He hit on one of the reasons I like them so much. They're three like-minded people who enjoy each other and want to make music together. No hidden agendas or surprises, just three friends who like working together. Then you add in that all three are exceptional musicians, and you have all the magic you need.
Oddly enough, I was introduced to the name of Michael Chabon when the Monkees released their very last studio album in 2018, their Christmas album called "Christmas Party." Chabon wrote an excellent, really unusual song for the album called "House of Broken Gingerbread." It tells the story of a "typical" Christmas from the viewpoint of a kid from a broken home whose parents live in different parts of the country. Thanks, Justin, for all the Rush content. I appreciate it.
Fun facts on this one. Talked to Geddy about it at the book signing for BBBass...because Michael is my wife's cousin. When I found out he (Chabon) had done this (before it aired) he said "Oh I didn't know u were a huge fan...I would have invited you." SmH. And yes Mr. Chabon is quite a talent.

The “R40” thing was a bit confused on the marketing side. On the band’s 40th, and before they even planned a tour, they released a box set of several previous tours, including bonus material. That box set was called “R40”. I think that was the thumbnail they showed.
Yes, Justin even used the wrong R40 image on his thumbnails for the R40 videos. I resisted saying anything for a long time but I can no longer resist the temptation 🐾
Michael Chabon is, imo, one of the most unique voices in recent American Literature. His writing and plot lines can tend to meander a bit but it’s so rich that you don’t mind. his use of language is literally sublime. just read a single page of his text from almost anything and you will get the idea. I recommend if you are at all interested in checking out, the amazing adventures of Kavalier and Klay which is one of my favorite novels to this day. I understand it’s not for everyone, but there is greatness there.

It's sad that the rush discography is coming to an end,but I tip my imaginary hat to you,you have done a great job.
If you are ever mad enough to do another one,opeth would be my pick,besides rush these are my favorite band.
