@@Dashamuulam i would agree to that as i own altroz since the beginning of the year, but after 2nd service, tatamotors has recalled all altroz xz for engine software update, the engine feels slightly more refined than before and i wouldn't call it underpowered, the low end punch improved a lot after this update, believe me, even swift couldn't chase me while friendly racing in winding roads and i know how to shift gear to maintain the right rpm for altroz petrol to keep it in the powerband. That demo car you drive is not an updated car, infact, any demo car doesn't show the true colour of a private owned car, demo cars are always less maintained.

None of you people address long term maintenance costs and reliability which is very important factor in India,I have polo tsi 2015 model run only 20k km other than expensive service cost, replaced abs sensors 6 times which totally unacceptable in this era
Honda jazz bought in 2016 ran 35 k km no issues apart from regular maintenance, even tyres are still stock,feels good to drive😍 sad part part is warranty period is over without changing anything at all😒

well.... people don't do drag races in daily driving. However, good amount of torque, good breaking and good handling is something which will be used on daily basis, doesn't matter if you are driving in city or on highway.
Altroz is on another level oodles of space, light clutch and accltr, feels like a luxury, where as the polo is ultimate riding car made for sheer driving purpose. I20 on another is wiredly designed car with borrowed looks of verna and brio from backside. No an enthusiastic car!!
We are giving too much of an emphasis to ‘hot hatch’ credentials the moment an automaker decides to give a turbo petrol engine. Turbo engines are becoming more prevalent not to prove the credentials of automaker as ‘hot hatch maker’ but to offset the impact of ever tightening emissions on the drivability and acceleration of the the NA engines that are becoming duller by each new emission norm. The responsible auto journalists of India, Pl. stop using the term ‘hot hatch’ so loosely. These are mildly warm hatches at best. Polo GT included. Till the time we are not getting polo gti and i20 N, lets not get into the rather stupid ‘hot hatch’ discussion.
I had polo for 2 year ...nd take test drive of Altroz recently ..nd must say its handling s almost same as polo nd ride quality s far better than polo ....if it comes with turbo than Mark my word it will become top nd best car in this segment

If you see the 60km/hr comparison, the Polo is way better than the other 2 cars. At 70km/hr the Polo is the worst. I feel there has been a mistake while turning in at 70 km/hr for the Polo alone, coz that much difference in just 10km/hr doesn't feel right.... I feel if you look at the video closely you can spot it....

well.... people don't do drag races in daily driving. However, good amount of torque, good breaking and good handling is something which will be used on daily basis, doesn't matter if you are driving in city or on highway.

Altroz is on another level oodles of space, light clutch and accltr, feels like a luxury, where as the polo is ultimate riding car made for sheer driving purpose. I20 on another is wiredly designed car with borrowed looks of verna and brio from backside. No an enthusiastic car!!
We are giving too much of an emphasis to ‘hot hatch’ credentials the moment an automaker decides to give a turbo petrol engine. Turbo engines are becoming more prevalent not to prove the credentials of automaker as ‘hot hatch maker’ but to offset the impact of ever tightening emissions on the drivability and acceleration of the the NA engines that are becoming duller by each new emission norm.
The responsible auto journalists of India, Pl. stop using the term ‘hot hatch’ so loosely. These are mildly warm hatches at best. Polo GT included.
Till the time we are not getting polo gti and i20 N, lets not get into the rather stupid ‘hot hatch’ discussion.

@@BeyExpert Please keep it for yourself. Neither am I in the market for a hatchback nor am I a fan boy. If I want to buy one, I still have options. But not a lot. 1. Polo 2. Altroz 3. i20. But i20 is priced way too high. That again leaves me with just Polo and Altroz.
If you see the 60km/hr comparison, the Polo is way better than the other 2 cars. At 70km/hr the Polo is the worst. I feel there has been a mistake while turning in at 70 km/hr for the Polo alone, coz that much difference in just 10km/hr doesn't feel right.... I feel if you look at the video closely you can spot it....
Altroz~1. Facade needs an update like the nexon.
2. At least 170mm of GC is the crying need coz the front bumper overhang is too long
