I absolutely love my 7'0 Boss up. Im 6'5. Goes great even in 1 foot if a little shape n push. Can speed pump rail to rail easily and turns super easy. Not like a shortboard but just slows everything down a bit n more forgiving n paddles great. Love the longer rail line n pulled in tail as you can just lay into it n holds. Those waves Wooly surfed were super wonky, windy, sectiony. Not easy to surf. He did a great job.
That''s the impression i got from the video. The board looks to have no "wow factor" in the video. The surfer in the video appears to work too hard to get the board going and to harmonize the board with the wave. The board in the video actually looks slow & lumpy for its size. I can't describe it. The rails appear to lack feel. The rails look too thin or knifey rather than a rail than can be laid up & driven a little for feel. Based on the video, I'd have no inclination to buy this board.
I'll put in a vote for this board - got a 6'10 3 months ago and haven't ridden any of my shortboards since, only my groveller if its small and bumpy. In clean down the line waves the Boss Up is great, feels like I can hold it on rail longer than a shortboard, and really push. And just relax a bit more than on my 5'7. The fun of just going strait on a mid or longboard doesn't translate into good viewing unfortunately.
To be fair I did ride the Big Baron a lot and really found my groove on that one, the Boss Up I only rode for the review. As I learned it, I improved on the board and I think if I spent more time on it I would get it really dialled in.
The most amazing surfboard reviews channel on the Internet: from great surfing to perfectly chosen music. Love ya mate
Wow, "the most amazing"? Now I’m blushing! Just trying to ride the wave of good vibes, one surfboard at a time!

Thanks! Agree its a good performance mid and does what its designed to do.
Great review, especially with your new drone shoots of you on the waves.
Yeah, I'm trying to get the drone shots to improve the reviews and give you a better idea of how the board works.
Great review Wooly in some challenging conditions yew!
Sure was :)
Love the session with the dolphins!
That was a special day!
The board looks fun and the dolphin footage is epic 😀🤙
Good board for around home.
Thanks for the review! You were quicker than the dolphins!
Nah they out ran me.
Great review! It looked like your daughter had the Mid 6. I'd love to see your review of that too.
Yeah that was the first time it hit the water. That one is on the cards shortly.
I didn’t like mine at all. I couldn’t decide if it felt like a terrible short board or a terrible mid length. I already sold it.

I got a 6'6 its a shortboard on steroids. Shines in good and bad days. Works 2+1 ,tri fin or quad..better than my old mid6...its a keeper
@@sergioleon7771I have a 6'6 as well and really enjoy it 😎🤙🏼
Ones mans trash is another mans treasure, not all boards work for all surfers.
Wooly is right. I’m sure there are surfers out there who love the Boss Up.
How does it compare with a CI Mid? Great review, thanks
A lot more of a performance mid compared to the CI, the CI has a wider nose and more of a cruiser.
I want to see you try out a Cado one of these days as well!
Yeah thats on the cards this year too.
Waiting on the FireWire TJ Twinzer. It’s coming out in a week or two.
Also, middle of this year TJ has another mid length and a hull longboard coming
I have one on the way and will review it asap.

Great review Wooly . Yew !
Stoked you enjoyed it!
How does the HI Mid 6 compare?
Just got one but havent started the review on it as yet, stay tuned.
Riding 7.0 boss up (from star) up here in Carnarvon cause I’m old enough to know “can you tell us where the waves are?”
Ha ha I knew someone would get it.
I wonder how this board compares to the 6’8 big baron that wooly reviewed
They are really different boards even though they are both 6'8" mids.
Thoughts on trying it as a twin?
I’m not sure the front fins would be in the correct spot for a twin but I heard it works well as a twin plus trailer as well as a quad.
@@WoolyTVI love mine as a split Keel! fast flowy and you don’t need to bring the foot back past the front fins!
@ nice!
When's your Pisces review dropping Wooly?
Next in line, will be up later this month.
You would wonder are boards like this still a mid, the more performance and lower liters, I wonder is this still a mid or just called a mid
I am actually drunk while writting these message's so I wouldnt take me too seriously
I think any board thats over 6'6" with a wider nose template is a mid.
banana's ewww 🤙
The best
Open minded 😮 bruddah 🤙🏽
Trying to review everything and anything, even though they aren't my 'normal' boards....
Doesn’t flow like the big Barron Wooly rode

@@WoolyTV What about weight - is the big baron a lot heavier?
@ nah it’s lighter. My one that I reviewed was super light as it was a very early one.
@@WoolyTV Ok
That board looks terrible, even with a good surfer riding it. It looks like he is surfing an RV
@@ProgressiveAF1 😝 it is an RV, it’s 7” longer and 6L more than my normal boards.
