was on par with if not better. I would've preferred if he had just adopted the Aether into being an official feature if that's the case.
