At first listening I thought the edifiers sounded better, but listening through my headphones and paying attention I think the klipsh has better sound representation and is meant to have a sub handle the lower frequencies.
Listening on the R1850DB and I freaking love them and mine are "colored different" - meaning I have a Subwoofer connected and I turned down the "MidBass" so I have a V-Shape sound and it sounds good: not to Midbass heavy.
Thanks, great comparison. Both sound good, the front port on edifier probably contribute to the heavier bass, the Klipsch are more dependent on wall placement and angle but i like the imaging as it seems like the music is around me instead of down the hall
Klipsch wins with better highs and cleaner midrange. Edifier has stronger bass. I just ordered the Klipsch prior to listening to this comparison and still happy with my choice.
Both are neither amazing nor terrible, but the Edifiers have slightly more perceived bass while sounding slightly muddier. Might be the room mode resonance between 60 Hz - 70Hz that's muddying the sound. The Klipsch sound somewhat more open and clearer. That said, both should respond well to EQing. Sound wise, can't go terribly wrong with either.
Klipsch roars my ears on high mid-tone just like bronze 2 unpowered. The specific cylindrical cone shape of the woofer creates a standing wave which amplifies false sound in higher registers, it gives the illusion of space and in the long run it is tedious like a church mass
I would pick Edifier! They feel complete. Klipsch are clear but lacks body. Adam A7X would be extremely exciting to hear :)) Thanks a lot for your work!
Klipsch R-41PM suenan mejor, depende la pista, los elijo por poco. Edifier R1850DB hacen un buen trabajo por el precio, los acompañaría con un pequeño SubW.
Klipsch is just so so far away from the source track... Glad I didn't spend 3000 dollars on a Klipsch theater setup I have been planning.... Not worth it if its going to sound so unnatural...
I bought edifier, I'm not any audio expert, but unfortunately, Edifier don't have a good highs, and mediums looks completely lose. Including when I adjust the bass and treble. Has a poor results. You may need to adjust bass and treble in almost every song. Because jou can't switch easy from jazz, to metal, to reggae ,etc... fastly. Because ecualizer isn't enougth dynamic. I'm seriously thinking to buy Klipsch sounds better and look like very equilibrated without any adjust.
Can someone tell me what will be better in terms of sound quality, edifier r1855db + sub edifier t5 or edifier s360db. There is no opportunity to listen in advance, but I plan to buy something of the two quiet options. The room is small, 10 sq. m. There is not a lot of space on the table, so I don't consider something larger in size
If you can afford it, get the S360DB without hesitation; not only it has much nicer treble drivers (the speakers for highs), but it's also perfectly tuned to integrate everything as good as possible. The subwoofer is the same as T5 but „tuned” to precisely integrate with the rest, the satellites are designed for the exact amount of oomph without needlesly trying to put out muddy low bass; 185x's are trying (and pretty well succeeding, but with compromises) to be full spectrum, which kinda makes them bigger than what is needed for the superb performance of the S360DB's. And if money is an issue (because frankly, I personally would strech my wallet to afford the S360DB, while 1850 are more affordable even with the supplementary T5), then try to look for the previos model: S350DB; sure, the new one is a bit tweaked, but the old one still is way better than almost any other Edifier 2.0 + T5 combo, except the S1000/S2000/S3000 series.
@@XtremeAudiophile i just recently compared the 1700, 1855 and the 360 satts side by side. The 1855 was clearly the best one among the lot. Plays so much cleaner, louder and it has the best soundstaging and imaging. People often say that the 1855 sounds like the 1700, which isnt true. The 1855 is a step above the 1700 and the differences are audible when played side by side. Get the 1855 and a good sub, it will outperform the 360 in every way. @@AbsoluteFidelity Thanks, I thought as well the same. I will go with the 1855db and I will add an SVS subwoofer. I hope that the sub out will work fine, I saw some reviews saying that the signal is weak and is not enough to power the subwoofer.

@Joe Parziale sorry Joe, it seems that I just have an allergic reaction to anything hip hop. BTW just recently lost a long time friend over this he had a rap piece on his playlist, so I turned the whole entertainment system off, so he got offended, saying he will never set foot in my house again.I guess it is what it is...

Using my 1850's now with Dayton PSW 80 watts. 1 year of heavy use, Go Edifier
What crossover frequency do you use on the Dayton?
Does the 1850 distort at max volume and max bass?
which inputs are u using to bypass the integrated amp?

The wattage on paper specs is totally different from the actual. 19w vs 70w. Edifier wins hands down. Klipsch highs are over-emphasized

соси) ты поторопился
Is it just me, or Klipsch has excessive highs? Both sound great, but Edifier sounds closer to the source track.
It might be corrected though?

The klipsch speakers have cleaner bass and not muddy like some ported speakers.
The 41 is not a sealed loudspeaker...lol...
listened thru a good pair of headphones after hearing this thru my iphone…the Klipsch sounded better overall imho
If you want to listen to a clean sound, you can get rid of the rust in your ears with klipsch. The one who knows the job chooses klipsch.

Yes, in room the 1850 lack some mids. This is not notable when you listen to them near field on a desk.
