Would be great to hear the environmental impact of running a waves pool, lots of energy required to drag the foil through the water plus water treatment to keep it nice and clear.
I think Kelly hit the nail on the head. As far as competitive surfing goes, the wave ranch because its repetitive will show where a competitor falls short in skill, style and technique.
Sorry interview guy, but not everyone can afford thousands of dollars to surf a machine wave. Typical money excluding place. I wouldn’t want to be around those people anyway they all feel entitled to be there.
What a great day on the job Shawn. Getting time with the GOAT and riding the wave. Probably one of your best assignments ever. Side Note - The world is about to see an explosion of wave parks opening over the next 3 years. All across the USA they will be popping up with Texas being the largest concentration. Across the globe there are so many parks in development.
The interviewer's hand jive is extremely alarming and controlling. Bizarre. Talking with your hands is supposed to soothe your audience, not make them feel attacked.
It’s like 10 thousand dollars for 5 waves hahaha. Anyone who pays to go here is a giant kook. A rich one at that. Thanks Kelly for always thinking of the 1%!

I would love to see Kelly Slater surf Black's Beach or Scripps.
High-season daily rental is around $70,000 while low-season costs are $50,000. Daily per person rate (at 10 surfers) is $5K to $7K.Oct 5, 2023
Ten G’s each for two foot perfect peelers. Totally worth it.
5 heads max. Go doubles every once in awhile.
What is the operational cost per wave?
Whats that book called.? Is it available in Australia yet .?

Hui Kelly, this Hawaiian speaks Arabic and worked in the UAE & now Saudi. Need an Ambassador of Aloha in AbuDhabi?
Nice shirt 👕
The wave isn't that good, it should be a close out and you just go Strait. 😅😊
Why would a wave pool be top secret?

I literally would have come to help film this if you asked. Just sayin
There's a lot more to real surfing than riding waves, and you won't get it there.
Disappointing no scale really not nice people
