No, Sweet Girl, you are not the only one who forgets an ingredient or forgets a recipe step. You ARE a content creator who allows yourself to be real. The overly polished overly falsely proud creators would not have allowed that mistake to have been aired. Your willingness to be honest and REAL is just one of your attributes that makes you so very special. Please don’t ever change. ❤️❤️

Yeah, the worst is when I made a special trip to the store to buy that item 😅 or when I chopped it or wtv in advance to be "prepared" and then I find out I didn't even use it. 😮‍💨 And it isn't a lack of experience! Sometimes we just have too much on our minds.

Forgetting an ingredient is common....no worries. You fixed it elegantly and honestly.
I like what you're doing. I've gone back and watched many of the previous videos. You've been very busy and efficient, and have saved many of us hours of time.
Hope to make my first batch of perfected flour this weekend.... already have the ingredients.
Thanks so much, and keep up the great work.

Just had a piece of this cake for dessert. Used lemon jello (lemon everything for me). It was marvelous! Good rise, excellent texture, flavor (keto indiscernible). So happy with this cake. It can become the yellow cake that lends itself to whatever one’s fancy!! Thank you again! Write a book!! 🙏🏼

@@jtsra7 I finally had the chance to try to make tres leches cake with this cake as the base. Unfortunately, this cake did not absorb any of the soaking milk. I ended up having to pour all of the milk mixture into a mason jar. Then I spooned some no sugar added blackberry jam on top of the cake and added whipped cream on top of that. The cake tasted very good, but just didn't work for the tres leches cake. 0f course, I could have done something wrong while making the cake, but it didn't work out for me. I'm going to try making tres leches cake next with a keto sponge cake I made that worked successfully as a base for tiramisu.

Ok, so I made blueberry muffins with this cake recipe! Winner winner. My kiddos ate 3 muffins a piece and were asking for more.
This recipe gave me 12 good-sized muffins plus an 8x8 pan. All I did was add a little cinnamon and approximately 1 cup of fresh blueberries. Oh, and they were cooked in around 25 mins. Mmmmmm, I wish I could share a photo. They were beautiful and looked and tasted like real muffins. Thanks Victoria

Victoria, I actually loved the moment you forgot the sweetener because it showed that that I’m not alone in my baking mistakes! That is such real life! It so reminds me of a time when I was 5 years old and baking peanut butter cookies with my grandmother. She accidentally substituted salt for sugar! She kept the salt in a canister next to the other baking ingredients. I happened to taste the dough and imagine my surprise! I told her it was really salty and she didn’t understand why so she tasted it herself and she and I had the biggest laugh as we had to start completely over! She was an excellent baker so baking mistakes can happen to anyone! Thanks for keeping it real!

Ok, I made this today, Victoria for my birthday. I had a lot of jello so the cake was red but it made no difference. Absolutely delicious! My husband, who is the cook in our family, suggested next time to add some blueberries to the batter and use lemon jello for a different version. We’ll do that. Thank you for all your hard work. ❤ Also, love your daughter’s reaction.

I add more holes for more red stripes, I use a meat fork with 2 tines aft cake cools some & use a ladle or large spoon to ladle the jello liquid very very slowly into the holes and watch it sink in the cake. If you whip the cream like Victoria does in her video (i.e., start out on low and then gradually increase the speed over the course of 4 to 5 minutes), the whipped cream will stay firm for 2 to 3 days in the fridge without a stabilizer because you're incorporating more air into the cream than if you just start out at full speed and whip it into whipped cream as fast as possible.

I saw that study too. Dr Ken Berry broke it down for us and he said it was based in people who used an excessive amount of erythritol daily. Not occasional minimal use. And it didn’t consider other health factors the people had.
