hahaha how!?!?!?!? THe Klipsch was clearly more open and detailed and underperformed side by side the R-41's. I wanted the KEFs for my PC set up but at this price I just cant justify them. If they were half this price then maybe.
I really like the KEF for the design it's really pretty, but somehow the sound could have been more open and could have some air in the upper frequencies. The soundstage is not large either , since they're not studio monitors they should have some more sparkle and air. But they're really great.
I agree, even the bigger LS50 Wireless lack when it comes to soundstage and it’s such a shame in my opinion. Also i think that vocals sometimes get behind the instruments in songs which results in an unenjoyable experience, i’ve been thinking if the KEF is V-shaped or something but that can’t be the case because the treble is not harsh at all. In this video i prefer the KEF LSX because it seems more easy on the ears, the Klipsch have too much energy in the treble
I think the positioning of the tweeter causing the issue IMO, although they could have adjust the upper region around 12k hz by boosting it slightly. I think overall it's the design flaw because somehow low and high frequencies are getting interrupt with each other because they are coming from the same spot which causing less air and narrow soundstage. An engineer said that the soundstage is speaker related not the amplifier or the sound source. I think they might target people who want something as a showpiece I would buy them if I wasn't a serious listener. They just look crazy good
Klipsch is sharper. Kef is warm sounding. I heard with a sub it sounds great. I own kef. The sound signature changes with the source. Spdif /aux/wireless. Spdif sounds clearer. I have no problem in instrument seperation. The vocals make you think you are next to the artist. Recommend near field listening. Btw it's got a dsp which is amazing. Whatever you throw at it the speaker will play. I have seen polk audio and Bose jarr on some songs despite having a sub. Kef is rock solid. Waiting for kef lsx 2. Want to buy it just for the source.
Hi! What about using on a desk, by the laptop, very close to the wall, and ver low voluem listening? Would Kef Lsx I/II still be good choice? Or what do you recommend? Thanks.
LSX is supposed to be a multi-purpose speaker, not just listening musics, that's why its sound is a little flatter and dull than R-41PM, and just for a small room or limit space.
I Need an advise please. I have To purchase a pair of studio monitor for mix and master metal and rock music. I have a room 3meters x 6, partially treatment. I have To choice between: JBL 305 mkii, Adam t5v, krk rokit 5 g4 and Kali audio lp6. Thanx
which one do you prefer personally? i am thorn between this two..i am not sure what i heard i am not an audiophile i just want to listen to music.. but as what i heard when it comes to metal head part the KLIPSCH beat the KEF but the KLIPSCH is so bright that sometimes i think it will hurt your ear. and the KEF is so calm sounding not sure.. am i right?any inputs?
The KEF's have sliightly stronger, deeper bass, yeah..but it's not as clean or real sounding as the RP41pm's bass. I think the Klipsh is the clearer through the entire range. Unfortunately the Klipsh are bright enough to hurt your ears, and their overal balance is less accurate.
KEFF sounds more like a total package and easy on the ears though their sound is a bit too "closed" and the tweeter is not separate and maybe it hurts the sound . I like open sound with natural bass but Klipsch sound a little bit too open and hard on the ears. They both lack something...
Tweeter is separate, it's just coaxial (placed in the middle) which is supposed to reduce interference compared to having a distance between mid and tweeter.
I heard in life personally these speakers and now i know that from thse sound demos you can not judge absolutely nothing. Klipsch sounded really bad, kef was for me better even than naim muso2
I was so close to getting the LSX , but with a setup that has a dedicated subwoofer , it just didnt make sense to go with them. But standalone they do sound great
hi there im very new to the audio stuff, i would like to ask if its ok, between airpulse a80 and s2000mkiii, which one is much better in term of mid to high frequency and vocal clarity(softer) yea, i'm not really focus on the bass quality. These 2 are in similar price range in my country
A80 for sure. The Airpulse series is on another level when it comes to mids and highs, a totally different level. The S2000mkiii will play louder and have more head room though.
@@MrXoxo2 no probs, most of us face these same questions when scouting for new speakers and it hard to know unless we have heard it in real life. If you have not heard these speakers in person, try reading Digital Stereophony's written reviews on his website, then only use these videos to see what he means, not the other way round. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new speakers!
@@DSAUDIOreview ah ok, the kef has a very uniform timbre, you don't feel that the speakers are separate, interesting design, in my opinion the kef is more interesting. Although, in my opinion, both models are missing something.
That's *it* ? The KEF are so expensive I was expecting a much better sound quality... As seems to be in most of these cases, Klipsch's trebles are sharper and very well defined, they sound ready to play along a subwoofer; while the KEF are ok all around even without subwoofer, but man am I disappointed for that price.
Totally, I think is because you might need to buy the sub too, the pair and the sub might cost the same as the KEF. I’d buy the Klipsch with a sub in that sense.

The Fives vs LSX please!!
The fives will walk all over lsx!
Since I can get >4 of the R-41PM speakers for a pair of Kefs I have ordered the the klipschs and will order a sub.
The bass of lsx, which I thought would be weak, is stronger than I thought.
very interesting battle ! like the others : Kef winner !

Naaa klipsch es el mejor
Finally a good sound comp channel! Thank you! Not sure if i should get the klipsch r-41m or Sony sscs5
I have both of them , if you like vocal, keep Sony, if you like exciting sound, keep Klipsch
First! And the KEF takes it!
listening with headset the KLIPSCH sounds clearer to me
THanks, Please do the Kanto TUK next :) pls
I got used to the Klipsch airy bright crisp sound. Love me some air and soundstage.

Kef sounds fuller, but not clear. Lacks seperation to my ears. For the cost difference I'd get the klipsch and run with a sub.
Great tracks btw
Please add to your comparisons.

@@gatila76 lsx 2 is good as you will stop depending on the laptop to stream music. Lsx 1 has spotify and tidal only. Apple airplay also

the klipsch sounds more clearer and flat
like the KEF more for instrumental songs, voiced songs i tend more towards Klipsch. In general i would most likely take the KEF
Klpish wins for hop hop/edm etc. Everything else Kef.
Klipsch Klipsch Klipsch
audio track do not align with in video transition between speaker system...smh!

Definitivamente klipsch lo mejor y más barato
Yes 👍👍 a superb sound test. In my opinion Kef are better
Klipsch killes the lsx in terms of highs and mids, kef kills the klipsch in terms of bass
Klipsch very metallic sound.
KEF better but i dont like the architektur of the membranes. The sound somelike as mono.
The kef is a garbage speaker but the klispch is tuned way to bright on those highs. My god treble is sizzling on that thing.
Toeing out and not being ear-level with the tweeter helps. Otherwise... Yeah, it's a crapshoot.
Think about this kefs are like what twice three times more klips sound the same

Seems like the klipsch sou d brighter.
Klipsch
kef is good like full range speakers but cant take highest tones without tweeter, klipsch is ok but nothing innovative.
KEF has a tweeter in the center of woofer. It is a two way coaxial design
