    Well Sir, I was just looking up that exact set up with the HD, and here it is you showing me 🤣. When I get a chance, I’ll pick one up, the only difference being a pressure pot set up. Thank you Sir, cheers

    Hi Pete glad you picked up the Advance, I've always known it was a good gun from the day of its launch and tbh got one and absolutely loved it , have a happy new yr bud 😉😉😉😉

      Hi Dean, The Advance is a supremely universal gun, from 0.85 to 2.0mm, and everything in between.
      I do like mine, but I'm always swapping and changing, so I never get much time with it. I think it a better sealing arrangement that the Pro Lite.
      Was using my Pro Lite S today, so the Sri Pro Lite, great little guns, and so good on air 😁
      Cheers mate, happy new year 🎉 👍

    Hi Pete, first of a Happy New Year to you mate and lets hope 2025 will bring you loads more guns😁loved the video and this was another good comparison I haven't seen many of the Advance HD guns for sale but from what I've seen they do seem to be good guns, the body looks the same as the old GTI Pro but it must be different where the aircap fits as it has a different (and better) baffle/seal setup so I do wonder why they made the Pro/ProLite like they did, saying that I've never had any issues with the gasket on either of my guns🤔
    It was great to see the Bellaria doing it's thing again mate it's a great gun and lays the base and clear very well but I haven't tried it for primer or WoW, both guns did a great job on the clear it's hard to split them from the video but I think the Advance gave a slightly flatter finish👌cheers mate👍

      Hi John, You are probably right. This was a case of the gun. it looks like it's not doing well, which was the Advance, and it did really well. It flowed nicely afterwards.
      I always thought it was just a Pro lite but it made differently so is its own gun, be going for years now, often seen in industry applications particularly in the pressure feed version.
      Cheers mate, happy new year 🎉 👍

      Hi Gregory, Yes mate, I have. It's out at the end of January as far as I know, so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
      It's a bit of a departure styling wise, particularly with the fluid control, which the adjuster no longer screws directly into the body. It looks like it just has a cap.
      Cheers buddy 👍

      It also becomes time that they replace the 4400 minijets, which are still based on the full sized 4000 series which are almost ancient now. The 5000 and 5500 never had a little brother. 😊
      And the DVS1 clearly surpassed the 4400 imho, so it's time for a minijet X. 😊

    When I bought my advance hd it was $400 au ($650 now 🤦‍♂️) . In pressure fed form , the advance hd has the most comically large fan you'll ever see (1.2 tip with a 510 cap - and ~20psi fluid pressure) I'm guessing the gravity fed has a rather small fan in comparison . I would say that , in pressure fed , the adv is a better gun than a pro lite in pressure fed , it has a much better range 👍 . Anyway , all the best for the new year Pete 👍👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Andrew, It was you who told me the sealing mechanism for the front tip was different from the Pro Lite,
      I was looking for one at a reasonable price for ages and assumed it was the same arrangement as the Pro Lite, which clearly wasn't the case.
      I know the pressure version is very widely used in industrial applications where there's plenty to be done.
      Happy new mate, and thanks for the support 👍

    Hey Pete! That Devilbiss really laid it down pretty slick. Unfortunately, they're still costing a pretty penny here in the US. Even used they're running a little under $500 which doesn't seem to be much less than new if ordering from overseas.
    I did try the Kiwami4 recently on Upol HS and it did great albeit it seems to use more paint than a few of my other guns. It isn't horrible by far on wastage overall considering the speed and flatness it's able to put down.
    Great video!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Boss, Yes, they can be pretty costly, which is a shame as it makes them inaccessible for many.
      I bought the one in this video for equivalent to 200 USD, I sold the one in this video for the same as I bought it for and bought a "Cog" special edition version for the same money.
      I must admit, if I was looking at 500 USD, I would have to think twice. They are good, but probably not that good!
      Cheers mate, happy new year 👍

    Hi Pete i hope you are having a great New Year. Your thoughts....Settling for ANI s F160 for clears with a1.3 tip...R160 with a 1mm or a 1.2 tip...for base metallic's, which one is best for me smart repairs ?

      @peteshobbies5383  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Mate, Yes, all good here. Hopefully, it's the same for you,
      For base coats on smart repairs, I would go 1.0. Certainly, the normal setup for minis in R160 is 1.0 for base and 1.2 or 1.3 for clear, F160 is a good gun, and will cover full bumpers with ease, as well as smaller areas, cheers mate 👍

    My friend, I think that the Bellaria production line has stopped. Does the Kiwami 4 give the same work as Bellaria or less performance?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Mate, I don't think production has stopped everywhere .
      The Kiwami4 that is equivalent to the Bellaria , was the Kiwami4 BA4J, with the bronze/copper cap and controls, but they have stopped production of that Kiwami4.
      They spray the same as each other

    I've been using p400 Abranet discs for years prior to a flow coat without any problems, untill a couple of weeks ago. I suddenly see sanding marks now when the clear has dried, even with two coats. I'm still in the dark why that is. I've read that an old DA sander could start become more agressive (larger orbit because of wear and tear) which could be true in my case because my Deros is 7 years old now which i use almost daily and never skipped a beat. Or the clear i normally use is lower in solids now. So i'm not sure.
    For now i use a quick p400 pass and finish with p800, that solves it.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Harold, Is your DA a 2.5 or 5.0 orbit? I now use a 2.5 orbit for flow coats, and it works well

    • @Harolddespui
      @Harolddespui 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's a 5.
      Never had any problems with it (with P400) even with sanding primers before basecoat, never had the need to go finer, but now it suddenly starts to show.

      Hi Mate, You should be able to get a pretty decent finish with that setup.
      So, what gun settings including pressure are you using?
      What clear coat and do you thin it? Heat it? , what's the temperature your working in?, your distance from the work?

    • @zZZSPARKZZz
      @zZZSPARKZZz 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @peteshobbies5383 fluid wide open and fan wide open. For clear 22psi. 10% thinners. Very bad heating. In my home garage. No insulation. Bit further away in distance due to avoiding runs. Temp is about 11c. Upol s2080 with extra fast hardener.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      First off, the pressure needs to go up, I'm presuming this is a none digital version, so the pressure you are talking about is at the base of the gun?
      It needs to be around 29psi, I know the Upol very well. Are you heating the clear up?, this clear really doesn't flow well when it's cold, 10% thinners is fine

    Hey Pete something I heard from your top 12 spray guns, do you think the iwata lph400 is the same as the iwata w400 wb2 air cap you said something like that. I have a couple of spray guns but dont own a iwata yet so just looking for some options as the lph400 isn't available through sprayguns direct

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hi Mate, The LVX cap on the LPH400 , so the orange one, is the same as the WBX cap, so, if you put a WBX cap on a W400, and the tip from an Iwata WS400 OBS Series 1, you would have an LPH400 LVX, to get a LPH400, you can't use the standard tip from the WBX as it only has 3 splits not the 4 that the LPH400 has.
      Hopefully, that makes sense 😀

      Hi Jason, That certainly sounds like there was a problem there.
      People send me photos sometimes and videos of the problems they have, and it's not normally bits in the work. It's silicone holes, mainly brought on by water and oil going through the line but they are wondering if its left by the cloth.
      You are right of course, some clothes aren't too good but I suspect they are few and far between, and, of course, you can sometime get a doggy batch, sounds like you're blue one's were a nightmare 🫣, cheers mate 👍
