@@sonyratan I haven't faced a lot of issues with Tata but yes, small problems here and there are very common with Tata vehicles , but I am out and out a automotive guy and I know even the engineering aspect of automotive industry so it becomes much easier for me to tackle any and every situation. And believe me, there will be situations with Tata vehicles, it's not like it's a VW where everything is taken care of by the service. if I am being very honest, please do not buy a Tata vehicle as your first car.(people might disagree, but that's the truth) NOW, IF YOU STILL WANT TO BUY Service is OK at best. You have to literally stand there in service center and order them to follow whats written in use a manual in-service section(for that have to read service section carefully) 2. Always be present when they change oil. 3. Very IMPORTANT- do not for one second go soft on service center people if there is a part that is not right and you want to change it or claim it under warranty be absolutely ruthless to service center people and have it changed, if they do not help you take email ID of service manager and CC him in the loop with a complaint on companies email address. OR SIMPLY YOU CAN BUY VOLKSWAGEN THEY LITERALLY TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING HYUNDAI IS ALSO GOOD, BUT YOU DON'T GET THE SAFETY. In the name of safety Tata is selling Tiago petrol engine at a premium price. Hence it is the least refined engine with mediocre performance. Glanza is better I guess..
Considered buying one of these as my first car. It was very difficult to reject the Glanza coz the AMT was a gem. Finally chose the i20 iVT for better rear seat comfort, armrest and premium fit and finish. Altroz was out of contention for somehow reminding of an Indica and having a three cylinder engine

You either choose to buy a sturdier chassis for peace of mind in an eventuality and compromise on refinement and comfort everyday OR pick a less sturdy chassis for overall smooth and happy experience everyday. Either way you drink poison, it’s upto you and your needs what you drink. All mass market cars in this segment are passive safety cars so the safety argument also is tinted if you look closely.
I chose Altroz as safety was my first priority. I bought the NA version and touchwood it does not even feel 3 cylinder. Awesome premium car. i20 was never in my list because GNCAP has stated that the "car structure is unstable" so a most dangerous car unfortunately. Pls be careful and don't ride much on highways.
Being a Hyundai user for last 10 years and Tata user for last 3 years, i would now try glanza, Toyota product for it will come from Toyota. I am vouching on good after sales service which is good in Hyundai and pathetic in Tata. Yes build quality is lesser compared to Tata, but then i would go for G or V for 6 airbags. Hyundai after sales service has also deteriorated but still way better than Tata. Also i am going to avoid Tata for cars full of glitches like engine locked issue, nvh due to unrefined engine, rattlings, poor mileage and low spare availability with pathetic and irresponsible behaviour from service advisors as icing on top.
I20- if you have good budget, but safety compromised Baleno- Get everything st discount price, but safety is fusss. Altroz- family man car Now you choose

Safety is more important, if the Altroz is coming with decent equipment, not an issue, as they are very practical, instead of having so much gimmicky features which in other cars it is too much, spending money on that car is better which offers better safety levels and also having practical features, and it's Altroz that I will pick.

I have seen people selling i20 within 6 months of purchase. Interior feel bit plasticy and built quality is not good. Even minor scratch leave dent on the body. If one needs good engine go for glanza otherwise altroz is very good option.
The automatic transmission in new glanza has a lag while changing gears, should have been CVT like earlier models unlike AMT this time, which is not such a good Automatic gear system
