Yes, at 74, I have been told that I have trochanteric bursitis and trochanteric pain syndrome. I’ve been dealing with it on both hips for the last year. Nothing helped, exercise, physio, stretching, until I found your video. I felt some improvement with the tennis ball drill right after my first try. I found the tennis ball too soft so I switched to a harder rubber Lacrosse ball ($4.99 at Sports Chek) I am in awe! After 5 days, my “bursitis” on both sides is almost non existent! Thank you, I’m so grateful.

I can't thank you two enough! These simple excercises work! I have spent countless hours doing limited mobility excercises, PT, and medication ( which I almost never take), only to find that the tennis ball worked! I had instant relief and more mobility in my hip than I have had in over a year. I also thought the knee bends, which I cringed before doing, would be something I couldn't do. But I did and I felt better too. Sharing far and wide! P.S. Yes I do have flat feet and it's true, I have been overcompensating for years via my knees. I will continue to strengthen and tone and excercise. 😊

I have experienced piriformas syndrome for more than a year, resulting in a painful left hip that was almost atrophied. The stretching exercises prescribed by PT's, chiropractors, and massage therapists did not help at all. Also implemented sitting on a ball to release my extremely tight left glute, but that made things worse and I stopped. I have done this video three times and OMG, I feel almost normal again! The ASMR exercise is revelatory! I felt immediate relief in my hip and glute after just one session. Still have a ways to go, but I can't thank you and Dr. B enough! Your unconventional approach works magic!

What I love is that a surgeon is in the team because, surgery is the favorite diagnosis, for many doctors, even phisios, and surgery if avoided is for the best. Great team.

I come from a medical family in which anyone outside of traditional medical training was referred to as a quack. Now, at age 76, I pretty much avoid doctors like the plague. Especially as I now live in Italy. When you go to your GP, (who never even takes your BP) they give you a Rx and send you to a specialist, who gives you another Rx, and on it goes until you're near death from either a disease, or a syndrome that might have been diagnosed by asking the right questions. The GP I had as a child--the kind that came to your house--was a great diagnostician because he asked questions.
They don't seem to exist anymore. Now doctors are more apt to tell you something than ask you anything. Medicine has made great progress when it comes to pharmaceuticals and surgery. Instinct and thinking have been left behind.

I am 26, born and raised in Italy and sadly everything you stated is true, all the GP does is bounce you between specialists and exams, following what seems to be a procedure that is metodically apllied without any consideration of symptoms and circumstances. I have lost track of the countless Rx's I had to take when it was obvious that the problem wasn't in the bones, as well as I have lost count of the times I tried to carefully explain symptoms to a doctor that simply ignored any information that wasn't the result of an exam. Medicine stops being a truly empirical science if empirical evidence is dismissed in favor of the mechanical application of a formal procedure @@elenalatici9568

I have had pain in my left hip for most of my life, after a car wreck as a passenger at 16 with my knees hitting the dash and knocking my hips out of alignment. Now its been about 35 years ago and the pain is excruciating. I recently found out I have a pinched nerve L5-S1 and "they" say when I get back surgery to release nerve infringement hip will be better and have given me two hip shots that do absolutely nothing. Mri showed no Arthritis and they are not hearing me about how bad it is. I am starting these today with great hope of relief! Thank you!

My doctor wants to do a PRP shot into my hip to treat my bursitis. So glad I came across your video. Used the tennis ball and foam roller last night and for the first time in a while, was able to sleep on the bad hip without any anti inflammatory pills. The tennis ball helped me find the exact location of my hip pain.

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind my questions but I live in Panama and I cannot find anyone to diagnose what is wrong with me. In 6 months I've changed from a remarkable strong and active 70 year old woman to someone who must take great care with physical to avoid bad hip pain. I am basically having to diagnose myself as two specialists have given advice that doesn't help. Your video has helped me more than any other. Your ball exercises made me realize I have very sore knots in my hip joints. So today's question is that my hip pain is now traveling down the sides of my thighs to about 4 inches above my knees where I have very tender knot that I never knew I had. What is the connection with my hip? I am using a foam roller and massage to mitigate?

@@life-mm5do not necessarily and it depends on the person in question. They should be ok for most people if done in a controlled manner.
In general we recommend that people attempt movements but avoid those that cause pain or that they cannot modify to do pain-free no matter how small the movement is.
If you don't perform certain movements then you will lose your ability to perform them over time and those muscles will weaken and cause further issues.

Thanks for this and other great videos👍 Last summer, I lifted some buliding materials and it was monotonous movements. Then the problem with my left hip began. But it began with a couples of days with pain in the achilles' tendon, then the pain moved upward to the hip. Just the same happened 3-4 weeks ago now, after extra pressure on the left hip, i.e. sitting laying on the left side. I had to relieve the left side of my body, caused by rehab period after a subacromion decompression arthroscopy in mye right shoulder in Desember 2022. In the rehab period, my left hip didnt got much movement, it was mostly relaxing until the pain in the left hip began. Because it in both those cases started with pain in the achilles' tendon, could the root of hip pain stem from the heel/achilles' tendon?

Ive been told I have this ,but I have 0 pain while pressing on this area. Only time I have pain is walking up a slope ,walking up steps or ladders, bringing my knee up in any way even to the position of sitting in a chair, bending to put socks or shoes on and also getting into a car or truck. Sometimes takes me 5 min to get in the truck and put my leg in the position to use the brake and gas pedal. Also If I happen to trip on something with the bad leg I get a real sharp pain throughout my leg. Took a couple weeks off work to help things heal a little so seems to be a little better , but when things were at its worst I nearly rear ended cars multiple times , because it was to hard to move my leg to hit the break. I can stand on my one hurt leg and no pain . No pain when I walk unless up heal and no pain pressing on the area. Im doubtful I have this condition , but am hopeful that the exercises and stretches will help no matter the condition. Just hope I dont have to do this for 9 months and find out what im doing is a waste of time and needed to do something else.

@@PrecisionMovementCoach Nice. Watched that video and added some of those exercises to my routine. I am noticing, now that I am paying more attention, my lower right back is constantly sore. This is also the same side as my IT band issues. I dont feel any pain in my hip though
