Congrats! I got mine December 30th, a manual performance in Seiran Blue. I'm in Canada, so I haven't been able to even test drive it yet. Cannot wait for the spring.

Congrats - I've got number 58 of 240 in the USA and like you I get stopped all the time - do you know what the total distribution was in Australia? Did they do 240 there as well and did you end up paying over sticker price for it? Enjoy!
Congrats bro! At this stage we don’t know how many Nissan Z protos are coming to Australia. They haven’t commented. In Australia dealerships cannot charge more than MSRP for a vehicle unlike dealerships over there. However they still got away with it by upping the shipping cost by an extra $3,000 AUD
@@Coyote350 I got mine 5k over but many dealers asking 90k in Dallas & one auctioned in New Jersey for 115K but rumor is it was #1 of 240 - not confirmed
@@fmarshall63 Definitely higher demand over there. There’s a few Protos for sale here from people trying to re sell them for profit and there not selling.

2nd gear grind?
No second gear grind whatsoever. Why’s that?
@@Coyote350 they are reported to have it quite badly. The manual was recalled in the US. There are concerns they won't recall for AUS since we get the dregs
@@keepcarsfun Dregs? Hopefully they have ironed it out for the Australian model because we did get it quite a bit later. But who knows. Only one way to find out, do some phat launches once she’s run in 🚀
@@Coyote350 possible yeah. Check out TJ hunt and Be distinct channels they both cover the grind and the recall in detail. Throttle house said that by the end of their review second gear was gone altogether..
When I say dregs I mean we get the junk. The 350z and 370z both had second gear grinds on early models that were addressed down the track.
We also get the 8 inch touch ok the new Z and the us gets the 9 inch. Minor stuff but we aren't the market that they care about.
There's a lot of worry about the gearboxes in the new launch zeds.
As someone who has a proto due any day also I worry a lot about the manual recall not being addressed in Aus. Nissan hasn't made comments on it even when pressed.
